Chapter 86: Chapter 86

Chapter 88 Wants to leave the Hargreaves Family

After she talked to Sarah Olsen, Elly dared not to go back to the ward. She walked to the street and wandered alone.

She was lost in the aimless street and felt lost in the huge city.

A lot of her thoughts were intertwined. She was a mess, and she's confused. Elly forgot the reason why she wanted to go back to Alberta, and she didn't even understand why she went to Sweden and then came back. Over and over again, she was locked like a sleepwalker.

If she didn't come back, nothing will happen. This sentence reverberated several times in her mind.

She didn't know how long she walked and limped before she gazed at the strange scenery around her.

"Am I lost?"

Although she had been back to Alberta for a long time, she always goes out with Alex, and the city was still strange to her.

Every night, under the post light, the feeling of loneliness engulfed her heart at will.

Elly unwittingly took out her mobile phone to check her phone book.

She laughed at herself because she had no friends in this city.

She pointed out her finger at Alex. Her heart was out of control.

She had a fight with him yesterday, and she hit him rudely and vented her unreasonable anger on him. He must still be angry at her now?

Why is she ashamed to call him? Her luggage was still at his house. Yes, that's why she's calling.

Elly made up her mind and then she touched the phone screen after hesitating for a moment.

Her phone rang. She grabbed her phone, listened while her palms were sweating because of nervousness.

On the third ring, the other line still hadn't picked up, and just as Elly was about to give up, a lazy voice came from the other side.

"What happened?" The person on the other side asked.

There were only three simple words and there was no discomfort. But his phone purred while he was asleep and was woken up by Elly's phone call.

She said sheepishly. "Were you sleeping?"

"No, no." He answered it simple, but it seemed to be more sober than before.

Knowing that he comforted her, Elly's emotions were more complicated, so she confirmed her intention and apologized to him first.

"I'm sorry, if I treated you badly yesterday. I was in a bad mood. I shouldn't have vent my anger to you."

"You called tonight just to apologize to me?" Alex impatiently interrupted Elly's explanation. Suddenly, he heard a car passed on her background, and he asked hurriedly. "Where are you?"

Her eyes were drenched by his sensitive questions, and she looked around like an idiot. "I don't know this place. There's no tall buildings or signage here." she was just like in the suburbs.

"Describe to me your surroundings"

As she heard what he said, Elly suddenly remembered that her mobile phone had a location function, and she sent her location to Alex.

"Your low voice is shaking. I'll pick you up now. Stay where you are, you can't get in the stranger's car and don't talk to strangers, understand?" She nodded as if he sees her.

"Alex you're treating me like a child." She whispered to herself. Her heartfelt warm. She erased the cold feeling in her heart.

Alex responded. "I heard you, and I'm not treating you like a kid. Only children get lost." Alex hung up after he spelled out.

Elly obediently stood in the corner as he told. As time passed by, the night came down, leaving her limbs with cold thorns. She walked back and forth, and she rubbed her palms and warmed herself up.

Another car passed by, she stood up to her position, and she jumped happily.

The car door opened and a man came down from his car. He stared at her body with a meticulous smile in his mouth.

"Honey, why are you here alone? Where do you live? Do you want to go home with me and play?"

With the man's grunt the faint smell of alcohol from his breath, Elly knew something was wrong. She withdrew some distance and refused flatly.

"No, my boyfriend is coming to pick me up." She answered quickly.

"Boyfriend?" He smiled. "Are you sure your boyfriend will find you when it's late and you are in such a desolate place? Let me help you, I'll take you home."

She stepped back, but not as fast as him. Her wrist was caught, and the man dragged her to his car. "Now, honey, you shouldn't stand on the street alone."

"Let me go! I don't need your help. My boyfriend will be here soon. Let go!" She clung to the door and screamed, refused to get into the car.

There was a sound of the car slamming on its brakes. The dazzling lights shone on them. The man inside the car was angry, as he saw the scene in the middle of the road. He rushed quickly out of his car.

Elly took advantage of the confused man and pulled out her hands because the man lost his strength. Alex attacked the man and both of them fell to the ground.

She smelled the alcohol and she almost threw up. She wiped her chin off with her hands.

