Chapter 14: Chapter 14
I don’t know how dare I help her at that time from the actions of all boys, I’m just a little girl who happens to be washing her hands in the school toilet before leaving school after doing picket class. I looked up to see Sean’s face filled with tears, oh my God, that look hurt me deeply into my soul just like it was at that time.
“You are my brave little girl,” he whispered softly when our eyes met, I touched his perfect face, I never thought that this man—my husband—was the poor boy who I helped from the cruel behavior of his friends.
“I am very surprised by this fact,” I said voicing my thoughts, the Inner Goddess and my senses were also shocked at this time, they both seemed to be paralyzed by the presented facts. Sean puts both thumbs on my face to wipe the water, while the other fingers behind my head.
“Since then, I have never stopped thinking about and watching you, you are like a ray of hope to me,” he said, a smile on his lips and hope shone in his golden net. I’m just silent and want to hear this, I want to know about him.
“But I realized, at that time I did not deserve to be around you, you are a cheerful little girl, friendly, intelligent and talented, everyone wants to be your friend including me, you are like a flower that is liked by beetles.”
I smiled sadly, I know, this man is hiding something, but I can’t be sure what it is, it’s my job to find out.

I lay in the dim light of the nightlight, Sean was still in his work, it seemed today was a busy day for him. I’m still thinking about the facts I found today, various questions arise in my mind and I want to ask them all, knowing what a Sean Al Abraham has gone through so far, so that he can become what he is now. Sean’s figure finally appeared, he was wearing dark brown material pants with a white shirt that looked a little messy, he looked sexy and seductive with his current appearance. I gulped saliva with difficulty to neutralize the turmoil of desire that came without being asked.
Sean walked to his wall in closet in the corner of the room, then he appeared wearing only a boxer. He walked over to the bed where I was currently watching him with full attention.
“Not asleep yet?” he asked who was now on the side of the bed I didn’t sleep on.
“I’m waiting for you,” I replied with a smile, he gave me a death smile then kissed my forehead, I saw him slightly raise his pillow position then leaned back.
“Come here!” he ordered softly, I immediately shifted and pressed my body against him, I put my head on his chest. The heavenly scent of a Sean Al Abraham invaded my sense of smell, I inhaled the scent deeply, I was like an addict inhaling personal cocaine.
“I want to talk.” I started, my Inner Goddess sat on her sofa tensed and waiting.
“About what?”
“You,” I replied weakly. I felt Sean’s body stiffen for a few seconds and then relax again, his arms wrapped around me, he took a deep breath.
“What do you want to know about me?” His tone was calm and controlled. This is a good start to get some information.
“Everything Mr Valentino , starting with your childhood,” I said, I was getting ready for all the things I would hear from a Sean Al Abraham.
“My biological mother was a refugee from the victims of the civil war in Afghanistan, my father was a soldier who died fighting with the militants. The conditions in the environment where I lived in Afghanistan were so deplorable that my mother decided to flee with other refugees until we arrived in Thailand.”
My heart is being gripped, this is beyond my expectation. I can only be silent not wanting to interrupt.
“My mother and I are in very poor condition, moreover we and other refugees are illegal refugees, we live unfit, but we can breathe a sigh of relief because apart from the terrible war situation. My mother was lucky to get a job even though it was only a manual laborer in the market, but he can send me to the same place as you.”
I could feel how painful his life was at that time. War is one of those things that brings serious disaster to everyone without exception, and this poor boy has to experience and accept it.
“What happened to your birth mother?” I want to know, even though I know this is definitely not good news. I just found out that he is the adopted son of Uncle Abraham and Aunt Ramia.
“My mother died of acute tuberculosis which she had been suffering from since we were in Afghanistan.”
Poor Sean, tears threaten to come out but I try to contain this emotional turmoil. I didn’t want to spoil the moment, I took a deep breath trying to fight back the tears that were about to break out, this was too tragic for a child to experience.
“You are okay??” Sean asked, I nodded.
“After my mother died, I left the refugee area, my footsteps took me to an orphanage in the suburbs, it became my last place before being adopted by this family.” I breathed a sigh of relief and thanked God for saving this poor boy.
“When I found the orphanage, I felt saved, but it was only a temporary feeling.” Ryan took a deep breath. Oh no! What happened to her at the orphanage?? I want to know.
“You better sleep, it’s getting late,” he decided which made me feel very dissatisfied, I shifted from my position and returned to my pillow, then looked at him who was now staring at the ceiling, I knew he was thinking something.
I wanted to ask but my Inner Goddess warned me not to, and my senses also agreed to it even though this seemed very difficult. I looked at Sean with all emotions mixed inside of me, he looked so fragile and vulnerable. The situation is like calling me to always want to be by his side, I want him to share that pain with me.
“Did I push you too much?” I wonder what’s on his mind right now, Sean turned to look at me then turned his lying position facing me.
“Not really, I like that you want to know about me,” he admits, he gives me a genuine smile that soothes my heart. My Inner Goddess wiped the nervous sweat off her forehead then immediately leaned her back to release the tension.
“I’d like to hear more about you, but maybe later.”
Sean caressed my face with his thumb and smiled with his lips forming a straight line, I know, that smile felt weird but I promised myself not to give up.
“Go to sleep, tomorrow I want to take you somewhere,” he said and my mind was distracted.
“Where to?”
“It’s a surprise.” He answered me while flashing his secretive smile. I turned my back to him and pressed my back against his front body, he embraced me in his possessive embrace that sent a sense of security into me.
