Aana was crying in Aaron's arms letting out the pain of losing her first love. After a while, she started calming down because of the mate bond, his cologne making her mind relax… She was forgetting her pain in his arms. She inhaled his scent before closing her eyes… She was still sobbing but somewhere being with him was like medicine for her pain…

After a while, she slept in his arms and Aaron again started doing his favourite work, looking at his queen sleeping. He wiped her lovingly and pulled her closer... Aana unknowingly sat in his lap while crying. He wanted to make her lay on the bed properly but then stopped with the thought of her sleep getting broken.

"Her sleep shouldn't get broken.. who knows after opening her eyes, she will start crying again." Aaron mind linked his wolf who was pissed at the situation. He was fuming in anger before seeing Aana crying for someone else in their arms. It was hurting both Aaron and Rex but it was something in which they both can't do anything but share her pain.

"She cried a lot" Rex muttered after a while when his anger cooled off. Aaron nodded his head, removing the strand of hair which was coming on her face.

"When I saw her for the second time in our office, I felt her pain... I felt her when she yelled at me for saving her. She gets broken after losing her first love, Vince"

"There is no need to take his name." Rex frowned. Before Aana was taking his name and now his human, it was annoying. Aaron chuckled at Rex's cute jealousy.

"You accept it or not but Vince is a part of her life... The way we can't forget Aana ever in our life in the same way how she can forget the first love of her life"

"What do you mean, Aaron?" Rex asked, unable to understand what his human was up to.

"I don't think we can win her heart, Rex. she loved someone else… It's harsh but we have to accept it. I don't think she will ever fall in love with us. It's like we are only increasing pain in her life. She has faced a lot in her life and what are we doing? Instead of healing her, we are increasing her pain. Because of us her own wolf went against her" Rex didn't reply to him. what would he reply to when he himself agrees with his human at the same time, Aaron all words mean one thing, to give up on their love which is the last thing Rex wanted to do.

"Should we accept her rejection?" Aaron asked his wolf. Only he knows how he uttered those words. Tears brimmed in his eyes which somehow he controlled. He looked at Aana who was sleeping peacefully in his arms. Aaron didn't know that Aana sleeps peacefully only in his arms, otherwise, her nightmares never let her sleep.

"Dare you to do that" Rex growled. "I will reject you human if you dare to accept the rejection." He warned.

Aaron sighed and closed his eyes, resting his body on the headboard of the bed. He was thinking about everything that happened between him and Aana. A smile broke on her lips, remembering the moment when he was close to Aana and the way her heart betrayed Aana only near him.

He was lost in his thoughts not realising how time passed. After a small nap, Aana opened her eyes and it landed on Aaron whose eyes were closed. She didn't even blink her eyes while staring at the person who was holding her tightly in his protective arms. The thought of protection made her remind the incident when Rex killed the warriors who are about to rape Aana. The thought of what would have happened if Aaron didn't come on time made her shiver while sensing her moment Aaron opened his eyes.

"Aana" He called her, making her startled. She abruptly looks at him which results in intense eye contact between them. They kept looking into each other's eyes without saying a word while Alice and Rex were scratching their fur feeling bored seeing their 90s romance.

"Would you now kiss her/him?" Rex and Alice asked together with their humans which broke their lovable eye contact. Aana turns her face in another direction... They both were not saying anything but could hear each other's heartbeat which was beating at a higher speed.

"Would you say something?" Rex frowned seeing Aaron silently staring at their mate.

"Are you okay?" Aaron asked, breaking the silence. Aana turned her head in his direction, unaware of the fact that his face was in her direction. Their noses touch each other. Her eyes widened with sudden closeness and then she closed them feeling shy. A big smile appeared on his face after seeing his effect on her. His eyes went to her lips which were looking so inevitable to him. The thought of kissing her and this closeness was enough for him to become hard.

She opened her eyes shockingly when she felt his not-so-little boner poking her buttock. Alice started howling in Aana's mind seeing their effect on Aaron whose eyes were still on their lips.

"He wanted to kiss us then for what you're waiting for? Kiss him idiot" Alice said excitedly, wanting to feel his lips. It would be a lie if Aana said that their closeness wasn't affecting her. She closed her thighs to control the unknown sensation and heat that she was feeling down there.

"Aaron" She moaned when he brushed his nose with her. He was about to lean more closer when Aana stopped him, keeping both her hands on his chest. She was about to move back but his hand on her waist restrained her. That's when she realised their position. She was seated in his lap and their faces were close, his hardness was poking her buttock... Everything was so intense and hot that he made her cheeks turn red.

Aaron cursed himself in his mind, feeling his boner getting bigger than before seeing Aana blushing and her red cheeks. He couldn't help himself from imagining her face when he would be inside her and she was moaning his name shamelessly.

"Fuck... stop imagining those things otherwise I would take control and if I did then it would not take me long to turn your imagination into reality" Rex growled feeling frustrated at his human behaviour who is not taking any initiation while Aaron's eyes widened hearing his threat.

"No" He yelled, making Aana jump in his lap in fear which made her hips move a little over his crotch which was enough to get his breath hitched.

"Fuck... Would you stop moving?" He yelled.

"What is wrong with you?" Aana asked.

"You're asking me what is wrong with me?" Aaron asked, raising his one eyebrow.

"Yes... Why are you shouting at me for no reason?" she asked.

"You only tell me what I should do when you're swinging your hips despite knowing that I'm hard for you." He uttered the truth without thinking much. In the next second, his eyes widened realising what he uttered because of sexual tension. He looks at her only to find her glaring at him angrily.
