Chapter 924: Chapter 924

Li Pin turned to Regalheaven. "What is it? Did you discover something?"

Regalheaven nodded. "I've heard of that term before."

He repeated the word under his breath. "Eternal... Eternal..."

There was something oddly familiar about it, like someone had once discussed it with him in great detail. Yet at the same time, it felt distant, so far removed from him that it shouldn't have had anything to do with him at all.

It felt like a piece of knowledge had been forcibly stripped from him, and now a faint shadow of it was beginning to resurface. The feeling was deeply unsettling.

The more he tried to grasp it, the more it slipped away, impossible to hold onto or make sense of.

Just then, Supreme Ordainment spoke up. "If it's about the Eternal... I've heard something similar before. I don't know if it was just a coincidence, or if it really pointed to some kind of extraordinary existence."

Regalheaven and Li Pin turned to him.

"Supreme Black White," Ordainment answered solemnly.

"Supreme Black White?"

The moment the name was mentioned, both Genesis and Primordial were visibly shaken.

Regalheaven recalled the figure. "The one who tried to rewrite the rules of the Astral World by gathering the power of many Supremes, but was ultimately struck down by its backlash and succumbed to the Void?"

He remembered this Supreme. He was someone who had transcended racial bounds and, like himself, survived the collapse of the Ancient Astral World.

Back then, after the Creator disappeared, he had fallen into a strange state of being neither truly alive nor dead. It wasn't until he split into two beings, becoming Supreme Regalheaven and Transcendent Equiheaven, that he escaped that limbo and returned to existence in the truest sense.

But during that strange existence, he had lost much of his original memory. From then on, his actions were guided by instinct, which took the form of an obsession with studying the Astral World.

Because most of his memories from that era had been lost, his understanding of that Supreme was no different from the rest.

After the chaos of the Ancient Astral World's collapse finally settled, Supreme Black White once summoned twenty-one Supremes from across all races in an attempt to rebuild the Astral World into something complete and controllable.

But during the process of rewriting its laws, he suffered a devastating backlash.

Fortunately, he had also walked the Transcendent path. At the critical moment, he abandoned his Supreme body and fell into the Void, taking with him the profound mysteries of the Transcendent Path. That was how he managed to survive.

Since then, Supreme Black White vanished from the world. Or rather, he had ceased to exist. The one who remained was Transcendent Black White.

"It was him." Supreme Ordainment nodded slightly. "Back then, the reason he tried to alter the Astral World's rules was because he believed it contained the power of the Eternal."

"The Astral World contains the power of the Eternal?" Supreme Genesis raised a brow in disbelief. "That's impossible, isn't it? The Astral World might be the core of the universe, but compared to the universe as a whole, it's still far too weak. Honestly, it wouldn't even take half the Supremes. Just a quarter of them working together could easily rewrite its laws."

He couldn't help but chuckle. "Surely the power of an Eternal isn't weaker than a quarter of the universe's combined strength?"

"That, I can't say for sure," Supreme Ordainment replied, shaking his head. "But back then, Supreme Black White's obsession with the Astral World was driven by his desire to catch a glimpse of the Eternal's power."

The others fell silent, each lost in thought.

At that moment, Supreme Primordial speculated, "The terms 'Eternal' and 'power of Eternity' came from Creator Miao Ya. They refer to a realm far beyond our own, and most likely point to the being rumored to have created Supreme Regalheaven. If even Supreme Black White mentioned such an existence... could it mean he's somehow connected to Creator Miaoya and the others?"

He added, "What I mean is... maybe they're the same kind of beings, just with different approaches to dealing with our universe?"

"That possibility can't be ruled out," Supreme Regalheaven said. "But no matter what the truth is, our first step is to find him. Equiheaven will do his best to track him down."

The other Supremes nodded in agreement. They needed to locate him first before they could learn anything more.

Supreme Black White had cultivated both the Supreme and Transcendent paths, but had eventually succumbed to the Void. A being of that level would be nearly impossible to find unless he chose to reveal himself.

In that case, even if Supreme Black White possessed full knowledge of the Eternal, it would be meaningless if they couldn't reach him.

Li Pin calmly said, "Searching for a Transcendent is incredibly difficult. Rather than that, we might as well venture deep into the Void of Chaos and track down Creator Miao Ya and the others. We could shift the battlefield outside the universe. That way, even if things go badly, we won't bring destruction to our universe and repeat the tragedy of the Astral World, where Astral Gods perished in droves, like torrential rain pouring from the heavens."

Supreme Primordial explained, "But the Void of Chaos is Creator Miao Ya's home turf. After so many years living there, they're intimately familiar with its environment. On the other hand, once Supremes enter that place, their very 'existence' begins to erode. If we then confront Creator Miao Ya and his group there, we'll be at a complete disadvantage.

