Aaron was waiting for the result of the solution which his pack doctor prepared with the help of Aaron's blood to neutralise the effect of wolfsbane in blood. He was with Patrick, seated on the chair of his cabin, and that's when he started feeling uneasy.

"Why don't you listen to me? I'm getting a feeling that our mate is not okay" Rex growled at his human who is not ready to listen to him.

"You're saying the same thing from the previous two days, Rex. I talked to her, she went to her parents. What will happen to her over there? Moreover, I'm not passing time here. We are here for our mate. I'm sure, you also want Alice to recover and enjoy her life like a normal wolf" He muttered.

Rex sat down quietly, knowing that his human is not wrong. Even he wants to run, play, and mate with Alice as other wolves do with their fated mate. He wanted to cherish Alice in her wolf form as well. Aaron smiled when Rex finally understood his point.

Aaron looked at Patrick who was waiting for him to finish his conversation with Rex. Patrick continues informing Aaron about the pack. Aaron doesn't want to get involved in the pack's matter. He gave the responsibility to Patrick to handle everything but Patrick never left a chance to make Aaron realise his responsibility towards the pack from which he was running.

"How many times do I have to tell you the same thing, Patrick? I'm not interested in anything related to Pack. This pack reminds me of my dad. He made this pack for Mom but then left this world, leaving me alone. When he doesn't care about me and this pack then why should I care?" Aaron groaned and stood up from the chair to go outside to have some fresh air while Patrick kept staring at his angry Alpha.

"I wish the moon goddess would give you a reason to come back, Aaron. I wish someone will become the reason because of whom you will realise your responsibility" He thought and went towards Aaron who was lost in his thoughts that's when suddenly he felt like Aana called him.

"Pearl"

"Sorry, Alpha" Patrick muttered, not getting what Aaron meant by Pearl. Aaron looks at him and then around.

"I felt like Pearl called me," Aaron muttered and kept his hand on his chest to feel his heartbeat which was beating at a higher speed.

"She is not okay… I need to go" Aaron muttered and morphed into a wolf.

"But Alpha"

"I will contact you later, Patrick" He mindlink him. Rex looked around, only to find everyone getting upset as he was leaving the pack again. Everyone wants Aaron to be their Alpha and stay with them like their former Alpha but Aaron didn't even come to visit the pack after his parents' death and now when he came, he is already leaving.

"I'm sorry for not listening to you, Rex" Aaron mindlink him, feeling guilty for not listening to him.

"Next time, remember this incident before ignoring my gut feeling" Rex snapped at him and ran towards the exit of the pack.

"Please run as fast as you can"

"You don't need to say that" Rex replied, increasing his speed to reach his car. He morphed into a human and gave control to Aaron after reaching his car. It took him an hour. Aaron wore the spare cloth which he kept in his car before leaving his home. He was about to start driving when his phone rang.

"Fuck" He cursed, realising that he didn't take his phone with him to the pack.

"Aana told me that she will call me when she gets time" he mumbled to himself and picked up his phone to check if she called, only to find fifteen missed calls from Christian. He ignored and dial Aana's number but it was switched off.

"Why the fuck her phone is switched off?" He frowned and was about to dial her number again. That's when Christian called him.

"Which volcano erupted that you are calling me continuously" he growled after picking up the call.

"Why you were not picking up my call, asshole" Christian yelled, shutting Aaron's mouth. He realised the situation was more serious than he assumed.

"Aana got arrested," Christian muttered and looked at Aana's side, who was seated at the corner of the prison, hiding her face in her knees. Only she knows how scared she is and that the officer's filthy eyes on her made the situation worse for her. Aana is getting the feeling that he was fucking her with his eyes.

"Aana get what?" Christian came to her senses when Aaron shouted on the other side.

"Rocky filed a harassment case on Aana"

"Harassment case? Has he lost his mind" Aaron growled and started the engine of the car to reach Aana as soon as possible.

"He was waiting for the opportunity when you will get away from Aana and he got it. I tried to talk with the officer but they are not listening to me and the worst part is Aana tried to run away"

"Run away?" Aaron asked shockingly.

"Yes... I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see her running away from the officer." Aaron scrunched his eyebrow upon hearing him, still not able to believe that Aana tried to run away.

"Please come soon, Aaron. only you can handle the situation"

"Stay with, Aana. I will reach there within an hour" Aaron muttered and cut the call.

"Now, I understand why we get the feeling that Aana is not okay," He thought and increased the speed of the car to reach Aana as soon as possible.

Aana raised his head and looked at Christian who was busy talking with someone over call. Her eyes went to the officer whose eyes still lingering over her. She turned her face in another direction.

"Alice" She tried to mindlink her wolf but got no response. She understood that Alice is still unconscious because of the tablets Aana took to control the heat. She touched her left cheek where the officer slapped. It was still hurting.

