Chapter 129: Chapter 129

Rodney drove into the house that he had prepared for an emergency occasion such as this one.

Nancy was still struggling but feeling whimsy and trying not to throw up had taken its toil on her that as soon as he got her out of the car, and the cool night air touched her, she threw up. Heaving painfully.

It weakened her. Rodney dragged her into the house. If she were asked to describe the way to this out of the way house, Nancy would not have been able to do that because she had not been concentrating on that. She had seen Jason's car behind them and had nursed the hope that he would catch up with them but Rodney had lost him and switched the cars and she had not seen Jason anymore. That was when she felt her hope dash I to tiny pieces.

She would have attacked Rodney but someone had been in the car waiting for them as the switch was made and that was why it had been swift before Jason could get there and this person, who she supposed must be one of his goons had held a gun to her all the way and she could do nothing for fear of being shot.

She cursed Rodney bur he only laughed.

'Your lover cannot rescue you now. You are at my Mercy and you'd better do as you are told or you will never see the light of day anymore'.

'And your baby? If you kill me, how will the baby you seem to have developed a sudden interest for survive?'

'I do not care for it. It is just a means to an end and so is not indispensable'.

Nancy felt all the more nauseous. She was disgusted and repulsed with such a man as Rodney. How could she ever have loved him? She must have been blind not to have seen his true colours.

She knew that there was no use arguing with him so she decided to preserve her strength for whatever ordeal he had prepared ahead for her.

When they got to the house, she could not stop herself from being sick and afterwards, she lay down pretending to sleep but she just could not sleep. She was too tensed for that.

His goon had left them when they got to the house and Nancy prayed that Rodney was not planning on taking advantage of her because she could not put it pass him.

Rodney looked at her for a long time. He had liked her best of all his mistresses. If he had not been married, he would have considered marrying her but then again maybe not because she had just been a poor student and he had always wanted someone who was already established so that he would not have to do much but act on the person's already existing wealth.

Starting from the scratch and making it on his own had not been his principle. Climbing on others to attain unbeatable heights had been his driving force in life.

But he was determined to have her. His wife had mocked him for letting Nancy go when she already knew of her existence.

If he had known what he knew now, he would have gone ahead with his relationship with her and allowed her have her child. Afterall, she had suggested that they leave the pregnancy till such a time as he was ready for the wedding. He would have just kept giving her one excuse or the other and kept postponing it till he had tired of her and paid her off.

Now, the plan was different. He was going to deal with his wife and then marry Nancy and then she would have no choice but to swallow the sarcasm with which she had spoken to him about his affair especially the one involving Nancy.

Nancy had wanted to go on pretending to be asleep but she became unbearably pressed and she had to stand to ask for the restroom or get herself wet with her urine.

'Is there a restroom here?' she asked.

'Of course', he answered and took her there himself.

'Would you like to come in as well? Just to make sure that I do not escape?' she asked sarcastically.

'I wouldn't mind. It would go a long way to making my work easier since you are the one who invited me, you will not fight me off', he said and smiled leeringly.

Nancy felt a slight fear and disgusted with him and shut the door to his face. 'See how he had turned her words round to suit him. Lecherous beast', she thought to herself.

She wanted to stay there and shut him out of her life forever. She never wanted to set eyes on this heartless beast anymore but she could not shut herself in the washroom forever. She had to get out sometime. So she flushed and opened the door.

She was amazed that Alfred did not stay there to watch her. If there had been a way for her to climb out of the restroom, she could have done it but it was not late yet. She would try and find a way to escape to jumping from windows could be dangerous for her in her delicate condition but she would definitely find a way to escape this captivity.

She lay back on the sofa to sleep. She was feeling sleepy all of a sudden. If she had taken anything from him, she would have suspected that Rodney spiked her drink or laced her food with something but since she had not taken anything from him, she could only conclude that the vigorous tide and the events of the day was taken were taken their toll on her.

'Would you like anything?' Rodney asked his voice surprisingly gentle.

'No, thanks'.

'You might feel fished in the night and there might not be anything for you to eat', he warned.

'I am okay thanks. If you are thinking straight, you will remember that you abducted me from a restaurant and you must know what people ho to a restaurant for. So, thanks but no, thanks'.

'As you please', he said shrugging indifferently as he munched the food in front of her.
