"It's midnight, Aana... let's go and eat something" Alice muttered when I finally stopped crying.

"I'm not starving," I mumbled and hid my face in a blanket. The whole day I spent in my room, not going out even for a minute. Aaron approached me many times and knocked on the door but all the time, I pushed him away, wanting to stay alone.

"At least, eat something for our pup," She said, putting some sense into my mind. I immediately sat straight and touched my stomach. In everything, I forget now I'm carrying a life inside me and I have to take care of him.

I went downstairs and ate the food made by Aaron. I hope he had done his dinner. I checked another room to ask him but he was not there. Don't know where he went. Because of everything, my and Aaron's relationship is getting affected.

After having dinner, I went directly inside my room and picked up my phone to call him, only to find twenty-five missed calls from Ryan with a lot of messages.

"Where are you?"

"I'm sorry... I was stuck with my client and when I got free, it slipped from my mind that we were about to meet. I'm sorry"

There were many messages from him apologising to me.

"It means your mother didn't know about the meeting. If she knew then would have come" Alice muttered in a happy tone.

"He is lying to keep my heart," I replied and was about to keep my mobile when my phone rang and it was no one but my beta.

"If you call me to lie that you forgot about the meeting then let me tell you, I won't come into your words. I know pack members will never let Mother"

"Doll" I clamped up when I heard the other person's voice.

"Mom" Tears rolled from my eyes upon hearing him.

"I'm sorry, doll. I didn't know that you wanted to meet me, otherwise, I would have reached that place before you" I kept my hand on my mouth to control my sobs.

"Hello... Are you there?"

"Mom." I heard her sobs indicating to me that she is crying as I'm.

"I miss you"

"I miss you too, my princess" We both were crying over the call, missing each other.

"How are you?" she asked, after a while.

"I'm good and you"

"Me too"

"I want to tell you something, Mom"

"Yeah.. say"

"Not like this… I want to see your reaction when I will give you the news" I said.

"Fine, then let's meet tomorrow at XYZ cafe."

"You will come?" I asked, feeling scared that like today, she will not come tomorrow also.

"Why will I not? If my daughter called me then I would come. '' Tears streamed down from my eyes.

"Fine then meet me at eight o'clock in the morning"

"8 o'clock?"

"Yes. I decided, tomorrow you will spend your entire day with me"

"As my princess commanded," We both laughed.

"Okay.. now you should go to sleep. It's already late"

"Good night," I wiped my tears and turned, only to find myself standing at the door.

"When did he come?" I thought.

"A few seconds before" Alice replied. I kept my phone on the side table and went towards him.

"Where were you?"

"Asking as if you care" He scoffed.

"I do, Aaron"

"Yeah that's why you're talking to someone else instead of calling me"

"Are you getting jealous?" I chuckled and pulled his cheek. He looks so cute when he gets jealous.

"Don't worry... No one can take your place in my life" I replied and kissed his left cheek.

"After pushing me away... You're showing love, Aana" My smile vanished when he called me Aana instead of Pearl.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked.

"no... I'm frustrated with the change in your behaviour. The whole day you ghosted me and now you're showing love" he snarled and crossed me to take out his clothes from the wardrobe. Before I could have said something to him, he went inside the washroom.

"What happened to him?"

"He must be upset as we have been ignoring him for the past few days. Don't worry when he will come out, we will talk to him and sort this out" Alice cheered me up. I nod my head and lay down on the bed, feeling exhausted after crying so much. I was waiting for him but my eyelids were getting heavy with each passing second.

"Come soon... Aaron"

I opened my eyes with the alarm, I set my phone to wake up on time to meet Mom. I sat straight and looked around, only to realise that I slept while waiting for Aaron. My eyes went to the clock.

"Shoot… I'm running late." I muttered and rushed to get ready. It took me almost an hour to get ready as I washed my hair as well.

"After a long time, I'm going to meet you" I muttered, looking at my mirror image.

"going somewhere" I turned and found Aaron standing at the door.

"Yeah. I will be late. So don't wait for me" I said and picked up my car key.