The smell of alcohol soon disappeared, and Elly was very happy that Alex arrived.

His eyes were full of anger. He took the man's collar and hit him hard in the stomach. He shouted out. "What kind of game are you playing?"

Men are brash by nature and dared to maltreat Elly only when she is alone. The man almost begged when he got beaten. "I didn't do anything! I didn't touch her. It's a misunderstanding. I just want to take her home."

Elly didn't want to make a fuss. She hurriedly took Alex by the hand and shook her head. "Don't hurt him. He didn't do anything to me. I'm fine."

Alex turned his eyes, and threw the man on the ground and kicked him into his stomach.

The man rolled up in pain. He walked back to his car, and drove away.

Alex's face was still angry, recalling the scene of a strange man pressing on Elly. His blood boiled again because of anger. He turned around with a bad temper.

"Didn't I tell you to stay where you are?" He snapped at her.

When he saw Elly, who was wearing thin clothes, Alex's first reaction was to take off his coat and put it around her, and his anger on his face suddenly disappeared.

The warmth of his coat enveloped her cold body. She raised her head and smiled gently and said, "It's a good thing you got here in time."

He always came just in time to keep her out of trouble.

Back in the car, Alex's face turned calmly. "Aren't you in the hospital? How did you get here? What happened?" He asked.

"Are you still mad at me?" Elly asked him curiously. "You may still be mad at me for yesterday, because of my anger for no reason, don't you?"

"If I had blamed you, I wouldn't have come here to pick you up." Alex opened the door, and rudely pushed her into the passenger seat. He turned around and sat in the driver's seat.

He closed the door, and Alex said slowly. "I know John is important to you. These past few years, he has taken care of you, and you trust him a lot. I understand that, but I suggest that you should stay away from him. He is not what you think."

"He is somewhat connected with Emily. I have not yet proved that, but he is a bad person."

"You don't have to argue with me." Elly said softly. Elly was still unrepentant. Alex had no choice but to do what she asked. "If John and Emily were connected, it doesn't make any sense."

"Then, what can you say about the woman who was hired by Emily?" He asked.

"Emily hired that crazy woman?" Elly stared and stammered.

"Why would Emily hire someone to follow you around? And the woman said that we were husband and wife."

Elly kept her mouth shut and dared not to speak. Alex's fierce eyes stared her coldly.

"Would you rather trust strangers than me? You think I can have sex with all kinds of people, don't you?" Alex couldn't help and yelled at her. "I have never seen that woman before. She looks crazy, or just pretending to be crazy. The police have confirmed that."

Elly was shocked. She didn't expect that a woman's love and painful eyes can be faked.

"I won't force you to believe me. But remember, Emily hired that crazy woman who tried to kill you, and John contacted Emily when that incident happened. Think to yourself about the truth." Alex warned for the last time.

The atmosphere in the car became silent.

The message in his words were hard to accept, but Elly felt much more comfortable. It's not clear whether she has much more emotional stability because she knew that the woman has nothing to do with him, or because the contradiction between her and him has been resolved.

Alex brought Elly back to the Hargreaves Family. As soon as she entered the door, her Housekeeper Geno came forward to greet her. "Miss Elly, you're back at last. You're not home for days, the Young Master misses you very much."

When she saw Housekeeper Geno, she guessed that when she was in the hospital, their housekeeper Geno also came back from their old villa to take care of Kitten.

After she heard the cordial greetings, Elly felt that she could go home. She smiled from the bottom of her heart. "I missed you, too." She suddenly said to housekeeper Geno.

Alex was jealous when he saw her smiling at the Housekeeper. He saved her. She didn't even laugh or smiled.

He looked at the butler coldly and scolded him. "What are you two talking about? It's past midnight, is Kitten asleep already?"

Housekeeper Geno knew what the master was thinking so he just bowed his head and laughed in silence.

When she saw the butler was being scolded, Elly turned and looked directly at Alex. "I asked Housekeeper Geno to help me pack. I'm moving out of your house." She reasoned out.

"Have you forgotten what I said? Never mention about leaving the Boss." Alex approached her step by step he bent down, and slowly put down the words. "You can't leave me."
