Chapter 95: Chapter 95

Aaron Pov's

.

I was dumb-headed with whatever just happened. Ivanna was just talking to me as a friend and was sharing her problem when suddenly I sensed Aana's presence and turned towards her. Aana heard our conversation and by seeing her reaction, I can say she heard only my last conversation. I went behind her but she didn't listen to me and closed the door on my face.

"You broke me, Aaron. You again broke me" she yelled.

"I'm sorry, Aana but at least listen to me," I yelled, knowing the exact reason that upset her. I was telling her to open the door but she didn't respond. Ivanna looked at me, feeling melancholy for me.

"Not again" I turned my head upon hearing Christian's voice.

"You again create the misunderstanding between them" He snarled at Ivanna. She rolled her eyes as it was not something new for her. Well, yeah. Christian always blames her for unnecessary reasons to pick fights with her.

"Think what you want. you're no one to whom I should explain anything" she scoffed. Don't know why suddenly his expression changed as her words upset him but he quickly covered his emotions with an impassive look

"I'm not even asking explanation because I know you always do something which separates Aaron and Aana"

"You"

"Don't start fighting over here" I muttered annoyingly, interrupting their fight. The last thing I want is for my two friends to kill each other.

"I didn't mean to create a misunderstanding between you two, I'm sorry, Aaron" She muttered.

"Misunderstanding?" I squeezed my eyebrow upon hearing her and then recalled everything.

"Ooh.. you're misunderstanding her situation. She was not mad at me for saying those words because she is very well aware of my nature that I don't forget people's mistakes easily" I mumbled and looked at her room side. It's not Ivanna's fault that she misunderstood our bond. My and Aana's relationship is misunderstood by many, for example, Stefan's mom. She was yelling at me in the kitchen for leaving Aana. I understand her concern but that day I wasn't in my sense to think rationally. I wish I could explain to her the reason behind my action but I don't want anyone to see Aana as a culprit or say anything to her. Only I had a right to say anything to her.

Aana asked me what happened between me and Aunt, sensing Aunt loathed towards me but I didn't say anything to her because of two reasons. First, I don't want her to take stress and second I don't want her to tell the truth to Aunt as she loves her a lot. I don't want Aana to lose this amazing bond. I came out of my thoughts when Ivanna kept his hand on my shoulder.

"Then why did she run away from there and yell that you broke her?" she asked confusingly. I chuckled and pointed towards her hand which was on my shoulder.

"Because of this"

"I didn't get it?" She mumbled confusingly and removed her hand.

"She was not mad at me because of some stupid misunderstanding but because you touched me. She hates when you touch me from the day you propose to me and hug me. Well, She has all the right to get mad at me, after all, I'm all her." I shrugged. She was gawking at me in disbelief. My eyes went to the people around me and found the same reaction on everyone's face.

"Are you serious?" She frowned. Before I could answer her, Aana opened the door and glared at me.

"You broke your promise" She yelled and then in another second tears welled up in her eyes.

"I didn't. She was overwhelmed with happiness that we are back to normal. That's why she extended her hand to congratulate me" She stopped whimpering hearing my words and then looked at me narrowing her eyes.

"Congratulations? But your words tell a different story," she muttered looking at me suspiciously. I tightened my lips and put my hands in my pocket which was itching to hold her and kissed her senselessly after seeing her cute expressions.

"she was congratulating me that I forgot you and moved on in my life to which I answered that I didn't forget you." I can see the sadness in her eyes after hearing the truth. I went closer to her and kissed her forehead.

"I didn't forget you but that doesn't mean I don't want to be with you. I want to start everything fresh, for our child. I want our baby to have a happy and healthy family" I mumbled. She smiled and nodded her head.

"I'm sorry for overreacting. You know this pregnancy mood swings. It always makes me overreact." I chuckled upon hearing her cute complaint. I wish I could tell her that her jealous mood is not new to me but if I say this to her then I have to face a volcano.

"Where is my ice cream?" she asked all of a sudden. I was about to answer her when my eyes went on everyone, they all were gawking at us shockingly. I broke the hug and indicated to her to look behind. She turned and her eyes widened, realising the world around her. I chuckled seeing her reaction and encircled my hand around her waist.

"Sorry because of me you all get disturbed" She muttered.

"That's not the issue Aana but this is the first time you're showing emotions" Aunt Jennifer muttered while looking at her dumbstruck. I squeezed my eyebrow not getting what she meant.

"That's all because of him," Aana replied, looking at me, bringing a smile to my face.

"You should sleep now" I mumbled, seeing her sleepy eyes.

"Ice cream," She pouted. Her eyes widened when I started kissing her, finding it a perfect moment. She closed her eyes when I sucked her lower lip.

"I don't think it will be enough for me" I mumbled after giving a small peck on her lips. She opened her beautiful eyes.

"Aaron" She muttered, agitated with a sudden change between us.

"Don't worry... It's not a dream" A smile broke on her lips when I unlocked her fear. She hugged me and closed her eyes. I picked her up in my arms and made her lie on the bed.

"Let me bring a water bottle for you" I muttered looking at the empty bottle. she nodded and left my hand. I went outside to bring a water bottle when Aunt Jennifer blocked my way.

"What happened, Aunt?"

"Two months have passed since Aana is here but I never saw any emotion in her. She never asked anything from us. Eat whatever I make, and do as I ask. Just living this life for giving birth to her child" My smile vanishes upon hearing her. I could feel the pain she went through after losing me and then Alice. I don't want to even imagine seeing her like this.

I know Aunt is not lying because Aana was like this when I met her a second time. I, Rex, Vince, and Alice brought her out of the darkness but not even in my worst nightmare did I think I'd be the one to push her back into the darkness.

"Since the day you came, I started seeing a change in her and you know what the best thing that happened?" She asked. I nodded my head negatively.

"She smiled today, Aaron. I saw her genuine smile for the first time and it's all because of you. Take care of her"

"I will... I promise you to take care of her till my last breath" She kept her hand on my hand and left the kitchen while I was still thinking about her words. I went to her room and sat beside her. She was sleeping, lightly snoring.

I removed the hair from her face and kissed her forehead, feeling lucky to have her. I knew from the start that she loves me but today I realise the profundity of her love for me. I was staring at her when my eyes went to her ring finger in which she was wearing our engagement ring. All the memories of our past revolve in my mind and again the biggest question of our love story came in front of me.

"If she loves me so much then why did she betray me? Why?"
