Chapter 12: Chapter 12

"Are you serious?" Covering her mouth, Ghea stared in disbelief at Inez. Her eyes repeatedly blinked. Ghea swept her gaze across the classroom, which was quiet because the school had already been dismissed. Ghea moved her chair closer to Inez. "How come you didn't realize that?" she whispered softly.

Inez leaned back on the chair, and at the same time her breath came in long sighs. She gave Ghea a glance.

"What am I doing wrong by lying to you?" said Inez. "I'm still confused too, I have a headache."

"What happens to you, Nez? If you get pregnant?" asked Ghea innocently.

"Filter your mouth!" Inez couldn't stop herself from pushing Ghea's forehead back with a quick and rough motion. Inez sighed, then grumbled. "I can't be pregnant!"

"Yeah, sorry, but who knows Nez?"

"Why are you saying that? Don't scare me, you're annoying Ghe." Inez threw a sharp glare at Ghea, her teeth chattering in annoyance. How could her best friend say something like that.

"No, Nez, you can't be pregnant. Take it easy."

"I know."

"From what you said earlier, you said that you asked for it yourself?" Ghea asked with one eyebrow raised. Ghea moved her middle and index fingers as she said the word "play."

"I don't remember saying that." Inez rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Besides, I'm still in the right mind to give myself to a boy," she continued, waving her hand.

"There's no way Cakra would do that to you, Nez."

"You know what?"

Ghea exhaled harshly. "There's no way he would tell you that he tasted your body. If that's the case, then he's a stupid boy."

Inez didn't answer immediately, she looked down, staring at her desk in thought. After digesting it, what Ghea said was also true. Inez looked up again, then looked back at Ghea.

"It's true what you said, but I have another reason."

"What is it?" asked Ghea curiously. She focused on Inez while resting her chin on the table.

"If the boy didn't do that to me, then why did he ask for the shirt and shoes back?" Inez paused her explanation, filling her lungs that were running out of oxygen. "I'm confused there, I never go home with a boy's things."

"You should ask him," Ghea suggested.

"Yes, I was going to ask him later," Inez said as she cleaned up her desk, which was still full of her stationery. She quickly put the items into her bag.

Ghea did the same. After finishing, the girl with glasses stood up from her seat. "Let's go home, it's getting quiet."

"You go first, Ghe, I want to find Cakra for a while."

"Isn't that boy home yet?"

Inez shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, but what's the harm in trying to find him? Who knows he's not home yet, right? I want to ask for an explanation about that."

Ghea nodded in understanding. "Alright, good luck, Nez! If you get an answer, don't forget to contact me! I'm curious too."

Inez again could only nod, and the girl then lifted her body from the chair. "Okay, I'll let you know," she said quietly.

"Sip deh!" Ghea smiled with satisfaction while showing her thumbs up.

While Ghea walked a little towards the school parking lot to get her motorcycle, Inez walked in the opposite direction from her best friend.

The school was already quiet, the corridor that Inez was now standing on had no other students passing by. Inez was alone, the girl then stopped walking for a while and took the earphones to tune the music. After finishing, she continued her journey to go to Cakra's class.

Perhaps Inez was lucky to meet that boy.

Arriving at Cakra's class, Inez found not the boy she was looking for, but several students who were cleaning the classroom.

Inez exhaled harshly. From the doorway of the classroom, she asked with her voice accented up several octaves.

"Has anyone seen Cakra?" Inez asked.

The three girls who were sweeping the floor immediately turned their eyes to Inez. They were silent for a split second and looked at each other, until finally one of them answered Inez's question.

"I think he went home."

Inez was disappointed, of course. She was tired of walking here, but she couldn't find the person she was looking for. Sighing roughly, Inez tried to calm herself down.

Inez smiled. "Okay, thanks for the information!"

Without waiting for the answer to come out of her interlocutor's lips, Inez immediately turned around, walking at a fast pace towards where her car was parked. Inez was forced to run because she had a feeling that Cakra had not left the school area.

Inez had to be quick before she lost the boy. She needed that information, and if she didn't get it right now, Inez would definitely think about it until she couldn't sleep. Inez didn't want that to happen.

With her breath catching, Inez stopped running because her energy was drained. She tried to neutralize her breathing. Fortunately, good fortune was still on her side, so Inez didn't feel like she had lost much by running fast like before.

She saw Cakra, who was about to ride his bike. Not yet fully rested from her fatigue, Inez was already running again. Cakra was already pedaling his bike, Inez glared even more and increased her foot speed.

Cakra could not escape, and Inez really needed an explanation to calm herself down. Inez ran as hard as she could, until the incident happened quite quickly. Inez stopped right in Cakra's way.

Cakra was wide-eyed in shock because his path was blocked by Inez. The boy was in shock. There was no time to brake suddenly, Cakra immediately slammed the handlebar to the right side. And the unfortunate incident happened. The boy crashed into a  tree.

Cakra fell to the ground. The boy grimaced in pain while holding his waist, which suddenly started to ache.

He was still lying on the ground, repeatedly cursing and swearing at Inez. Cakra faintly saw Inez, who walked over to him while laughing loudly.

Instead of immediately helping Cakra get up, Inez squatted down near Cakra's face.

"Does it hurt?" Inez asked, punctuated by a small laugh.

Cakra hissed in annoyance, and the boy then tried to sit up. He grimaced again, and his back also throbbed. He threw his sharp gaze at Inez.

"What are you doing?" asked Cakra while looking at Inez disapprovingly. His hands moved to pat his dirty uniform.

"Sorry, I didn't expect it to end like this," Inez replied with a sweet smile. She looked at the boy in front of her. "I have something to ask you."

"If you want to ask, do you really have to make me get hurt like this?" said Cakra sarcastically. He snorted rudely.

"I already said I'm sorry. Just now, how are you?"

"You're talking playfully, not seriously."

Inez turned her face away while taking a deep breath. Then her hand was extended to Cakra. "I'm sorry, okay?" She said it sincerely while wearing her best smile.

Cakra watched for a moment the hand that was stretched out in front of him. His face then turned to the side.

"I forgive you," said Cakra.

"Seriously?"

"Hmm."

"And now, can I ask you a question?"

Cakra immediately turned his gaze, his forehead wrinkled, and he watched Inez's face again while thinking for a moment about what kind of question she would ask. But he couldn't find the answer to his prediction.

He snorted softly. "What do you want to ask?"

"You said I asked to be raped, right? After that, did you do what I wanted? If your answer is no, why are your shoes and shirt on me?"

Cakra held his breath for a few seconds. He was a little surprised by Inez's question. It was really embarrassing to talk about this again.
