Amber’s POV

“I’m sorry.”, I whispered but he kept glaring at me like he would eat me anytime for hurting his feelings. “Won’t you say anything?”

“No. I’m mad at you.”

“So, does that mean we’re not going to get married?”

“That…is not going to happen, girl.”, He said in a deadly serious tone. “In fact, we are getting married today, after a few hours to be very precise.”, He added. I was not thinking of everything in such a rush but then sometimes the planned thing was the best.

“Do you think that you can do it in this state? I mean no offense but your body’s still healing.”, I said, on which he raised his eyebrow. “I can feel it through the mate bond.”

He nodded in an understanding way. “I’m not planning any grand wedding as of now. Just on papers.”, He explained. “By the way, I can’t understand how am I healing this fast? I mean this is so uncommon for any human.”

“Umm..well. We used a small amount of vampire blood.”

“What?”

“I...I’m sorry. I’m sorry for that, okay! I know I should have talked with you before using that but then you weren’t in the state to talk.”, I started explaining. “Also, a small amount of vampire blood in your blood won’t harm you or change you from human to vampi..”

“Why are you getting nervous?”, I heard him asking, cutting me in between. “It’s not that I will be mad at you for saving my life. I can understand that was the demand of the situation. At least, I’m relieved that you didn’t ask anyone to change me into a vampire.”

“How I could…when I know the cons of this shifting!”, I stated in tension.

After an hour, two men arrived in our room In Men in Black type dress. I wondered who were they until Alex introduced me to his most trusted attorneys, the only one who was in his middle age was the boss and the young man beside him was his assistant.

“We have brought the marriage agreement, Mr. Stone, including all the details which were asked for.”, The old man said, giving it to his assistant so that he could pass it to Alex. I could help but started wondering when did Alex call him?

“I need some changes in the marriage agreement.”, Alex said, stopping the young man who had taken hardly a step toward Alex. “When I had asked you to prepare the marriage agreement yesterday. I just mentioned my terms and conditions. But now for a change, I want my would-be wife to include her conditions as well.”

“What? Me?”, I was shocked at his statement.

“Yes, Amber. Whatever fear or insecurities or doubts you have in your mind, you can make sure to write them in the agreement so that when we will enter in our new relation then there won’t be any space for any of those things.”

“But, Alex, I trust you and…

“I know you do. Still, go ahead and tell them your conditions, whatever you want. Whatever vows you want from me. I want you to feel that you are not marrying your enemy but the person you are meant to love you, no matter what happens.”

Ms. Potter was just walked into the room with the snacks in her hand and was in awe to witness her boy, pouring his heart in front of the lady who was perfect for him in all the ways.

I thought for a while about the conditions and finally opened my mouth. “I don’t want you to ever leave me in any conditions, in any situation, in anyone’s pressure.”, I poured my first fear which popped out in my heart. “In short, we are never going to reject each other or divorce each other…ever.”

I thought again about my other fear and immediately something else came to my mind. “I don’t want you to cheat on me. You are mine and you will be mine forever.”

Alex smiled and signaled me to go on. “I hate when I have to stay away from you because of your work. So, you will have to take me with you everywhere you go or promise to return back to home by the end of day.”

Alex didn’t like my that condition. I could feel that but then he didn’t counter back just nodded. Because he knew I indirely asked about my freedom. If he would travel outside the country, I would do the same, instead of staying at home.

“That’s it. That’s all are my conditions.”, I said.

“Perfect. Do you want to read mine?”, Alex asked on which I shook my head.

“That’s not required.”, I responsed with a small.

I looked at myself and then Lily through the mirror. “Are you angry with me?”, I asked when Lily was helping me to get ready for the small party of hardly ten people. Alex had thrown it just to celebrate his happiness with his close ones because we were finally married, but on papers.

“I’m not. At least not with you.”, She answered in a cold tone.

Well, what else could you expect from a girl when her own brother sends her to the man who she hated the most.

“You will understand Alex’s reasons someday.”

“Yeah, whatever! I don’t want to talk about that particular topic. It’s my life I will handle it on my way.”, She almost snapped at me.

My wolf growled at her for disrespecting me but then I knew she was disturbed because of her own reason. Her rude behavior toward me had nothing to do with any personal rivalry.

“By the way, stay alert tonight.”, She said, checking my final look. “I’m sure father would have gotten the news of your marriage until now.”

“But I don’t think he will try to kill me, right? After all, he knows how his son will react if something to me.”

“There are many more things in life which were worst than death.”, She warned. “Now, come on, my brother will be waiting for you.”, She smiled, but her smile didn’t reach her eyes. “Or I will ask him to escort you to the party.”, She added, before leaving the room.

