Chapter 101: Chapter 101

Ethan was discussing a new advertising proposal with Elias Sinclair in the office. Even though he felt a strange sensation at the mention of Quinn Lockwood being ’in love’ and ’settling down’ with someone else, the idea was indeed catchy and the contract allowed Ethan to modify the plan anytime, so Elias agreed.

The next issue was choosing the male lead. Naturally, Elias didn’t want to choose anyone, so the problem fell directly onto Ethan.

Joyce Kramer, listening to their discussion, made a silent plan in her mind.

"How about considering Dylan Quinn?" she suggested.

Joyce wasn’t aware of the private relationship between Dylan and Quinn Lockwood. She only knew they belonged to the same agency and believed that Dylan was definitely annoyed by Quinn’s arrogant and unreasonable character. New ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄhapters are published on novèlfire.net

Plus, considering the recent rumors about them, Quinn must have done it deliberately to ride on Dylan’s popularity. If they worked together, things definitely wouldn’t go smoothly.

"Dylan is indeed a good choice. He’s popular and has a good reputation, with a sunny and warm boy-next-door image, which matches our product theme well," Ethan nodded in agreement. He had heard of Dylan, who was currently a hot star in the entertainment industry with good looks, acting skills, and a reputation for good character.

At the mention of Dylan’s name, a hint of displeasure flashed in Elias’s eyes. He knew Dylan was indeed a suitable candidate, but for some reason, thoughts of previous interactions between Quinn and Dylan brought an odd feeling to him.

He frowned, pondering for a moment, and realized that, indeed, there was no reason not to use Dylan, given his strength and popularity, making him the best candidate for Sinclair’s latest jewelry series.

Seeing Elias not objecting, Joyce breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Dylan and Savannah Lowell belong to the same agency, so I assume I’ll quickly get a response once I contact his manager about this collaboration."

Dylan was her opportunity to visit the studio, which she must seize.

"I’ll leave the collaboration to you, and once the contract is signed, notify the planning department immediately to expedite the new proposal," Elias said to Joyce while rubbing his temples, leaning back in his chair.

All because of that woman who angered him in the middle of the night, causing him to hardly sleep at all, despite often being busy throughout the night handling company matters.

Even being able to rest for half an hour or an hour could help regain a lot of energy. But this was the first time he had stayed awake all night, feeling infuriated and still needing to stay busy the next day.

Joyce noticed Elias’s tired look, hurried to fetch him a cup of freshly brewed Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, also bringing a cup for Ethan.

"President Sinclair, don’t overwork yourself," she said as she set down the coffee, watching Elias.

"Hmm, you go ahead, overtime is unavoidable at this stage," Elias glanced at the time and picked up his coffee.

Seeing President Sinclair take note of her work hours, Joyce couldn’t help but feel a little happy. She assured Elias she’d work quickly to sign the contract with Dylan and hurried to contact the manager with her documents.

After Joyce left, Ethan took a sip of coffee and smacked his lips, saying, "This coffee is really nice, and your assistant is not bad either."

"If you like her, I wouldn’t mind playing matchmaker," Elias said coldly, looking at him.

"Come on, come on, that’s not my type," Ethan took another sip of coffee, lowering his eyes and suddenly flashing an enticing smile.

"I think Savannah Lowell’s type isn’t bad, we get along quite..." sensing a sudden chill in the air and noticing the icy gaze from the other party.

He quickly shut his mouth, showing a cheeky smile and explaining to Elias, "Just kidding, just kidding, getting along as friends would be great, I never fancied female celebrities in the entertainment industry, which you already know."

Why such a big reaction? After knowing Elias for so many years, he had mentioned numerous women in front of him, but never seen him react this way to anyone. Could it be... gawd, the iron tree is blooming.

Ethan’s eyes darted around, and Elias knew he definitely wasn’t thinking about anything serious.

"If you’re idle with nothing to do, maybe you should focus on researching the specific details of the advertisement; otherwise, if there’s a production delay, I’ll hold you responsible for any losses," Elias’s tone carried dissatisfaction as he glanced at him.

"Oh, come on, my friend, don’t worry, whenever you say start shooting, I can start immediately," Ethan stuck his leg up, lazily leaning back in his chair, making Elias’s gaze even sharper.

"Then I’ll... head back to the hotel, not to disturb you any further, goodbye." Feeling the intense gaze from across, Ethan didn’t want to linger for even a second and bolted out.

After dinner, Quinn Lockwood was resting in her room when Kevin informed her about the changes in the shooting plan and the upcoming collaboration with Dylan.

Since the document revision and detail modification would take some time, the shooting schedule was temporarily postponed with a new proposal learning session scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

Quinn felt somewhat happy because this way, she would have more time today to study Mr. Sherman’s notes and could sleep a bit longer the next day.

Being familiar with Dylan, she was also more at ease working with him, knowing that with his guidance, the shooting would certainly be smoother.

Elias returned to the hotel, stopped in front of Quinn Lockwood’s door, and after pausing for a couple of seconds, returned directly to his room to rest.

Meanwhile, at The Sinclair Residence, Nina Sinclair hadn’t seen her brother for days and asked if Grandpa Sinclair knew where he had gone.

"Your brother is busy with new product matters these days. Make sure not to bother him if you don’t have anything important," Grandpa Sinclair warned her sternly, knowing the new product’s spokesperson was Quinn Lockwood, fearing Nina would cause trouble.

Nina pursed her lips, deciding she wouldn’t bother risking annoyance with her brother while he was busy — she’d be foolish to do so.

Quinn Lockwood slept through to the next morning without any disturbances.

"Ahh, refreshing!" She stretched lazily, turned over on her bed, checked her phone, realizing it was already 10 AM, noticing a message from Dylan.

"Are you going to the learning session at The Sinclair Group this afternoon?"