"Aana" He came in front of me. "What happened to you? Why are you ignoring me and Rex?"

"Aaron" I hold his hand in mine "I want some time then I will tell you everything."

"Time?"

"yeah... After two days, we decided to mark each other. Right?" he nodded his head. "Then please give me time. We will mark each other on your birthday or say on our wedding day in the human world."

"How do you know about wedding things? It was a surprise"

"Christian told me to choose a wedding gown from a few options. At that point, I found something suspicious and when I started to interrogate him and then finally I got to know that you're planning to marry me on your birthday as per human world" He nodded his head.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah"

"Don't mind me but why did you start using perfume?" I left his hand and turned my head in another direction, not wanting to look into his eyes while lying.

"Be--Because I like this perfume" I stuttered.

"Because of your stupid surprise... I'm lying to him" I curse Alice and look at Aaron.

"sorry but I have to go somewhere. We will talk tomorrow" I muttered and went outside before he would've asked something.

"Careful. Don't forget you're pregnant in excitement" Alice chuckled seeing my excitement to meet my mother. I cursed and slowed down my steps.

It took me an hour to reach the destination and unlike last time, my mother was already present there, waiting for me.

At first, we both cried, hugging each other and then we both smiled seeing the change in both of us in the past five years. I didn't leave her hand for a second. Then the time came when I told her that she was getting a promotion in life. There would be someone to call her grandma and as I expected her reaction was priceless. She was so happy like me. I even shared that I'm going to marry Aaron after three days. I didn't even realise how time passed.

"You loved him a lot and I can bet that he loves you more than you do based on what you told me about him" My smile grew wider upon hearing her. She is indeed right, Aaron loves me more than I love her and maybe that's the reason why we are together. I rejected him after only a few meetings but he never gave up on me and Alice. She is right. I'm lucky to have him in my life.

Mom told me what to do and what precautions I have to take during this pregnancy. She also suggested that I get a proper test in the hospital and the moment she said this, Ryan booked my appointment with a gynaecologist for tomorrow. I thought of rejecting this idea as I want to visit a doctor with Aaron but then dropped the idea because he told me that there is a lack of gynaecologists in werewolf hospitals in the human world, so it's hard to get an appointment easily. If I don't go tomorrow then I will have to wait for a week.

After spending the whole day with Mom, I returned home. I went to the hall, but this time Aaron was not there.

"He is mad at us, that's why he didn't wait for us," I mumbled. I look at the time on my wristwatch, only a few minutes left till midnight. I sighed and went towards our room, only to find Aaron sleeping on the bed.

"He hasn't slept for a minute in the past few days. Maybe that's why he slept" Alice muttered.

"Yeah... Maybe he fell asleep like we slept yesterday while waiting for him" I replied and took out my night suit from the wardrobe then went to take a shower with slow and steady steps, not wanting to disturb his sleep. After taking a shower, I lay beside him and kissed his cheek.

"I can't wait to tell you about our pup, Aaron." I thought and rested my head on his chest. He circled his hand around my waist, taking me into his embrace like he always does. I looked up and found him sleeping.

"He takes care of us even when he is sleeping" I nod my head, agreeing with Alice. I was staring at him lovingly until darkness consumed me.

"You will regret every single second of your life for slapping me" I opened my eyes and sat straight breathing heavily. I heard Alexander's voice in my dream.

"Aana" I looked at my side and found Aaron sitting beside me. It didn't take me to understand I had a nightmare about my past. He pulled me into a hug.

"You had a nightmare?" he asked. I didn't reply and hid my face in his chest, breathing heavily. I was trying my best to distract myself but nothing was working. Alexander's words were roaming in my mind.

"He will be back, Aana" I remember Vince's warning. Tears fell from my eyes.

"Pearl... Please calm down… Please "I heard Aaron's panicked voice. He made me look into his eyes and like always he did some magic to calm me. It took time but I calmed down after a while.

"How are you feeling now?" he asked, passing me the glass of water.

"I'm fine" I muttered, thinking about Vince's warning and this dream.

