Aana was going towards her home when she felt someone's presence behind her. She tightened her grip on the files in her hand because of nervousness and increased her speed.

"Why do you get scared when I'm with you?" Alice said while scratching her head. Aana didn't reply, instead, she started running towards home. She ran for a while then stopped when a man came in front of him wearing a hoodie and mask. Before she would have shouted that person removes his mask. Her eyes widened seeing that person.

"Christian"

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare you" He apologised. Aana took a deep breath and then glared at him angrily.

"Boss ordered me to follow you until you reach your home safely" He replied meekly, moving his hand in his hair.

"Bo---Boss" She stuttered and took a few steps back in fear.

"Yeah... Aaron Smith" Aana took a deep breath hearing his name which she herself didn't know since when she was holding it.

"Why are you scaring me?" Aana screeched and crossed him without waiting for his reply. Christian again ran behind her.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare you"

"But you did," Aana yelled and looked at him with teary eyes. "You did Christian…. for a second I thought" She clamped up realising she was going to utter about his biggest enemy.

"Tell your boss that I don't need any protection and stop following me" She growled and went towards her home.

"I never saw you this angry, Aana. Are you okay?"

"I'm not... I'm not okay Alice" Aana muttered. Instead of going home, she went to the park which is near her building. She went to one of the corners of the park and sat with the support of a tree.

"Aana" Alice whimpered, feeling the sadness of her human. Aana was calm from the outside but from inside she was crying.

"I wanted to forget everything, Alice... I want to forget everything" Aana muttered and hugged herself, resting her head on her knees. "You wanted to know about my past right?"

"Only if you're comfortable," Alice muttered.

"You have a right to know everything about me and our family. Above that, I wanted to share everything with you, Alice. I can't hold everything by myself now. I wanted to share about my past with you"

"Say," Alice mumbled.

"Everything was perfect in my life, Full of happiness, excitement, and fearlessness. Everything was good. I had the world's best parents who treated me like a princess. I was the only child of my parents, you can guess how spoiled I was. They always fulfil all my wishes even before asking. They never let me shed a single tear from my eyes and the members of my pack loved me like I'm their daughter. All pack members used to call me princess. Along with this, I'm blessed with a best friend, my childhood friend, my soulmate, Vince who later became my everything." Aana said with a big smile on her face remembering beautiful moments of her past.

"Okay… So Vince was with you from childhood" Alice asked to confirm. Aana nodded her head.

"Aaron said you and him met before my arrival also, when and how did that happen?" Alice asked the question that she wanted to know from the moment Aaron said to Alice that he loved Aana from the very first moment they met.

"A day after my 15th birthday, I met our mate for the first time... He was driving harshly when I came in front of his car... Thankfully he applied break on time" Aana chuckled remembering that moment and started narrating to her the whole story of their first meeting.

"Was he so cute and hot before too?" Alice asked.

"yep, he was… I won't lie, that day only I felt something for him. The way he smiled and cared for me, made my heart skip a beat for him. He made me feel so special. I can't even explain. All I can say is I can't forget my first meeting with Aaron" Aana said everything in flow, not realising that she is confessing her feelings for Aaron.

"Really?" Alice's eyes twinkle hearing her human saying that she felt for their mate at some point of time.

"Yeah... He was my first crush" Aana mumbled while biting her lower lip and blushed a little, remembering that moment.

"Then what changed Aana? how your feelings changed and how Vince entered in between?" Alice asked, feeling sad that her human feeling has changed.

"He never came in between, Alice. it was Aaron who came between us and thankfully he did because he was the reason because of whom, my and Vince's love story started" Aana said with a big smile on her face.

"What?" Alice almost yelled in her mind.

"Aah... Why are you yelling?" Aana whined holding her head.

"Aaron is the one because of whom your love story started?" Alice asked in shock. Aana nodded her head meekly.

"I can't believe this... Our mate is the biggest enemy in our love story" Alice mumbled, wanting to hit his head on an imaginary wall.

"No.. he was an angel in my and Vince's love story" Aana said. Alice was fuming in anger but controlled her emotion to hear how this magic happened.

"How?" Alice asked. Aana was about to reply but stopped when her nose hit his mate's smell. She turned her head and found Aaron standing at a little distance with the support of his car. For a minute, she forgot everything and kept staring at his handsome face. Aaron smiled and started walking towards her. Aana was calm unlike always, not for a second she moved her eyes from him until he came and sat beside her.

"I know, I'm good-looking," Aaron smirked. She widened her eyes realising that she was staring at him openly and then closed them because of embarrassment. Aaron would lie if he says that this cute act of Aana didn't flatter his heart… He loves Aana's eyes most which are like pure water, transparent: showing what is going on inside her... Aaron always reads and understands Aana's emotions by looking into her eyes which says everything despite her being silent.

Aana opened her eyes and looked at him then again rested her head on her knees and closed her eyes. He followed her steps and rested his head on his knees while his face was on her side, staring at his beautiful mate.

"She is looking breathtaking" Aaron nodded his head agreeing with his wolf, Rex who was looking at Aana with twinkling eyes. When Aaron didn't say anything for a minute, Aana opened her eyes and looked at him..

He remembers his first time meeting her when her eyes were closed because of fear and then she opened them to look at him. A smile broke on his lips and seeing his smile, she also started smiling.

"Are you falling in love with our rejected mate, Aana?" Alice teased her human who was busy looking into their mate's eyes.

"Anti-Depressant tablets make my brain numb to think or do anything properly," Aana replied to her. Alice knew her human is not lying because of those tablets only, Aana was sharing about her past until Aaron come but at the same time, Alice knew her human is denying the fact that she is staring at their mate, lovingly and with every minute they are spending with Aaron and Rex, increasing their feeling for their mate.

"I love you" Aana's smile vanished when Rex took control of his body and confessed his feelings out of nowhere. Aana felt for Aaron or not but one thing was sure she was not ready for any relationship. Aana was about to stand up when Rex held her hand and pulled her, making her sit on his lap.

Aana was looking at Rex widening her eyes while Alice and Aaron were waiting for the storm which came after a silence.