"You told me that you will not let anyone harm me, Aaron then where are you?" She complained in her mind and rested her head on her knees. She kept her hand on her stomach. She wanted to use the washroom but was afraid to take a step out of prison as that officer was standing outside her prison only.

"Since when did you become a scared kitten? You can beat the shit out of that person who tries to misbehave with you, Aana. Never let your fear overpower your strength" She recalled Vince's words he said to her when she got scared by the thought of Alexander taking revenge.

"I wish you were here, Vince, then I wouldn't have to worry about anything and show this officer his place" She mumbled to herself and looked at her ring finger where she was wearing his name ring. Her stomach started hurting badly with time. She stood up from the ground, knowing that if she didn't use the washroom then she might end up embarrassing her.

"Christian" She called him. He immediately rushed towards her.

"Yeah… What happened?" he asked,

"I need to use the washroom" she muttered, feeling a little embarrassed. He nodded his head and went to a lady officer, requesting her to take her to the washroom. Aana lifted her eyes to see the officer who grinned at her fear. Aana wanted to take his eyes out but controlled herself, knowing that whatever she does only will go against her. A lady officer came and unlocked the door then asked Aana to follow her. She nodded and was about to cross the officer but stopped when that officer came in front of him, blocking her way. He was about to touch her but she moved back.

"Dare you to touch me otherwise I will break your hand," Aana growled, glaring at him.

"Don't use your mouth more than required. You touched a man without their will and told our sir not to touch you. freaking whore" Aana looked at that lady officer shockingly, not expecting to hear something like this.

"Now, I realised why people say this world would be better if a woman starts understanding other women" Aana screeched and went near the lady officer.

"Even if a woman's profession is a prostitute then also the man has no right to have filthy eyes over her without her will" She snapped. Lady officer rolled her eyes.

"Do you want to use the washroom or not? Don't waste my time over here" she frowned.

"I want to" Aana muttered and went with her toward the washroom.

Aana was washing her hands after using the washroom. That's when she felt dizzy. she didn't sleep the last two nights, like Alice, she was also feeling physically weak.

Aana splashed water on her face to keep herself awake. That's when she felt someone's presence behind her. She turned only to find the officer standing behind her. When she was using the washroom, the officer sent the lady officer with the excuse of some work and entered the washroom, waiting for Aana to come outside.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, glaring at him angrily. She was scared after seeing him in the washroom but decided not to show it on his face.

"I was waiting for a moment to find you alone. What were you saying?" he scratched his forehead, pretending to think.

"Yeah... You will break my hand. Do it... I'm eagerly waiting for your touch" he said with an obscene grin.

"it will be better for you to let me go or else you will regret the day when you were born" She snarled and was about to cross him when he held her from the waist. She looks at his hand and then glares at him.

"You" She raised her hand to hit him but he held her hand and pushed her towards the wall. He kept his other hand over her mouth before she could scream. She looked at him, widening her eyes. Tears welled up in her eyes but she controlled her tears, not wanting to break down in front of him.

The officer tried to lean towards her neck. Aana raised her knees and kicked on his main part before his lips would have touched her. He screamed and his grip on her loosened. She took the opportunity and hit his nose with her head then pushed him away. She wiped her tears from the corner of her eyes and ran out of the washroom. Hearing the officer's scream, everyone came there and found her running like a culprit.

"Aah...catch her she's trying to run away again" Officer muttered holding his crotch. Aana ignored everyone and tried to run away, not wanting to stay at this place anymore. She even pushed the lady officer who tried to stop her and was about to run outside the police station when she collided with someone.

"Pearl" She looked up and a tear rolled from her eyes which she was holding for so long.

"Aaron" she hugged him. He didn't waste a second in embracing her in his arms. He felt his heart stop beating for a moment when he saw tears in her eyes.

"Thank god you came" He looked at Christian who was looking at Aana.

"She was again trying to run away from the police station" Christian muttered what the police officer told them. Aana didn't say anything but tightly hugged him, wanting to hide in his protector's arms.

"Pearl" He called her lovingly, looking at her only. He could feel her fear. She was shivering in his arms. She hissed when he accidentally touched her cheeks to remove the hairs from her face.

"Who did this?" He growled, realising his aura. Everyone moved away from him, shivering because of fear. Even Aana could feel his aura. She kept one hand on his chest, making Aaron realise that his aura was affecting her as well.

"Officer hit her when she was trying to run for the first time" Christian muttered.

"How dare he?" He snarled.

"Aaron" she looked up without breaking the hug. He again turned his eyes towards her which became moist seeing the mark on her cheek and there was a slight cut over her lips which was enough to boil his blood.

"He-- He tried to touch me" she sobbed, finally telling the truth. Christian and Aaron's eyes widened upon hearing him.

"I will kill him" He growled loudly making everyone flinch in fear.
