Chapter 15: Chapter 15

Author POV

A little girl stared at a group of children who were kicking a boy in tattered and dirty clothes, then the little girl screamed, “What are you doing?? Get away from him!!” The little girl managed to stop the torture being carried out by the group of boys in front of her right now. Bravely, the little girl picked up the pebbles that were around her feet and then threw stones at the group of boys until they all left leaving the boy lying helpless in a pathetic condition.

The little girl immediately approached the poor boy, and sat down beside him. He took a handkerchief from his bag, carefully cleaned the poor boy’s injured and sand-covered face. The boy slowly opened his eyes.

“Can you hear me?? You are safe now,” said the little girl with a cheerful smile. Then with great difficulty, the little girl tried to help the poor boy to get up and support him so that he could take him to a safe place and treat his wounds.

Memories of when I helped Sean at that time from a group of boys who tortured him, came in the form of my sleeping flower. I woke up completely with a feeling of pain gripping inside of me. I turned my face to the side where Sean was sleeping, but he wasn’t there, the sound of water coming from the bathroom. I got up from my lying position, sitting with my legs dangling to the side of the bed. I looked at the rectangular digital alarm clock that was on the nightstand beside the bed, it was only 5 in the morning and Sean had already woken up. I wonder if he slept well last night.

The sound of water coming from the bathroom stopped, a few minutes later the refreshing scent of Sean’s soap filled the room.

“I just wanted to wake you up,” Sean said as he sat beside me with only his knee-length towel wrapped around his waist.

“Hurry up and get ready, I want to take you sailing to catch the sunrise.”

I was surprised while looking at him with my eyeballs bulging. Sail?? Chasing the sunrise?

An idea crossed my mind, an expensive idea and a property worth hundreds of millions of dollars. I chose to hurry to take a shower in order to immediately get an answer from my curiosity.

“Are we really going to sail?” I asked trying to get a clue from this surprise, Sean showed his cheerful smile, he looked excited. I wore a knee-length mini dress with a spaghetti strap patterned with cherry blossoms made of pale pink silk.

Sean walked over to me who was sitting in front of the dressing table, he put his hands on each of my shoulders and kissed one of them. His touch can really affect me every time he touches me in any way.

“Good choice Mrs Valentino,” he complimented, staring at me with an intense gaze filled with dark, hot, wild and delicious desires. I bit my lower lip holding back the desire in my groin, my gaze locked on his golden net.

“Don’t bite your lip baby, it really affects me.”

Oh, God! How this man contained hedonistic pleasure with just his words. I released my lower lip that was stuck under my teeth and tried to neutralize myself from the wave of desire that could drown me at any moment. Sean straightened up again.

“Come on, we’re going to be late,” he said, then I obediently obeyed his words, as if I was made to obey all his words, this is a new thing for me. I’ve never felt so submissive with a man, as if I willingly, without the burdens and objections of giving myself completely to him to be controlled. I kind of let myself fall freely from a height.

A man was waiting for us near Sean’s SUV.

“Morning, Sam.”

“Good morning Mr Valnetino, Mrs Valentino,” the man named Sam greeted us politely, he opened the door of the SUV for us.

“Again, congratulations on your marriage, sir,” Sam said sincerely in the driver’s seat when we were all in the SUV.

“Thank you, Sam,” Sean replied, and I wondered who this Sam was, was Sean’s confidant some sort of confidant? I looked at the road which was still fairly quiet, Sean grabbed one of my hands and intertwined our fingers. I turned and stared at him in the dim light from the street lamp. He kisses my fingers gently while looking at me with his glittering gold net.

“Are you ready honey? We’re going sailing.”

I smiled and nodded, I can only give up now because I really don’t know where he will take me, he just said we will sail and catch the sunrise.

The car moved away from Century, the name of the apartment building that Sean currently occupies. A few minutes later, his cell phone rang.

“Smith,” Sean said with his cold intonation, calm and controlled when he answered his phone call.

“Yeah, the help should get there… no, use another route…, keep an eye on it.”

And the conversation is over, my reporter personality emerges, I wonder what Sean did to get him this rich.

“Do you have an underground business?” I asked who immediately got a funny look from him, his lips twitched from laughing.

What? Is my question incorrect?

Sean rubbed his chin in a slow motion covered with hair.

“No, all my business is above ground,” he replied, he looked at me with a humorous look, I chuckled while rolling my eyes. I don’t know if my question is answered so funny like this.

“Stop rolling your eyes Ana, that’s rude.” Sean said with a slightly serious intonation.

“Is my question difficult to understand? I just want to know what you did to get you to this rich,” I said a little irritated, Sean showed a smile advertising toothpaste.

“A lot, but I like investing, are you sure you want to know the details?” Sean seemed to offer a menu of food whether I wanted to try it or not, I shrugged.

“If you want to talk,” I answered casually, I wasn’t really sure if I would listen to him talk about his business.

“I like long-term investing and it benefits a lot of people, not just me. I learned a lot from my answer

“Do you own any of your father’s companies?” I was curious and prepared to receive all the answers.

“No, I don’t want to interfere in his business, I have my own business, so far we have only worked together to develop the business to succeed.”

I just nodded slowly.

“Do your mother and Rani also have a company like you and your father?”

Sean chuckled as he looked down for a moment, then looked back at me with a gaze that paralyzed me.

“You surprised me, Ariana, and I’m happy if I guess wrong about you,” he said and kissed the back of my hand which was still intertwined with his fingers.

“What do you think of me?”

Where is this conversation really going? Why has this conversation changed about me?! Another annoying ability of Sean, the handsome lord of distraction.

“I thought you were, like most women, disapproving and reserved.”

My face is burning, I’m a shameless and talkative woman.
