Chapter 50: Chapter 50
Marietta P.O.V
I SCREAMED!
When I opened my eyes, my face was covered in sweat and heat was rising out of my face. It took me only one second to understand, It was a nightmare. That nightmare which was a part of me since childhood. But......this time....it was more than I usually saw. It was increasing randomly day by day.
"Ohh! Dear, are you awake?" Mom's voice reached my eardrums and I looked at her. I tried to shift in a sitting position but unable to do so. Because of moving, there was a hot water bag on my forehead that fell off.
She took that and then said, "My goodness! It became a hot water bag."
She sat beside me and massaged my head, "How are you feeling now?"
"What happened to me?" My voice was low and exhausted.
"You fell in the swimming pool last night and went unconscious. Walter took you here and called us. Your body was so much heated. You had a fever." She touched my forehead. "You still have."
She told me what she knew, but I knew more than that. That vampire than my masked savior, for sure, Walter, would ask so many questions. But the worst part was my effeminate. I was a coward, how was I supposed to fight with that vampire?
"What are you thinking?" Mom asked softly. I shook my head.
"I'll bring something to eat and then you will have medicine. Also, you are not going to leave this bed today. Got this?" Mom said and stood up to leave while I just nodded.
She left the room and I felt guilty. I didn't know why? I was feeling bad, worse, or maybe awful. I was a coward. I got afraid to saw that vampire in front of me.
'I'm a real coward.'
"No, you aren't." Walter was standing in the doorframe, he said, and walked towards the bed.
"Place that on your silly head." He put an ice bag again on my forehead.
"But....." He cut me off. "It's your Mom's order, you are going to rest today. It meant no silly thoughts or else I will finish them on my own." He warned and I smiled at his words and closed my eyes.
After 10 minutes, Mom came with soup and some medicines. She authoritatively made me finish both things and left with an order to sleep and rest. I took literally the subway to sleep. When I woke up it had been afternoon.
Walter was standing on the window and looking at God knows what. I didn't say anything not even thought about anything because I knew he will read my mind without my permission but I was tired of that lying position. It seemed like I had not use my legs for centuries.
I shifted into a sitting position. I felt much better now. My face felt cool and no heat was coming out of it.
"Hey, Walter! What are you thinking or are you again peeking inside someone's brain?" I asked mischievously.
He smiled then turned towards me and asked, "Who's that lady?" I felt frozen.
"W...which lady?" I shuttered. I knew, who he was talking about.
"Princess!!!" He looked at me with a look said It-would-be-better-you-should-tell-me-now and I gulped.
"Walter.....actaully. Let it be." I winced.
"No! She knows everything about Annabella. How?" Walter's voice was bothered.
"I don't know," I said confused. She always knew everything about everyone. She even knew about the real murderer.
I exhaled deeply. There was no way to escape now. I had to tell him one day, why not today be that day. I looked at him and he wanted an answer, a satisfying one. So I told him.
"She is my Masked savior. I don't know her name but she always saved me, whenever I was in trouble." I told him. "She's saving my life since my childhood."
"Why?" He asked confused.
"I don't know," I shrugged.
"Unbelievable. Do you know she is not human?" He said with disbelief.
"Wait.......Did she sent you in the crystal world back that night?" He asked and I nodded.
He came towards me and sat beside me. "Is she trustworthy?" His voice was full of concern.
"Yes. She is my life savior. She is not a bad person. I trust her." I said softly and calmly. He thought for a while and then finally smiled, "Alright. I trust you."
"By the way, are you always peek inside everyone's mind?" I asked and he chuckled. "Princess, this is a habit and I can't change it." I smiled.
"Is there something else you want to tell me?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Well......" I thought to understand what was he talking about. He tried to help me by saying, "Maybe...about a bad dream."
"Yes. The worst nightmare as old as I remember. It was supposed to be the same but today I saw something more in it. Something different. I can't explain it to you." I closed my eyes to again saw that person becoming a stone statue in front of me.
"Is it only a dream or it meant something else?" He looked totally confused.
