Chapter 11: Chapter 11
Cakra stood in front of the classroom door, his broad back leaning against the doorframe, his hands stuffed into his pants pockets. His feet stomped repeatedly on the floor. He was startled when someone tapped him lightly on the shoulder.
Inez, the girl he had been waiting for, finally appeared. He immediately stood up straight and flashed a thin smile.
"Where are my shoes?" he asked directly, to the point. He didn't want to linger here, it felt uncomfortable if he wasn't in his class area. Cakra had also been getting stares from other students. And honestly, it was very disturbing. Cakra had to get out of here quickly.
"Your shoes?"
He nodded quickly. "I forgot yesterday, my shirt is also with you. Now you brought them all, right?"
Shirt too? Inez grimaced softly. She had been trying to find information and remember Cakra's shoes since yesterday. However, the results were still invisible. Inez had completely forgotten that she had ever met Cakra before. Shirt and shoes? Why were those two items on her? Inez had yet to find an answer that made sense.
"You brought it, right?" Cakra asked once again. He looked at Inez with a faint frown, waiting for her answer.
Inez looked at Cakra, looking up slightly because of their height. Inez tried to carry her smile. One hand rubbed the back of her neck.
Inez swallowed, and she hurriedly looked to the side. "I'm dead," she muttered. Then Inez looked back at Cakra. Her eyes seemed to close as she smiled widely.
"I have a pretty guess for you, want to hear it?" Inez's face looked many times brighter. She crossed her arms in front of her chest as she waited for Cakra's response. "How about it? Do you want it?"
"I want my shoes, not guessing," he replied. "Where are my shoes and shirt that you have?" he asked again, his hand extended to Inez, asking for the items he had just mentioned.
"Look, I have a guess. If you answer correctly, I'll give you the shoes and shirt."
One of Cakra's thick eyebrows rose. "You really have to?"
"Yup!" Inez smiled widely as she nodded firmly.
He let out a long breath. "I don't have time to play around," he said in a slightly firmer tone. Cakra really didn't have time anymore. He had to leave with his belongings right now.
"Don't you want to play?" Inez challenged, her hands on her hips. She moved her body forward slightly until Cakra reflexively backed away.
"Don't stall for time," he said.
Inez swept her gaze around while chuckling softly. "Are you afraid of losing?"
"No."
"Hurry up and play."
"I'll be in a minute," Cakra argued.
Before Inez could reply to him, what he said suddenly happened. The entrance bell rang, filling the school corridor. Cakra looked back at Inez while letting out a long breath. His eyes turned sharp.
"You didn't bring the stuff I meant, right? Don't make any more excuses. I'll give you until tomorrow, I need my shoes and shirt back. Please return them, okay?"
Without waiting for what Inez would say, Cakra already turned around. Then he walked away from Inez's class. Cakra still couldn't figure out, how Inez could always forget to bring him his belongings? It's impossible for Inez to forget, the incident that happened not long ago. However, Cakra immediately stopped his steps. He thought for a moment, his eyes bulging slightly. It could be that Inez really did forget about the incident when she was drunk. Yes, of course that was the case.
Cakra turned around, he saw Inez, who was still in her place, standing while looking at him. Cakra walked back towards Inez.
"Why are you back here?" asked Inez, feeling confused herself. Her gaze turned confused.
"Be honest with me now, do you remember why my shoes and shirt are with you?" Cakra asked firmly. "Do you remember that time?"
"What does that mean?" asked Inez. Her mouth opened halfway.
Cakra let out a rough breath. The answer is easy to guess now. No wonder Inez didn't bring the shoes and shirt Cakra asked for because the girl didn't remember at all. Drunk people often don't know what happened before.
"Do you remember me?" Cakra asked again, trying to trigger Inez's memory.
Inez nodded. "You Cakra, I remember you. New student here, what's wrong with that? I'm not that clumsy." At the end of her sentence, Inez snorted harshly.
"No ... That's not what I meant," Cakra replied. He paused his words for a moment, then looked at Inez and continued. "Look, we met before. Do you remember?"
"What do you mean?" Inez asked again. She was getting more and more confused with what this boy in front of her was saying. "What are you talking about? Just going around and around."
"We met before I went to school here," said Cakra in one breath. His gaze drifted quite sharply. "You were drunk, you almost got hit by a car, you didn't know the way home, and you were too drunk to balance your body. I was there, and we met. And the most annoying thing, you asked..."
"Ask what?" asked Inez, who was already curious. She narrowed her eyes, watching the silent Cakra while twisting her thin lips, which Inez found very sexy.
Inez didn't remember the incident, but she still remembered that a few moments ago she was at the bar and drunk.
"You asked to be raped," Cakra said, continuing his unfinished sentence. His cheeks suddenly heated up, ashamed of himself.
Not wanting to linger there, Cakra turned around, walking with long strides, wanting to get away from Inez quickly. He was really embarrassed that he had said that.
"Hey Cakra!" Inez shouted loudly. But Cakra ignored her, the boy's steps were getting faster. Inez called out to him once more, but to no avail.
Inez sighed as she bent over at the waist. She still didn't remember the incident when she met Cakra when she was drunk.
"I'm asking to be raped?" Inez muttered softly while playing with her red lipstick-covered lips. She was still struggling with herself. She grimaced, feeling ashamed of herself.
"So why are his shoes and shirt on me?" Inez paced in front of her class. Thinking about the possibilities. Then, suddenly, her movements stopped. She widened her eyes.
"He said I asked to be raped, and he just complied?" Inez swallowed harshly. "And then he borrowed me his shirt and shoes? WHAT!"
Inez went limp, as if her legs couldn't support her weight. Inez staggered, then sat down on the chair at the front of the class. She massaged her forehead, which was suddenly dizzy.
"Shit, I'm not a virgin anymore," she hissed. Inez looked up and gathered her breath. "Guys have to take responsibility if I get pregnant. Watch out if you run away from your responsibility!"