"So the best strategy is to prepare thoroughly and try to draw them into our universe. Once they're here, we can join forces and suppress them with the full might of the Supremes."

He glanced at Li Pin with a smile. "I know you're worried that their power might be too great for us to suppress. We've thought about that too. Over the past period, under the pretense of revising the Astral World's rules, we've established a complete communication system among the Supremes.

"If we find ourselves unable to handle the Creators alone, we'll rally all the others and launch a coordinated assault. When the time comes, with dozens, maybe nearly a hundred, Supremes acting together, we won't need to fear these so-called Creators."

Li Pin said no more. He, too, wished to uncover the truth of the Ancient Astral World from the mouths of Creator Miao Ya and the others.

But since they were hiding deep within the Void of Chaos, he had no way of finding them.

Now that Supreme Genesis, Supreme Primordial, and the others believed Supreme Regalheaven could lure them out and subdue them, he chose to wait.

All he could do was hope that their return would finally resolve the doubts weighing on his heart.

Supreme Primacy said, "Origin, the reason we have brought you here this time was partly to share our plan, and partly because we suspected that your inheritance might be linked to the mysterious expert Supreme Regalheaven once mentioned..."

He looked at Li Pin, then gave a helpless smile. "But it seems we were wrong."

"It doesn't matter," Li Pin replied calmly. "I've long heard of Supreme Regalheaven. Since he attained the Transcendent Body, I assume he has some insight into reincarnation and karma. Now that we have some time, why don't we sit and discuss the Dao? We might be able to exchange thoughts, and perhaps even refine our understanding of the realm beyond Liberation."

Supreme Regalheaven's interest was piqued. "The realm beyond Liberation?"

Supreme Genesis, Supreme Primordial, and Supreme Ordainment all lit up with joy.

"We couldn't ask for more."

Earlier, when Li Pin battled Supreme Great Heaven, he had already demonstrated the overwhelming power of the realm beyond the Supreme level.

Then on the way to Violet Nightsky Palace, he appeared to have fully comprehended it. Now that he was willing to share its profound mysteries, how could the Supremes not be overjoyed?

From Li Pin’s conversation with the Void Emperor—which gave him clarity on his karmic ties—to his visit to the Violet Nightsky Palace, the entire process had taken just a few hours. In such a short span, the sky hadn't even begun to darken.

People were coming and going at Hanyang University, but no one paid much attention to the two figures sitting quietly by the lake. For origınal chapters go to novel·fire·net

At most, a few students in a nearby teaching building, busy cramming to avoid failing their exams, glanced over occasionally. Anyone would be curious as to why two people would sit by the lake for so long.

After a long silence, Li Pin's avatar turned his gaze back to the Void Emperor.

He said sincerely, "Thank you."

The Void Emperor looked at him, puzzled. "Why are you thanking me?"

"You let me see the truth," Li Pin replied. "Maybe everything is destiny. Or maybe... it's the path I carved out for myself. But no matter what destiny has in store, I'll accept it calmly. Even if the destiny I choose to accept is still part of its arrangement, I'll have no regrets."

He paused. "If my destiny is completely aligned with my heart... who cares if it’s preordained?"

The Void Emperor looked at him.

Li Pin then asked, "Do you know about the Dao Realm?"

The Void Emperor nodded. "I've seen it."

But he didn't say where.

Li Pin didn't press further.

"Since you know its nature," he said, "then do you know what my Dao is?"

Before the Void Emperor could answer, Li Pin continued, "It's evolution. It's transcendence."

He reached out, as if trying to grasp something, but all he held was the air slipping through his fingers.

"Along the way, I've surpassed the Legends, surpassed the Astral God, surpassed the Divine Emperor, surpassed the Supreme, and even surpassed Creators. In the future, I'll surpass Liberation, surpass Eternity, and eventually... surpass Destiny itself."

A faint smile spread across his face. "I don't know what path destiny has laid out for me. The only thing I know is, no matter what, I'll keep walking. I'll walk until I find the true ultimate, the true origin, the true end. Until then, I'll never stop, never rest, and never turn back..."

"What if you fail?" the Void Emperor asked.

"I'll wait," Li Pin answered. "I'll wait for that person, that event, or that object to appear and tell me my Dao is wrong."

He paused again. "But I believe... I'll never see that day."

Because... if that day truly came, it could only mean one thing—he was dead, his consciousness extinguished, his existence erased, and his meaning replaced.

But until that moment arrived, until the very last instant, his belief would never waver.

And so... he would never lose.

The Void Emperor looked at Li Pin, who brimmed with confidence and vitality, as if boundless energy surged within him.

He radiated hope and brilliance, as though he carried light itself, so dazzling, and so resplendent.
