The police did not find anything the previous day and we're going to continue their search of cars that day

Very early that morning, Jason set out to the prison where Rodney was serving term

He had been there for about Two years and out of the twenty five years he was given, he was going to be out on parole in the next three years for good behaviour.

He had masterminded that because once he had been convicted, there was nothing his wife could do except for him to follow the advice of his lawyer to act well so that he would be paroled.

The prison Warden came to tell him that he had a visitor.

' Male or female?'

'Male. What would you want to do with a female in your state?'

He wanted to give him a punch on the mouth. Must he have any lascivious intentions towards any female that came to visit him? Couldn't his wife visit? Though not surprising, his wife seemed to have abandoned him. She was already paying him back in kind by having male companions when he was free since revealing her true colours to him so now that she had ample excuse not to be faithful, she would do as she liked with no inhibitions. He knew that he had made a mess of his life and chances but of he could succeed in this parole, he was going to bounce back with a vengeance. All these went through his head as he followed the prison Warden to the visiting arena to see his visitor and was shocked to find that it was Campbell.

'Well, well, well. If it isn't the man of the decade. To what do I owe this august visit or have I done something commendable that the honourable Campbell should deem it fit to visit me in this hell hole?'

'How are you doing too? You are not looking bad considering where you are'.

'Well, it's all thanks to your generosity and shrewdness that I am holed up here rather in my house'.

'I do not have time for chatting. I am here to ask you to tell me where you have kept my daughter!'

'Your daughter? Nancy must really be given an award for the most prolific reproducer of the millennium. You mean that in less than two years that I have been holed up here, she had got pregnant for you and given you a daughter? Lucky you

Very soon the whole place will be swarming with children'.

'I am talking about the daughter we were blessed with a few months after your imprisonment'.

'Oh, that pregnancy? You were not very clear at first. Now I understand clearly.

You do not really mean your own daughter surely though you may have given her your name

You actually meant to say ' My Daughter', he emphasized.

'Where have you kept her. Do something good for once in your life and provide me with my daughter. Isn't it heartless of you to take such a young child away from her mother? How do you suppose she will develop well under the stress you are putting her through? You claim that she is your daughter, and you are able to do this to her? And what about the woman you claim to care for? Has Nancy not gone through enough already from you? Couldn't you allow her have a little peace for a change?' Jason asked bewildered. 'You must have had other lovers before and after her, why do you insist in doing her so much injury and injustice?

'How do you suppose that while here in prison, I came to your house and took your daughter away?'

'Oh, there are many ways you could have done it . One of which is to ask one or more of your goons to keep surveillance on the mansion and at the first opportunity to abduct the little girl. You are going to come out on parole soon, out do not want to do anything that will make your parole to be revoked and you are asked to stay longer, do you? Because I can assure you that I will do everything in my power to ensure that you remain here if I do not find my daughter. Call your goons and ask them to return my child to me or you tell me where to find her. She must not be harmed in any way or I shall see to it that you die in this imprisonment of yours'.

Rodney was amazed that he was so we'll informed and if anything, he didn't want his parole to be extended nor revoked.

'You really marvel me Campbell. You swore to protect a woman with your life

After you took her away from me and she carrying my child too. You promised that she was going to be safe in your care and I must admit, I had confidence that you would come through with your promise but no, you allowed a little girl to be kidnapped right under your nose and instead of taking responsibility for your laxity, you come here to blame it all on me!' he said feigning fury.

If Campbell hadn't known the kind of person, Richmond was, he would have been confused and believed that he had nothing to do with Josephine's abduction but he knew Richmond so well. Possibly more that he even knew himself and knew he was putting on an act.

The Warden came towards them to ask them to start rounding off their discussions. 'You have just five minutes more', he said to them and though they heard, they did not act as though they did. They were too absorbed in their discussion.

'You threatened Nancy in court that last day as you were taken away that you will never allow her have joy and that you were going to take her child from her, didn't you? Do, stop this useless act because it is lost to me. If I do not find my daughter in the next twenty four hours, you are dead meat'.

'Campbell, please go and look for my daughter because if I get out of here and hear that my daughter has still not been found, then I promise you, you will be the dead meat'. How dare you hold a word spoken in rage that has cooled since I've had more time to do nothing else but contemplate my actions here in prison against me? Look for my daughter or I shall tell you that she has my blood and not yours flowing in her veins!' Rodney said in anger and stood up just as the warden was coming to tell them that their session was over.

As he was being led back to his cell, he stifled a smile, hoping that his acting was worthy of a Grammy. He secretly commended Mattias for a job well done. He had thought that it might not be possible but it was already a success. Let Campbell prove that he was responsible for the abduction' of his daughter while serving time here in prison!
