"Would you open your mouth? Why were you called Christian that day?" I growled at Aaron.

"This is wrong, Pearl… You're scaring me" He said and started looking everywhere but me.

"Aaron... I have only a little patience left after your sperm turns into pups in my womb… So speak up" He gawks at me at the choice of my words.

"my sperm turn into pups" he muttered still trying to accommodate the words I choose. Well, it was not his fault when I was shocked that I used those words.

"Why are you reacting like this? I---I just state a scientific fact" I said.

"Yeah... right" He chuckled and hit my forehead slightly.

"You will make both of us crazy" I laughed with him but then became serious remembering the topic we were discussing.

"I'm waiting for an answer, Aaron"

"First, I didn't lie to you… Okay... I just didn't clear your misconception" He said.

"Wow... What a great job you did?" I scoffed. He sighed and took my hand in his hand.

"I was calling Christian to clarify him and talk to him because I was worried for him after Ivanna propose to me in front of his eyes"

"So my guess was right that he likes Ivanna but then why didn't you tell me? Since when he likes her and if he does then why did he always pick a fight with her instead of confessing his love to her?" I asked one question after another while he stayed quiet instead of answering.

"You're not going to tell me anything, right?" I asked. He nodded his head negatively.

"I'm sorry… As a best friend, I must keep his secret to myself." I nod my head. "please don't get upset" he mumbled and kissed my knuckles.

"I'm not upset but worried."

"Worried?" I nod my head.

"I'm worried about Christian, Stefan and Ivanna. Don't know what is written in their destiny"

"you will get to know when the author will write her story." I nodded my head and touched my belly when one of my pups kicked.

"What happened?"

"Aah," I yelped in pain when he again kicked me. how do I know that it is he, not she because whenever my girl kicks, she kicks it smoothly but my baby boy is a boxer. It's my mother's instinct but only the future will tell who would be stronger.

"What happened, Pearl? Are you okay?" Aaron panicked seeing me in slight pain. I hold his hand and nod my head.

"Don't worry, I'm fine… It's just one of our pups kicked"

"Ooh," he took a relief breath and then caressed my belly.

"You both scared me," he mumbled and kissed my stomach. I smiled and looked outside the window. He parked his car outside the dense forest.

"Why are we here?" I asked.

"Ohh… It's a wild forest and in human language" Before he could complete, I put my finger on his lips.

"I don't want to know the forest but the reason for which we are here" I muttered.

"Aren't you getting rude to me?" He frowned, making me realise my behaviour towards him. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what is happening to me... It's just that everything is annoying me. This travelling, these clothes, seating for so long... Everything is annoying me and unintentionally, I let out all my frustration on you. I'm sorry." A tear rolled from my eyes...

"Hey… Please don't cry... Shout at me, behave rudely and even hit me. I won't say a word to you but please don't cry… Please" He lovingly wiped my tears.

"If you cry then I will start wriggling like a baby," he said in a baby tone making me chuckle.

"I won't cry"

"Good" He kissed my forehead and then pecked my lips.

"From here, you have to sit on my back because the pack is in the middle of the forest" I subconsciously touched my stomach after hearing him.

"Have you lost your mind? no… I'm not going to sit on your wolf" I immediately regretted uttering those words, realising it must have hurt Rex.

"I'm sorry, Red. I didn't mean to hurt you. It's just I'm scared... scared of what would happen if I fall?" I muttered anxiously. Aaron held my hand.

"I can understand your fear, Aana but this is the only way from which we can enter a wild pack and don't worry, Rex and I will be careful and walk slowly. we both will not let anything happen to you and our pups" He said and kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself then opened my eyes only to find his eyes over me. He smiled and tightened his grip on my hand, assuring me that everything will be fine.

"Believe me... I will not let anything happen to you and our babies" I nod my head.

"I believe you, Aaron... I believe you both more than myself"

"Then let's go" I nodded my head and hopped down from the car. He passed me a handbag. I look at him confusingly.

"It has all the necessary things that you might require while travelling like food, water, extra pair of cloth, a hot water bag and your medicine. The list is long" I was amazed at the way he took care of my things and me.

"you remember them"

"How can I forget about your needs?" he shrugged. A smile came to my lips.

"Thank you moon goddess for sending this man into my life. I forgive you for not saving me from Alexander because if you did then I wouldn't have met with Aaron" A tear rolled from my eyes remembering those horrifying moments of my life. I quickly wiped my tears before Aaron would have noticed it. He gave control to Rex who morphed into a wolf.

Rex growled and crouched on the ground. I nodded my head understanding his gesture and was about to sit on his back when he took it back from my hand and held it in his mouth.

"I can carry it" I mumbled and waited for his response but he didn't say anything. I sat on his back and held his fur.

"Hold it tightly" My eyes widened when I heard Aaron's voice in my mind. How can he mindlink me when he didn't mark me?

"Aaron" Before I could ask anything, Rex stood up from the ground. I immediately hold his fur tightly in fear of falling. My heart was beating at a higher speed.

"Calm down, Mate" I again heard Aaron's voice in my mind.

"How can you mindlink me?" I asked.

"I can mindlink whomever I want. I'm blessed with this power" he replied. Rex started moving at a slower speed. After a while, my fear subsided and I started recalling what happened before.

"How are you blessed with this power? I mean this power is with the werewolf king and queen only. Right?" I waited for him to reply but no word came.

"Wow... Like always you won't share a detail about Rex" I frowned.

"Rex" He stopped and tried to turn his head towards me.

"Are you still angry with me?" He didn't respond and resumed the walk which was a clear indication to me that the answer to my question is yes… He is still mad at me for losing Alice, blaming me for her death.

"I want to use the washroom" I mumbled, feeling embarrassed as it was the fifth time in one and a half hours that I was stopping him to go to the washroom. I hopped down from him when he crouched on the ground.

I found Rex in the same position when I came back. I smiled and moved closer to him then moved my hand over his fur lovingly. Tears rolled from my eyes remembering the moment when he gave me a ride on his back for the first time.

"I'm sorry... I am also going through the same pain you are going through… If you lose your love, Alice then I lost my part, Rex." I whimper as more tears fall from my eyes.

"Please Rex talk to me... I can't handle your bitterness… You know I love you in the same way as I love Aaron. You matter" Before I could complete he moved back and morphed into a human.

"Rex" Before I could have said something to him, he crossed me.

"Don't follow me and stay here. I will come back in a while" he muttered before leaving me alone. Tears were continuously falling from my eyes, realising the meaning of his silence. I sat on the ground and touched my stomach.

"He is only with me because of you two. No matter what Aaron says about moving on but I know he still didn't forget me and thinks that I cheated on him" I felt a kick in my stomach, making me realise that my pups are hearing me.

"don't worry... Your father loves you a lot and our differences will never affect you both." I muttered and again felt a kick of my both pups like they were understanding my point. I sat on the ground with the support of a tree and took out something to eat, feeling starving.

It's been almost an hour since Rex went away. I was waiting for him to come back, feeling worried for him. That's when I heard a voice coming from the brushes. I stood up and hid behind the tree but whom am I fooling? It's werewolf territory. They can smell me. I was thinking of the way to call Aaron. That's when I saw a lion in front of me and by looking at him, I can bet he is not here for welcoming me but to eat me alive for entering his territory.
