Chapter 30: Chapter 30

Marietta P.O.V

I entered the Amino building with full confidence. My heels were making the sound of click-clack on the white marble. I had worn white pants with a white button-down shirt, pairing it with a red blazer while my hairs were falling freely on my shoulders. Today the weather was bright and clear just like hopefully my day.

Today, no one was passing daggers at me and no one was whispering anything, instead, when I reached the lobby. A girl came towards me,

"Good Morning Ma'am, sir Brett is waiting for you on the 40th floor." She smiled and led me the way towards the elevator. I mirrored her smile and wonder about her name.

"Alright and your sweet name?" I asked finally when I realized that there was no use in forcing my little brain.

"Ma'am, it's Ava. I'm the assistant of managing advisor." She replied.

"You mean Bre?" I asked as we both stepped inside the elevator. She nodded.

Uh-oh! Why he never told me about his cute assistant? She was a girl who looked exactly of Bre's age. With blonde hair and blue eyes, a slim girl yet attractive with her cute facial features.

What happened last night was unbelievable still, I believed it. I, Marietta Amino was their princess, their lost heir. Which meant I no longer belong to this world but I refused to accept that fact. This world was also mine and I didn't know if they were right or wrong. Maybe I wasn't their princess, nor lost heir.

Maybe, I was just a normal girl and they misunderstood me. Plus, did I have powers? Absolutely not!

"Ma'am!" Ava's voice cut the chain of my thoughts.

The elevator had already opened and the poor girl was waiting for me to step out.

"Oh! Sorry I was spaced out." I smiled.

"Indeed you are!" Bre said and appeared from behind her. Bre was looking handsome as always in blue jeans, a green V-neck shirt, and a brown blazer.

"You may go now." He said to Ava. After she left, he turned towards me. I raised my brows.

"What? Have you seen a ghost or something?" He asked.

"Why you never tell me about your cute assistant?" I questioned.

"She is on internship and joined just four days ago." He retorted.

"That's it?" I teasingly smiled.

"Ma'am, if you like to do some work then come after me because we don't have too much time to waste here!" He said pissed off and started to walk. I chuckled.

He led me through a long alley of cabins and stopped in front of one wooden door. Which was almost in the middle of the long lobby.

He opened the door and entered inside. It was a beautiful yet simple cabin with white walls and black furniture. There was a desk on the right side while some couch with a table on the left and in the middle there was a square shape glass table with four black chairs. The best part was the left mirror wall, which was showing a beautiful view of the city.

"So, this is your cabin." Bre said and I looked at him in 'REALLY'. If it was mine then it was incredible.

"It's so beautiful." I complimented. I felt goosebumps all over my body as I walked towards the desk, everything was settled neatly there, a laptop, some papers, folders, notepad, paper wait, pen, and pencils, etc.

"So," Bre said.

"So," I repeated.

"You have a meeting with Mr.Wilson because sir Max has decided to check your presentation and leading abilities. Then you have to check Caro's new winter collections then you have to finalize the bottle designs for our new perfumes, then you're going to attend five meetings with me and after a long tiring day there is a club party which Veward have planned at your favorite club." He told me everything in one breath. While I just managed to nod and noted everything in my mind.

"Your first meeting with Mr. Wilson will be in 30 minutes. Here, read it carefully and be prepared." He said, pointing towards a brown folder on the table.

"Don't be nervous because I'm going to attend it with you but as an advisor. You are the one who's going to explain. It's a four-person meeting to discuss the first project of Rose and Amino's collaboration. This project is going to be a game-changer for both companies. In other words, no mistake should be happening and I want your best." He looked at me with his one of a rare serious look.

"Ok." I nodded.

"Alright. Any question?" He asked, looking at me.

"Nope." I said simply and opened the folder to read it. There were so many papers to read.

"Really!" He asked in a disbelief-filled voice and ended up laughing. I glared at him and hit his arm.

"Shut up!"

"By the way, I have a match on Sunday night." He said, sitting on the chair. I walked behind the desk and sat on the head chair. It was a black leather rolling chair and was very comfortable.

"Match? Aren't you on a break?" I asked because after the tournament he was supposed to have a break.

"Yes." He said and made the curiosity inside me ask more questions.

"Then?" I asked.

He leaned on the table and pointed me with his finger to move closer. His action made me suspicious that he did something stupid. But I leaned anyways.

"Streetfight." He whispered.

"STREET FIGHT! Are you insane? It's illegal." I yelled. He clenched his eyes and moved back, rubbing his ear with a finger.

"I'm not deaf." He flinched.

"You....." He didn't let me complete and interrupted, "Listen. We've found something about that tattoo guy. In case of getting more information and clues, we've to participate in a fight because that is the only option to enter their territory." He said.

"And what did you guys found?" I knitted my brows. So, that was the thing they were discussing last night. Last night felt like centuries ago because of the crystal world.

"Maybe.....we are just one step away from that blue-eyed tattoo guy." He raised both brows and shrugged. I didn't want to ask how they get information and all because they will make me shut by saying, 'I have my ways.'

"I'll come with you," I said.

I just wanted to meet that guy and asked him before handing him to cops that why he did that? Why he killed my brother? What we ever had done to him? What did he gain?

