‘Ummh, I’m sorry Tony.’ Lexi said with a surprising soprano voice that made her nearly open her mouth wide with shock. At this moment she felt like crying yet no tears came. This was really unfortunate. She had lost all face in Infront of tony, her face felt as if it was flaming. Goodness, what could she do?

‘It’s okay Lexi, actually, I’m the one at fault for leaving something like this on the ground. I hope you are okay.’

‘Yes, I am thanks. Thanks for saving me from a date with the ground Tony.’ Lexi said as she attempted to brighten the atmosphere with a light chuckle.

‘Ha-ha, you are welcome my princess.’ Tony said as he bowed to her in an exaggerated way.

Lexi could not help laughing, it was hilarious watching him. ‘Ha-ha come on my servant then, lead the way.’

‘With pleasure my princess.’

Strangely, every occasion that he called her his princess made her heart race and her skin warm. His base voice uttered her name, and she felt her insides wobble. It was as though everything about him entranced her. she did not understand the flattering of her heart but one thing was sure she liked him.

At that moment, tony led her to a chair and had her sit.

‘Well, I’m going out for some coffee, would you like me to bring you something else.’

‘Not necessarily, coffee is okay.’ Lexi said, at that moment, there were so many nerves playing around in her stomach she doubted she could stand to take anything.

“Okay, then give me five and I’ll be back. Would you please watch the shop before I’m back?”

‘Great, will do.’

Lexi was left a mess when Tony went for the coffee. Her face was even redder than a tomato and her heart was still racing, especially when she remembered what had gone on. Placing a hand on her chest, she rubbed herself subconsciously, while her eyes got a hazy hue on them, as though she was gone far away in her mind. Was this how it felt when someone liked another, the way her waist, just where Tony had held her still tingled and felt warm? Somehow, she wanted to just eat tony up and be cuddly.

Beating her head with her hand, she shook it to dispel the thoughts. What was with her. she was such a hooligan. How could she think of eating Tony, yet the thought sent shivers all over? Yet at that time, the fact that Tony had not shown any signs that he was interested worried her. perhaps all this was one-sided and she was bound for heartbreak. The thought sent pain in her heart and she nearly gasped loudly. Was this how far gone she was?

No, perhaps she should dissociate herself from him if he didn’t show interest. It was no use trying to push herself at someone who didn’t want her, yet the thought made her heart pain in the deepest ways possible.

On the other hand, tony still could not believe what was going on. His mind which had always been steady as a mountain was moving like the waves of the sea. His heart still thrummed and he could not ignore how he had to stop himself from kissing Lexi with such difficulty. She entranced him. Every move and word. Everything she did, he liked. Yet he still could not accept it, he thought he had liked his boss or had it just been an infatuation. Because while he respected his boss, he did not desire her with the same intensity he did Lexi.

That was why he had said he wanted to go and get some coffee, not that he needed the coffee, he just wanted to get his heart to slow down. He was afraid that his thoughts were nearly getting out of hand. The distance he took to and from the coffee shop somehow calmed him and by the time he returned to the place, he had some semblance of normalcy.

Immediately she set her eyes on him, her eyes lit up like the stars. Her scorching gaze made his steel heart have some ripples. Every calm he had disappeared the moment she smiled at him. He walked towards her feeling quite clumsy. All of a sudden, he could not coordinate his hands and legs while walking, and he nearly fell by the same thing as Lexi. He could not imagine how embarrassing that would be and so hiding the red color that adorned his cheeks, he took the wire and rolled it up to store it somewhere safe. All this while, Lexi was still looking at him with eyes that glowed brighter with time and no matter how he tried, his legs all became left feet. Taking deep breaths to calm down, he took the coffee and went to her.

Regardless of everything, he was still a man and he had to preserve his dignity. Anyone watching them from outside could not help sighing at the beautiful couple. Giving her, a cup, their fingers brushed sending a zap of electricity between them. Looking at her, Tony opened his mouth several times to say something yet he couldn’t. He just kept swallowing while looking at her. she looked so angelic it took his breath away literally. Noticing this, Lexi felt a blush steal away at his intense gaze.

‘What do you want to say.’ She said as she steeled herself to take initiative.

‘You look really pretty.’ He said subconsciously as though he was whispering to himself. When he noticed what he had said, he opened his mouth wanting to refute it, yet the look Lexi gave him made him shut up. It was too bright inside that place. he bit his inner lip to stop himself from talking or laughing. At his comment, she had straightened like a peacock seeking attention and a proud expression occupied her face.

‘Well, yes, I am always pretty, you are just slow to say it.’ she said as she raised an eyebrow at him while pushing her hair behind her ear.

This made him just want to indulge her. why had he not really noticed how pretty she was?

‘Ha-ha yes, it is my fault I was slow to notice it.’

‘Hmm! at least you know to admit it.’

‘And because of that, how about I take you out tonight after work.’

‘Yes, tony, it’s your fault.’ She said then stopped halfway when she heard what he had said. ‘Whaa… what did you say.’ She asked with a flabbergasted look on her face.

‘Well, I asked if you would honor me by going out for a meal with me?’

At this moment, in her head, she was screaming so loudly she could have torn the whole place down just by it. taking a moment to calm down the shriek that was forming in her head, she looked at him. ‘As in a date.’

‘It could be if you allow it.’

She felt ecstatic, everything was even moving faster than she had anticipated. With as much decorum as she could master, she said yes and the rest of the time was spent half listening and daydreaming about what he was saying. So immersed at the moment were they that they had not even noticed when Lisa had gotten in. when she cleared her throat, they moved farther from each other as though they had been burnt. What was with this two? Lisa asked herself as she moved to her office. Their faces were too red, as though they were guilty of something.

She had just sat in her office when Lisa came in like a storm and closed the door after her. standing, she started jumping up and down and doing a happy dance as she spoke incoherently while fast-paced. Looking at her, she looked like a lunatic.

‘Ha-ha Lexi, why the hell are you jumping up and down like a crazy person.’

‘Ha-ha Lisa just guess.’ Lexi said with a stupid smile while giggling like crazy.

Looking at her, Lisa could already guess that it concerned Anthony but she pretended not to know. ‘Did you get a contract for more clothes?’ She asked innocently while hiding the smile that threatened to break free.

‘No, come on, it's something else, just guess.’
