Chapter 121: Chapter 121

Alvaro woke up with his body aching. He had slept on his stomach. His lower body felt sore.

He looked around. He remembered he was in the royal family’s rest house. He swallowed, feeling his throat dry.

He was about to get up when he noticed the blanket covering his body. For a moment, his heart felt warm. The vampire was quite thoughtful.

But where was the man now?

Alvaro looked toward the open balcony door. The sky was gray with a golden glow.

Ah, the vampire must have left.

He got up, stepping onto the floor and ignoring the discomfort in his lower body. Then he stood with some effort and grabbed his clothes.

He clicked his tongue when he saw his body covered in kiss marks again.

"Damn..." he muttered softly several times as he struggled to put on his clothes.

He limped toward the door that separated the rooms. He had to wake Sylas, because Sean wasn’t there. He was sure the servant was now frantically searching for Sylas. He chuckled softly, thinking about the chaos they would face when they entered the palace later.

Alvaro walked through the door. Then he froze.

Sylas was hugging Kai in an intimate position and... naked.

They were both naked!

Alvaro cursed himself, quickly turned around, and limped back to close the door again. His heart was pounding.

What had he just seen?

He swallowed repeatedly. Were Sylas and Kai...

Alvaro took a breath as if he couldn’t believe his eyes. Even though they had grown up together, he had never imagined Sylas having sex. The man was always too calm and gentle.

But Sylas needed release, right?

Alvaro exhaled, walked slowly through the door, and chose to wait outside.

He stopped the guards who wanted to knock on the door to wake Sylas.

"But he asked to be woken up before sunrise. We have to get to the palace," said one of the guards.

Alvaro knew. But he didn’t want everyone to see what the prince had been doing.

Inside the room, Sylas finally woke up. His body was warmly embracing Kai’s body.

He was surprised when he saw Kai had opened his eyes. But the slave didn’t dare to move.

"Oh, you’re awake?" Sylas immediately sat up halfway, staring at Kai, who was looking back at him with a red face, still feeling his master’s warm embrace.

Contrary to Alvaro’s assumption, they were still wearing pants under the blanket. Sylas moved carefully.

Last night he wanted to explore Kai’s body slowly and bring them closer before doing anything intimate. For him, it should only happen with full awareness and mutual love.

Sylas looked at the balcony, where the sunlight was getting brighter. He cursed under his breath. He was late.

"Kai, we have to get back to the palace now," said Sylas, grabbing his clothes and putting them on.

Why didn’t the guards wake him?

Kai slid down from the bed and grabbed the shirt Sylas had given him last night.

"Are you okay? Can you go back to the servant quarters?" asked Sylas while dressing.

Kai put on his clothes and nodded. "I-I’m fine, Master..."

Sylas stood silently in front of the young man, making Kai confused.

Sylas looked dissatisfied. Kai looked at him fearfully.

"I think you should start getting used to calling me by my name, Kai," said Sylas.

Kai swallowed, imagining how strange it would feel.

"You know my name, don’t you?" asked Sylas.

Kai looked down and nodded slowly.

Sylas then added, "My name is Sylas Ferreto Cassias. You won’t hear my full name except at the coronation ceremony, but I want you to know it."

Kai was silent. He didn’t expect Sylas to have such a long name.

Sylas... Ferreto... Cassias...

Kai looked down. It was a beautiful name. But could he call him that?

But Sylas insisted, and Kai said it softly.

"Sylas..." said Kai, the name sounding strange on his tongue.

Sylas smiled. He felt a strange vibration in his chest again when he heard the young man say his name.

"You can’t say it outside, but make sure you call me that when it’s just the two of us," said Sylas, making sure Kai wouldn’t get into trouble in the future.

Kai nodded. Then he smiled.

Sylas smiled when he saw the young man looking happy. His main goal of making Kai happy on the night of the festival had been achieved, but who would have thought they would actually step into something new and thrilling?

What would happen next? What Sylas knew for sure was that he now had an even greater obligation to protect Kai, no matter what happened.

Sylas left the room with Kai and saw Alvaro and the guards waiting.

Alvaro looked away for a moment before looking back at Sylas.

Sylas frowned at the knight’s strange gaze. "Are you okay?" he asked, noticing Alvaro seemed normal despite last night’s heated atmosphere.

Alvaro nodded. "Yes, I’m fine. How are you?"