"I can't say anything. But maybe they are more than dreams. Maybe...just maybe they are some kind of glimpse of the future. Or visions... I don't know. I'm not sure about it..." I shared my gut feeling with him. And it felt relieved. I had never told anyone about my nightmare but telling him was making me easy.
"Do you know, you are the only person who knows about my all secrets. About my real identity, crystal world, nightmare, and now about the masked savior." I count all things on my fingertips.
"True....." He said and looked at me with a mischievous grin, "but there is still one thing left."
"What?" I asked confused.
He slowly stood up then said, "About......" He moved slowly towards the door while I watched his action, totally confused, "the person who has stolen your heart....... none other than Veward." He said and hurriedly reached the door and opened it.
I pick a pillow and throw it towards him. Lucky me, it directly and perfectly landed on Veward face.
Walter and Bre burst into laughter and I slapped my forehead. Guess what happened, Veward was about to open the door when Walter did that owner.
Veward frowned and looked at me with a poker face. I mumbled a little, "Oops, sorry!"
"What on earth are you two doing?" Veward asked totally pissed off.
"Nothing!"
"Some fun."
Walter and I said at the same time. I glared at him and he grinned in return.
"Stop it guys....." Bre pushed them aside and came towards me. "How are you feeling now?"
"Good," I smiled.
"Yeah, I can see that," Veward replied with his gaze focused on Walter. I chuckled. He was a real jealous king of Europe.
"Have you found anything?" I asked.
They both were desperately finding the user of that email that was used to send me emails. There was a friend of Bre, who knew some hacking. So, maybe they got something. I internally prayed to God that, please we gained something there.
"Yep, we got the address. It's at Street #76 House #24 at street*** road***," Bre said and showed me a picture of a house. "This is the outer view of that location from where that email is operated. " He handed me and added, "We'll go there soon with full cautions."
I looked at the picture carefully. It looked quite beautiful. The architecture of the house was stunning. It was a two-floor house with a sophisticated front view.
"Are you sure about it?" I asked. He nodded. I looked at Veward and Walter, they both were passing daggers at each other. Bre shook his head on both of them and chuckled.
*************
My eyes were fixed on the wall clock. The click-clock sound was clearly hearable in the silent cabin.
I was sitting in my office cabin and staring at the wall clock. Time was mean. It always passed away without waiting for anyone. Time had never waited for anyone and it will never wait. We should accomplish our tasks in time before it got too late to even weep.
Two days had passed and I did not do anything appreciatable. Veward and Bre were not letting me enter inside any kind of stuff about that house or the owner. They said 'It will be saved if I trust them.'
Damn it! Of course, I do trust them but that's not a thing.
If I thought about Annabella and her mysterious weakness. My mind started to spin and nothing came out. Then I thought about my nightmare. Could it be possible it was some kind of vision? My life was totally sucked with lots of mysteries and no clue.
A knocked on the door shifted my eyes from the clock to door. Caro came inside, "Are you free?" She walked towards my desk and stood in front of it.
"Yes," I said and looked at her. She was looking worried about something, but in her business wear, she looked stunning as always.
"Great. Then go to the conference room. You are going to lead a meeting." She said or more like ordered in a straight tone.
"Wait.....why? I didn't know about any meeting." I asked and stood up from my comfortable chair.
Now, we were face to face.
"Because It's my business and I have some important errand to run." She said with a clenched jaw, she was angry. "And if your highness will like to take care of it then I shall go to handle other stuff." She pressured each word.
It always broke my heart, the way she talked to me. How she did not like me. She hated me more than anything. I looked at her, fighting back tears.
"Can't you do such a little thing for your sister?" She again asked because of my silence.
"Okay." I simply said and there was a small, really small smile on her lips which never reach her ears.
"Here..." She placed the file on the table which she was holding, "are some details of the meeting. I hope it will go well. Good luck!" With that, she stomped out of the cabin.
I looked at the file and walked towards the conference room. "Who is she?" Walter asked. He was taking a tour outside the cabin because I wanted some time alone.
"Sister," I replied in one word.
"You have a sister too?" He asked shocked. I just nodded. Of course, he didn't see her before because she spent most of her spare time with Liam and out of the mansion, anywhere but near me.
