Aana went towards him and hit on his head before going towards her room. She sat on the bed. That's when her eyes went into the mirror. She was surprised to see a big smile on her face.

"You hardly used to smile before our mate arrived" She heard Alice's voice in her mind.

"You were awake?" Aana asked her.

"Yes"

"Since when and why didn't I realise it?"

"I woke up when you had a nightmare and you didn't realise my presence because you were busy with our mate" Alice yawned and licked her paw.

"How did we end up in his house?" Alice asked curiously. Aana started narrating everything that happened in the police station and how she agreed to come with Aaron.

"Our mate did the right thing by punishing that officer," Alice said happily. Aana didn't reply to her as she was lost in her own thoughts. Aana lies down on the bed while smiling, remembering the moment when Aaron held her in his arms. Her heartbeat rose remembering that moment.

"You start feeling for him," Alice muttered happily. Smile was not ready to leave Aana's lips until her eyes went to her ring finger in which she was bearing her engagement ring in Vince's name. A smile vanished from her lips.

"I don't feel anything for him, Alice. I just offer him my friendship" She muttered and stood up to take her sleeping pills.

After Aana sleeps, Alice takes control of her body and looks at the ring. She removed it and kept that ring in one of the cupboards.

"I'm sorry, Vince but your memories will never let Aana move on and I badly wanted to spend my remaining life with our mate" She mumbled looking at the ring before closing the drawer and then she directly went towards Aaron's room. She remembered when Aaron brought Aana in for the first time to his house. He directly takes her to his room.

Alice was about to knock on the door when Rex opened the door, taking control of Aaron's body.

"I was waiting for" Alice attached her lips to his before he could have completed. He held her waist and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss. She encircles her legs around his waist while he holds her, grabbing her ass. They both were kissing each other passionately, quenching the thirst of three days when they both missed each other more than anything.

"I missed you so much" They both muttered together after breaking the kiss and then chuckled.

"You also hide about being on heat" Rex muffled after settling down on the couch and making her sit on his lap comfortably.

"Did I have any option? As much as I want you, I can't ignore Aana's feelings. She needs time and I know, you also don't want to do anything that might hurt her" She replied with a pout then laughed when Rex started tickling her.

"Rex, what are you doing? R---Rex" she laughed trying her best to get out of his grip but he didn't let her go nor stop tickling her. He laughed with her.

"Pl--Please stop" He stopped when tears rolled from her eyes because of immense happiness.

"Moon goddess... What was that? '' she exclaimed and took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. He smiles and kisses her forehead and then her cheeks. He leaned to kiss her lips and in response, she closed her eyes. He smirked and leaned towards her neck, inhaling her scent.

"Rex" She exclaimed when he started sucking her collarbone and licked the area where he would mark her. She looked at him with dizzy eyes, losing herself in his arms.

"We can't mark her, Rex," Aaron reminded him. Rex nodded his head despite badly wanting to mark Alice and claim her. He groaned when her scent hit his nostrils.

"Only I know how I'm controlling myself from not fucking you hard on this couch." she moaned hearing his words and clutched his hair. He didn't say anything and attached his lips while kissing her passionately.

Alice and Rex both cuddle and spend their time together while Aaron is thinking about everything that happened today and his mind is stuck on the moment when Aana had the panic attack. He thought to ask from Alice but then he knew she wouldn't tell him anything as it was Aana's secret and only she had a right to decide with whom she wanted to share her pain.

Rex lifted Alice in his arms when she slept and took her to the room where Aana was staying. He made her lie on the bed and kissed her forehead before going to his room to have a good sleep.

Aana woke up in the morning with a nightmare. She was breathing heavily as again the monster of her dream scared her soul. She picked a glass of water from the side table to drink the water. That's when her eyes went to her ring finger. Her engagement ring was missing.

"My ring" She stood up from the bed in panic and started for her ring on the bed and then in her entire room. She shattered all the things in her room to find her ring. She threw the blanket and bed sheet out of the room. Tears fell from her eyes.

"How can I be so careless?" she cried and went towards Aaron's room.

"I'm sorry, Aana," Alice mumbled.

"Why are you saying? It's all my fault. I can't even take care of a ring. It was the only thing I had as a sign of my first love, Vince." She sobbed and knocked on his door. The first name that came to her mind was Aaron. She knows only he can help her whenever she is in trouble. Aana herself didn't realise when she started trusting him so much. Aaron lazily opened the door as he slept late but then his eyes shot up after seeing tears in her eyes.

"Aana what happened? Why you're crying"

"Aaron… My engagement ring... I lost it" she cried.

"Ring"

"yes... I want that… It's the only thing that I have of Vince... I don't understand what to do. where to find it"

"Relax, we will find it... it must be in the house only," he muttered and wiped her tears.

"Why I'm getting the feeling that Alice had to do something with it" Rex mumbled while Aaron's eyes widened upon hearing him.
