I lifted my half-bowed face as I was about to pass the entrance because someone said my name. My eyes widened in shock and disbelief at what I saw, now standing in front of me was a man from my past.

“Phillip,” I say almost in a whisper, I don’t know how to act but all my feelings for him are gone and I’m just surprised to meet him here at this time.

“Hi, you look different.”

He smiled with his smile that was still the same as before, that smile had been one of my favorites but now it felt normal. I introduced Sean to him, Sean just smiled politely then I gave Phillip an excuse to leave immediately.

“I hope we can meet again another time,” he said before we parted. Sean took my hand again and headed to his Mercedes Benz which was parked in the restaurant parking lot. I put the pizza in the center seat of the car, then buckled my seatbelt.

“Who’s he?”

I sighed, I didn’t really want to talk about Phillip but Sean already asked.

“Just an old friend.”

My senses raised one eyebrow and looked at me with a questioning look that satirically ‘old friend’, I know the word friend is not the right word to describe Phillip for me.

“Is that true??”

Oh, shit! Why does he have to have strong instincts?? I stayed silent and didn’t answer. We were silent the whole way to the apartment until we arrived at the apartment neither of us spoke, Sean immediately went into his study while I chose to go into the room to change clothes and take a shower. I massaged the area between my forehead using my thumb and forefinger as I sat in the chair behind my desk. I just finished a class today, before leaving I just drank chocolate milk without eating anything, Mrs. Liam was screaming for me to bring food, but I ignored him because I was late this morning. Hannah’s face appeared behind the door of my room which she opened as wide as her head. I looked at her briefly then closed my eyes again, my massage moved to my temples, oh my God, my head hurts so bad.

“You are okay??”

I heard Hannah’s footsteps pounding the floor loudly in her high heels toward me, I exhaled heavily.

“I only drank milk before I came here because I was late,” I replied, I always wake up late when Sean isn’t around. The man is visiting his parent company in Germany, he’s been away for three days and will be back in three days I’ll never get used to without him with me. When he left I took his dirty clothes that were still in the dirty clothes basket and put them on when I was going to sleep, it helped me think that he was here sleeping with me and hugging me like he usually does, sounding whiny and crazy.

“I’m going to tell Kelly to bring you some food, do you want something to eat?”

I nod

“Can Kelly order a donut for me? I think I’d like to eat something sweet,” I said looking at Hannah with my pleading expression, the woman nodded, I gave her some bills and told her the change was for Kelly, Hannah nodded and I thanked her before she leave my room. Hannah is the principal who is kind and friendly, even though the entire staff of this school already knows that I am the wife of their boss’s boss, but Hannah is being nice not because of that, she is basically a woman who has high sympathy for people. The people around him and the spirit of the leader, that’s why he was chosen to be the head of the school.

My cell phone rang, I answered my phone call without seeing who was calling, when I said ‘Hello’ there was no answer there just a silence that I felt then the call was cut off, I furrowed my brows while shrugging my shoulders and massaged my temples again, maybe the wrong number. My cell phone rings again, a video call from Sean, I slide the green phone button on the phone screen, the next second Sean’s face appears on the screen.

“Hi, honey, are you okay??”

Sean’s originally smiling face turned surprised, I smiled trying to look fine but failed. I didn’t know the impact of skipping breakfast on me was this severe and I seem to have to promise not to do it again.

“Just dizzy.”

“Dizzy??”

I nodded while massaging one of my temples.

“You’d better go home, honey, do you have Mrs. Liam to look after you or do you want me to call mom?”

I closed my eyes nodding, going home seemed like a good solution but calling Mama Ramia to take care of me was a bad idea, I don’t want to call anyone I just need to eat and rest.

“Are you wearing your Ferrari?”

I nodded again and heard a heavy sigh.

“I’ll call Sam to pick you up.”

“What about the Ferrari?”

“Sam will take care of it, see you later, honey, I’ll try to get home early.”

Our video call ended, the next second my order came Kelly offered me hot tea and I agreed, the smell of the donuts was very tempting. Immediately I opened and ate one of them Kelly came a few minutes later after my second donut was finished, I thanked him. Hannah came when Kelly had just left she sat in the chair across from my table and offered her donuts we had donuts together.

“You’d better go home, Ana, you look pale and I don’t want to hear Mr Valentino’s long tirade.” His gaze conveyed concern and pleading, I nodded then looked at him curiously, I was interested in hearing Hannah about Sean nagging.

“Does Sean often nag here?”

Hannah smiled crookedly while snorting, Sean was angry and controlling.

“If something happens he will nag until we really promise in our hearts that we will not repeat the same mistakes but he is a competent boss, so far the people who work under him don’t complain much with him, we are all treated fairly. “

I raised my eyebrows at Hannah’s confession about my husband being bossy and grumpy at work. Sean did very well and controlled maybe that’s why he became mr. Crazy control anywhere and anytime. This hot tea helped me recover a bit but still I do need a break. We were diverted by a knock on my bedroom door. Sam stood in the half-open doorway, I handed Hannah a box of donuts I still hadn’t touched and took home another box that we had half eaten.

Seen someone standing next to the SUV, a man wearing a white linen shirt and black jeans, he rolled his sleeves up to his elbows, the man smiled then opened the SUV door for me.

“I’m Laurent Ma’am I work with Sam Mr Jariz asked me to take your car home.”

I gave him a weak smile then gave me the keys to my Ferrari after that I got into the SUV. Mama Ramia called me while I was in the elevator with Sam, she asked how I was and I had to admit I was not fine. Sean seemed to have called her, and Rani would come to see how I was because my mother-in-law was in Dubai. Mrs. Liam greeted me with a worried look then he asked if I wanted to eat something, I said I wanted to eat his chicken macaroni soup the woman smiled and I also asked for tea.
