Chapter 72: Chapter 72

Chapter 74: What can you give her?

"Well, if you asked me out, just to tell me this, I regretted coming here!"

Elly refused without thinking, and a glimmer of disappointment came into view. In her mind, John Elliot had never been a person who evaded responsibility.

"You may have no feelings for Sarah Olsen. Although you have signed a love contract, in everyone's eyes, you two have been identified as a couple. Now that you say you want to come back to me, what face do you want me to use to face Sarah Olsen? Have you considered her honor?"

Elly's thoughtfulness made John's throat became unresponsive.

But what Elly was most concerned about was what others would think of John Elliot. She was afraid that she would continue to be his burden. She sighed.

"You don't have to worry about me. I can take care of myself."

She stood up and ended the story. "Stop calling me!"

"Where do you live now, Elly?" John came after him in a hurry and asked anxiously. "I won't bother you, as long as I'm allowed to live next to you. Only when we live in the same place can I really guarantee your safety."

She was disgusted by John's problems. She didn't want to say anything nice. She was full of lies. "The Shepherd"

As soon as he heard the two words, John's face changed, black and angry, and he pulled her by the wrist. "Go back and pack. Come with me!"

His rudeness almost made her fell. She felt severe pain on her wrist, Elly pleaded in a low voice. "Okay, you're hurting me."

John was blinded by anger, didn't listen to her, and pulled her out of the car with all her strength.

A shadow stood in the way, and a fierce voice issued an order. "Let him go!"

Alex didn't care about John's dark face. He went to Elly's arm and looked sadly at her red wrists.

John Elliot could not control his emotions and raised his fist at him. Alex grabbed her and twisted her arm. "Elly came here. I hope you are satisfied with how sad she is."

John looked into her frightened eyes, surprised he let go of her hand, took two steps back, and looked very lonely.

"We should talk." Alex continued to give orders to John.

Surprised, Elly looked at Alex and wondered what he wanted to talk to John about.

"All in all, this is between me and the substitute, not you! You don't have to participate!" She tried to stop Alex but heard John's answer.

"Yes!" When John Elliot finished, he turned to charge at Elly. "You go back first. I'll arrange for you to move out."

Elly panicked when he heard that he was still obsessed with moving things. "You're afraid your lies will be exposed."

Alex will not humiliate himself and command her ruthlessly. "Have you forgotten today's assignment? Alex's crucifixion is still waiting at home."

He deliberately emphasized the word "home", so that John's psychological state would show an explosive trend.

After the two men were driven away at the same time, Elly swallowed what he had to say, couldn't bear to look at them, and left.

Alex walked into the bar, got very drunk, went straight to John and Elly, and held out his hand to challenge. "Master Elliot, please have a seat."

John sat down with a cold face, without the slightest expression of friendliness.

"I hear Elly lives with you now?" John frankly said, "I won't let her cause you any trouble. I'll take her away soon."

"Take her away?" Alex giggled in his throat and mocked him. "What if I don't agree?"

John frowned and used the sound of steel bar. "Do you have the right to do so without permission? She has nothing to do with you!"

"She has nothing to do with you! Did Master Elliot forget that you broke up? Does the ex-boyfriend have the right to manage his ex-girlfriend now?" Alex lashed out, and when he saw that John Elliot did not respond, he immediately raised the card. "I already know the identity of Elly. She is not dead yet. God has given me a chance to make amends for my crimes. "I won't let go!"

John's eyebrows frowned so tightly that he did not expect that Alex had found out the identity of Elly so quickly. He underestimated Alex's ability.

John Elliot didn't have to pretend, he gazed and said to Alex helplessly. "If I were you, I wouldn't appear in front of her again. If it hadn't been for you, she would have given birth to Maverick and wanted to be safe and didn't have to run away. If she had not been chased by you and let her flee to the accident road, she would not have been disfigured and would not have lost her memory." John said.

John's every word was like a cut in Alex's heart. He sat there; his body motionless.

It had been three years, but when he thought of Madeline Russel at that time, John still hated what Alex had done. John's voice grew louder and louder, and so did the hatred in it.

"Have you ever thought about how painful it would be if one day she regained her memory and knew that the person around her was the one who had been hurting her?"

Seeing that Alex did not say a word, John was unconcerned. "Mr. Alex, have you ever thought about her feeling?"

Alex raised his eyes, gazed into John's angry eyes, and said bluntly. "If Elly restored her memory and she both hated and wanted to revenge, I accept all the punishment and am willing to pay the price for being with her."

"Because of the crimes you have committed against Madeline Russel, how credible are your words?" John reveals the truth. "I just want to make it up to her so that my conscience won't feel so guilty."

"Alex doesn't need to be trusted. She hates you, say it confidently. I can best bring happiness and peace to Elly. What about you? Master John, who can't even control his own marriage, what qualifications do you have compared with me?"

With these words, Alex took out a red card and pushed it to John. I wish Master a happy engagement!

John stared in astonishment at the invitation on the table, the huge gilded typeface, his head so empty that even Alex stood up and left without recognizing it.

With trembling hands, he opened an invitation with John and Sarah Olsen's name printed on it, next month.

Her ears rang and John's five fingers clenched her fists. This time, her measures were too big.

He hurriedly called Sarah Olsen and found that her side had become a mess.

Sarah Olsen's voice was obviously panicked.

"I'm sorry, I don't know how it happened. I've made it very clear. I only got the news of the engagement an hour ago."

John listened to Sarah Olen's explanation of apology, John Elliot felt guilty about her. "Don't worry, I know it's none of your business. I didn't mean to blame you. How are you doing?"

Sarah Olsen exhaled a sneeze and confessed sincerely. "I just had a fight with my parents. The two are having a cold war with me in the living room. Don't worry, I'll explain it to you."

Before John Elliot could answer, Sarah Olsen, hung up the phone. Although Sarah Olsen wanted to be comfortable, John Elliot still heard her troubles in her voice.

He knew he was unfair to Sarah Olsen, but he had to call off the engagement.

The eyes were always warm, but now they aroused a cold determination, and John knew what to do next.