Suddenly, the image of us all together appeared in front of my eyes. We were so happy, they were so happy. Then just in a second, everything vanished, everything disappeared. I disappeared and everything changed. Nothing remained the same. Neither I remained the same.

The chapter of the crystal world entered my life and changed the rest of things. Lost heir and princess of the crystal world. Was that even true?

"Back to earth!" Bre snapped his fingers in front of my eyes and I blinked. "And you're not coming." He declared.

"We will see that." I said, focusing my attention back to the folder in front of me and sending the crystal world on the waiting list.

The rest of the time passed in discussing my first project. It was a hospital project as Amino's and Rose wanted to build the world's best hospital in London. Where the best doctors staff and equipment would be available, which was a good idea considering Amino had his roots in many import and export but in the medical field.

So yes, it was going to be a turning point and game-changer for both companies.

Exactly at 10 am, Mr. Darren Wilson came with his business advisor, a guy with black hair and black eyes, a normal body with Asian features. He was wearing a black business suit and had business expressions all the time. While Darren had worn a blue tuxedo with his hairs messy yet jelled stylishly and he was looking quite stunning.

I led the meeting which was in my cabin. We started the meeting with basic plots and a presentation of all pros and cons, and then about sponsors, the architectural work, the engineering staff, the team we needed for help, and most importantly a perfect land for hospital building which Darren said he would arrange. We almost discuss everything smoothly without any problem.

When the meeting ended Darren said, "At first I thought you would not be able to handle this project but... You impressed me."

I looked at him. Was that a compliment?

I smiled before saying, "I can understand because I am not experienced. But don't you think? Everybody is inexperienced until someone provided them an opportunity. We get it, we prove ourselves and we become experienced."

He smiled and stood up to leave, "Right."

I added with a small smile, "But you know what's the problem here? We don't want to give people chances because we always referred to an experienced person instead of skillful, no one wants to mess up their work but they forget you never know when an inexperienced happened to be more skillful than experienced, skills are necessary. We have to understand this, a person needs an opportunity to prove himself, and we have to provide them that lifetime opportunity. A person can never become experienced unless someone would give him a chance or unless they pushed their limits."

I sounded like a philosopher to my own ears but it was something I felt. When I looked at Bre, he was impressed too but was hardly controlling his laughter.

Darren nodded and added with a smile, "Right, a perfect chance at the right time has always proved as a game-changer. You are quite thoughtful. Once again, it's really pleasant doing business with you."

"It's really good doing business with you too," I said.

After he left, Bre burst into laughter. Hardly controlling his laugh he said, "Oh God! Look at you. You were sounding like a teacher trying to understand her students about experienced and inexperienced."

I glared at him but... Did I?

"Don't you think? He's suspicious." Bre said finally controlling his laughter attack.

"Suspicious? No... Why are you asking this?" I asked. He seemed quite intelligent and professional, I didn't felt anything unusual or suspicious in him.

"In the whole world, there is only one five-star asylum. Dude, an asylum with five stars and you know who is the owner. It's Darren Wilson." He said with curiosity.

"Oh great! A five-star asylum. Send me the address for future needs." I said the last sentence in a deadly serious tone.

"Why?" He curiously asked.

"Of course for you two. It's going to be Bre and Veward future home." I said in a musical voice and we both burst into laughter.

Suddenly, I felt dizzy. Everything around me started to twirl slowly. I hold the chair to prevent falling. A sharp pain aroused in my head and everything started to blur.

"Hey! Are you all alright? Look like you wasted a useful portion of your brain today." Bre chuckled but regretted it when I fell on the floor but still conscious. He helped me in sitting on the chair. He gave me a glass of water which I choked in one gulp.

"Are you feeling better now? What happened? Have you had breakfast today?" He asked. I just managed to nod. My head was hurting badly like someone was continuously hitting a hammer on it.

"You should take leave and go home. I think you need some sleep. After all, you are not going to have a good sleep tonight either and after using high recommend brain you should....." He chuckled when I slapped his arm. Idiot!

Bre sent me home with the driver and I directly went into my room and without changing I jumped on the bed. As soon as I closed my eyes I drifted into a deep slumber.

When I woke up, it was 6. Hopping out of the bed. I went to the washroom and took a warm shower. Now I was feeling refreshed and my head was not hurting either. That headache had started since I got conscious in the crystal world and it began, again and again, with some time gape. Was it suspicious? Or was I overthinking?

Wearing a bathrobe, I came outside and started to found something to wear tonight. The 'Red Rose Club' was my favorite one and in order to give my mind a break, club night wasn't a bad idea.

The club party didn't mean we had invited friends. We were a group of the trio. We never got time to make friends because of our strict schedule of everything. So we were just three and best friends of each other, and we always enjoyed our own company.

I searched the whole closet but didn't found anything appropriate. As usual, so I called Anna loudly. A maid came inside instead, "Do you need anything, princess?"

"Where is Anna? Send her." I said.

I dried my hair and lightly curl them to gave a wavy look and let them fall. Anna came and I asked her to help me. Within no minute, she found a beautiful black sparkle short backless dress. Pairing it with over knee high-heel boots. Applying light makeup. I was ready to go.

Anna complimented me that I was looking hot and sexy. I giggle at her compliment. Looking one last time in the mirror, I moved out to my car and drove myself to the club.