"You again had the same nightmare?" Aaron enquired. I look at him before nodding my head.

"It's okay... You don't need to worry when I'm with you" he kissed my forehead and pulled me into a hug.

"I was scared for our pup when you had a panic attack." Alice mindlink me.

"I know you're there to protect our pup" I caressed my stomach lovingly. He broke the hug and kissed my forehead.

"Everything is fine" He lovingly moved his hand on my back to soothe me. I nodded my head and passed him a smile.

"Do you want something?" he asked. I nod my head.

"You" He smiled upon hearing me and pulled me into his lap.

"I'm all yours, madam," He muttered, bringing a smile to my face.

"I don't know why I'm getting feeling like something bad is going to happen. This silence is an indication of a storm "I thought.

"You're overthinking, Aana... Nothing bad is going to happen." She cheered me on. I looked at my mate who was staring at me lovingly.

"If you're with me then I can fight with every storm" I mumbled.

"Huh?" He squeezed his eyebrow not getting what I mean.

"Nothing" I mumbled.

"Tomorrow we are going to mark each other" He muttered with a big smile on his face.

"Then our bond will be complete," I replied. He leaned towards my lips to kiss me. That's when my phone rang.

"Ryan" He read the name on the display of my phone. I parted away from him and picked up his call.

"Are you coming today?" Ryan asked as soon as I picked up his call.

"Where are you going?" Aaron asked. I tightened my lips, realising he can hear our conversation because of his super hearing power.

"Yeah… I will be there in an hour." I replied and cut the call without waiting for Ryan to respond.

"I have to get ready," I muttered to Aaron and stood up from bed.

"You didn't answer... where are you going?" He asked again.

"I have some important personal work," I mumbled in a low tone, not knowing how he would react. I don't want to lie to him and at the same time, I can't tell him the truth as Alice wants to surprise him…

"Ohh god… what situation did you get me into, Alice.?" I cursed her in mind and went to the washroom, not looking at Aaron for once because I know if I see his sad face then I would end up telling him everything.

Thankfully when I came out after taking a bath, Aaron was not in the room. I quickly got ready and was about to leave the room. That's when Aaron entered with a tray of food.

"At least, have breakfast before going," he said with a mild smile. I nodded my head and sat on the bed.

"I was about to come down, why did you bring breakfast into the room?"

"Who knows if you have left without telling me like the last few days?" He said with a sneering smile.

"I'm sorry" He didn't say anything and served me. We both had our breakfast silently.

"Talk to him" Alice suggested through mindlink.

"Not right now... I'm not feeling good"

"huh?"

"Something is bed going to happen"

"You again started overthinking" Alice growled. I sighed and looked at Aaron whose eyes were on me.

"Do you want to talk?" he asked. I nod my head.

"You will never leave me. Right?" I asked.

"What kind of question is this? Of course, I will never leave you" he held my hand in his hand.

"I don't know why I'm getting an ominous feeling."

"You are overthinking... We are going to mark each other tomorrow… Everything will be fine. Don't worry" I nod my head and finish my breakfast. He stood up from bed and kissed my forehead before pickup plates. He was about to go when I held his hand.

"You will never leave me, right?" I asked.

"I will not," he smiled. I nodded my head and went to the hospital after bidding goodbye to him. Thankfully, I reached there on time. The next appointment with the gynaecologist was mine only. After the checkup, the doctor told me that everything is fine. My baby and I are both healthy. Ryan gave this news to Mom as well as she was worried for me.

"Now I'm just waiting to give this news to Aaron" I muttered to Alice and touched my stomach. I was going back home. That's when my eyes went to the Villain of my life. My whole world stopped seeing him in front of my eyes.

"Alexander" I whispered his name while Alice's eyes widened upon hearing this name from my mouth.

"He is Alexander?" she asked to confirm. I nodded my head and looked around to hide but it was late. His eyes already caught mine.

"Aana" He called my name which was enough to send shivers to my core. Now I realise why from the morning I'm getting the feeling that something worse is going to happen. It was all a silence from the storm and that storm's name is 'Alexander'.