Sylas nodded. "I’m fine. We need to go back to the palace."

Alvaro looked at Kai, then nodded.

The knight’s gaze made Sylas and Kai glance at each other.

After that, they got ready to leave. Paloma looked disappointed because she had prepared breakfast, but it seemed Sylas wouldn’t be staying any longer.

Then Alvaro cursed when he heard Sylas’ plan to bring Vlad’s slaves to the palace.

"Oh, not now, Your Highness," Alvaro complained.

"I already promised Lord Vlad, Alvaro. They will stay in the front area until Vlad picks them up. Besides, they can walk around there. It’s not every day they get to leave Lord Vlad’s house."

Alvaro sighed. "I know you’re being kind to them, but we’re currently undercover and you know what awaits us at the palace. We don’t have time to take care of them!"

"Oh, just help them into the carriage. I’ll ask James to take care of them later," said Sylas, already pulling Kai onto the horse.

Alvaro could only accept and stay silent. He looked at John, still holding a grudge against the old man. Then at Obi, the boy too. They had both seen him naked and it made him uncomfortable.

They finally left the castle and passed through the quiet streets on their way back to the palace. They didn’t want to attract attention, especially since many people had gathered in the capital for the festival.

During the trip, Sylas felt several pairs of eyes watching him. He didn’t see them directly, but he could feel them. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He held Kai tightly and sped up his horse.

Finally, they arrived at the palace. Sylas asked a guard to take Vlad’s slaves to the tourist area.

After that, they continued their journey. But when they passed through the gate, the king’s troops intercepted them.

Captain Visen stood at the front of the line. He bowed respectfully to Sylas.

"What is this?" asked Sylas.

Visen smiled and asked Sylas to calm down. "His Majesty ordered us to take you, Your Highness."

Sylas held the horse’s reins, his eyes flashing with confusion. "What is going on?"

Visen did not answer. "Please come with us."

Not only that, Visen also asked Alvaro and Kai to come along.

Sylas was worried. What would his father do to Kai? He was anxious that Adrien would kill him. His feelings were unsettled. His face immediately turned gloomy. But he followed Visen and walked far ahead, leaving Kai behind. He tried not to show his connection to the young man.

Inside the room, Adrien was sitting in a wheelchair, talking and arguing a little with Elias. When he saw his son enter, he asked Visen and all the guards to leave, leaving Sylas, Alvaro, and Kai alone with him and Elias.

"What’s wrong, Father?" asked Sylas. Impatient, he felt his chest tighten.

Adrien handed a newspaper to Elias and looked at Sylas, then at Alvaro, then at Kai.

Kai looked down. This was the first time he had seen the king, Sylas’s father. He felt his body tremble. The man looked old, but his face was handsome and his jaw firm.

Adrien had heard that Sylas left quietly last night and had not returned until this morning. He heard Sylas had left with a servant, but he remembered Sylas had a relationship with Alvaro, so he just wanted to make sure.

Elias looked at the pale Adrien. In recent days, the king had been experiencing chest pain several times. He insisted on going to the festival to greet the people, but his condition was getting worse. And no one could stop him.

But Elias was worried.

Adrien stared at Sylas for a long time, looking at his disguise. He smiled slightly.

"I’m not stopping you from disguising yourself. But why did you do it if you wanted to spend time with your lover?" asked Adrien.

Sylas swallowed hard. He looked down. He took a breath, but no matter what, he would not let his father touch Kai.

Adrien cut him off and looked at Alvaro. "Take off your clothes," he ordered.

Alvaro looked at Adrien, wide-eyed. "Excuse me?"

Adrien didn’t repeat himself. But Alvaro was clearly confused by the order. After all, he didn’t want to show his body at this moment.

"Father, what are you doing?" asked Sylas.

Adrien remained calm, staring at Alvaro. Check latest chapters at noⅴelfire.net

Alvaro looked down. He couldn’t refuse the king’s order.

Finally, he slowly took off his clothes.

Sylas’s mouth fell open. "Father, you shouldn’t do that."

Alvaro undressed. Everyone stared at him, unblinking. The knight’s toned body was covered in red spots.

Adrien looked at Alvaro, then at Sylas. "You wanted to hide this from me?" he asked.

Sylas was frozen, even more shocked to hear Adrien’s question directed at him.

"Why are you asking me, Father? I have nothing to do with it!"