I waited for Alex in the room, trying to calm my heart which was pounding loudly. Immediately I felt my mate getting angry, I wondered who and what was the reason behind it? Until I heard his frustrated voice.

‘Why the hell, you’re calling me again and again?’

‘Did you really marry her?’, I heard the voice of a woman, mixed with the tone of disbelief and plea. Why did she sound heartbroken? And what that was to do with my mate? Because to me, it sounded like she was telling me to tell her that it was not true.

‘What is it to you?’, My mate asked in a cold tone. Did he know that I can hear his conversation and also feel his feelings?

‘Xander, please!’, She begged, her voice breaking. ‘You know it’s you that I love.’

My jaw dropped and my wolf started fuming in anger. She wanted to entangle whoever the woman was on the other side of the call between her teeth and wanted to rip her throat apart.

My mate scoffed at her confession. “You sure have a hell of a way to show that you love me, Mrs. Nicolaus Stone.’, He responded in a menacing tone that made me shocked on my spot.

Mrs. Nicolaus Stone?

That young woman, who married his father?

But why did she marry his father when she was claiming to love my mate? I didn’t want to say anything about that woman’s character but surely, she was a characterless woman and a gold-digger, who was still after some other man even after her marriage and would have married to Nicolaus Stone because he was still the whole sole owner of this empire.

‘You married my father when you promised to marry me. Now, you are claiming your love for me.”

“Xander….”

“Stop it, okay?”, he cut her off. “I’m married to Amber now, and I love her. So better stop calling the husband of other women.”

‘You are lying to me, right? You are doing all this to make me jealous, don’t you?’,

‘Think whatever you want to. I don’t want to explain myself to you.’, Saying this Alex hung up the call. He took a deep breath, calming down his emotions and after a minute, he entered the room. He smiled looking at me but I didn’t return the same.

“Do you love her?”

“WHAT?”, He asked in surprise.

“Don’t act smart, Alex. Who was the girl on the other side of the call and do you love her?”

“Our guests are waiting for us.”

I pressed my mouth into a thin line and glared at him. “Were you in a relationship with her?”, I asked angrily, unable to hide the anger and jealousy in my voice.

Alex frowned at me. “Relationship?”, He asked in surprise. “We were just best friends until she decided to betray me. But I never loved her. In fact, I felt nothing for any woman. She was just my best friend from childhood.”

“So, you really wanted to marry her?”

Alex looked shocked by the question again. He kept mum for a while but thankfully he didn’t lie to me. “Yes, I wanted to marry her because I thought I can spend my life with a friend rather than a stranger.”, He answered, breaking my heart into pieces.

I knew that he could feel my sadness. He walked toward me like a predator while I stayed at my place. He pulled me close to him and held me in place with his intense gaze. “I had a few women and a few men in the past, Amber…”, I gasped and immediately looked away at his words.

Men?

Why men?

And how many women and men exactly? I didn’t want it to bother me but it did. In fact, my heart started feeling extremely heavy, like someone was pounding a hammer against it.

His finger touched my chin and gently turned me so that I was forced to look up at him. “But I felt nothing for anyone. All I wanted to know was whether I was interested in men or women but I found interest in any.”

“Oh”, I opened my mouth like a fish.

“But none of them made my heart feel like this.”, He said, placing my hand on his heart, which was pounding loudly. “Do you understand what that means?”, He asked me.

Something about the way he was looking at me forced me to nod my head in understanding.

His gaze darkened. “Nor that my dick felt like this before.”, He added, rubbing his hardcore against mine, widening my eyes.

“I…I…our guest are waiting for us.”, I reminded him, pushing him a little.

“Damn it!”, He groaned, maintaining a little distance. “Now, come on”, he said, taking my hand in his.

The party was about to come to an end, along with the time when finally Alex and I would consume our marriage. Immediately, I started feeling hot all of the sudden.

‘What’s happening to me?’, I asked my wolf, who was also in pain.

‘Heat.’, My wolf responded, widening my eyes.

‘I have to inform Alex about it.’ But then the pain in her body was making her hard to stand.

“Ms. Potter, Can you please ask Alex to send our room?”, I requested her on which she looked at in worry. “I’m fine. Just send him, okay?”, I said to her again, when I observed that Alex was busy with Liam and Marcus.

“Okay, Amber. Just take care of yourself.”, She said in a concerned tone.

Third Person’s POV

“Is our plan all set?”,

“Yes.”

“Perfect. Either Xander will kick her out finding his wife sleeping with another man or that bitch will leave him on her own, feeling ashamed of herself.”, Saying this a sinister smile appeared on that person’s face.
