At the hotel, John was in the room and he asked about why Elly's itinerary that day became unhappily. Elly honestly explained everything, but automatically concealed that Alex carried her. Even though Elly thought that he was too suspicious, she obediently nodded. The next day, she went to work as usual, and Elly had the chance to understand the reason of John's warning.

As soon as she got out of the elevator, many people looked at her unusually, which made her feel quite uneasy. Entering the office, colleagues simultaneously raised their heads to look at her, almost all of their eyes were panicking in fear of something. Before Elly could open her mouth to ask for the reason, a folder of documents was thrown onto her desk.

Adela looked at her angrily, her voice no longer as sweet as usual. "Elly, bring these documents to Alex's office." Elly took a glance at the document's name, asked in amazement. "Isn't this the file you're in charge of? Why do you tell me to bring it in? "

"You are good at pretending! I've been fired, all of my responsibilities, from now on, are taken over by you. "

"Fired? Why?" She shouted in surprise, she saw everyone around raising their heads, then covered their mouths and whispered.

"Adela, what's the matter? We were all good yesterday, right? I didn't know you were fired."

Adela stopped looking at her, hurriedly packed up her things from the table into a paper box. Adela's hateful attitude and her colleagues' unusual eyes, Elly had understood where all of this came from. Everyone was working and sometimes secretly looking at her, which made her face flush with embarrassment, wanted to justify but was unable to confess.

Finally, she decided to go to Alex's office, maybe he had a faulty investigation. This was just a sudden incident, but why everyone around was always aiming to hurt her.

"Come in." Alex said with cold voice and did not look up. He constantly flipped through the documents; his serious working face created a very tensed atmosphere.

"Speak!" He shouted because the person who entered the room was still silent, quickly signed on the paper.

Elly licked her lips nervously and said softly. "Mr. Hargreaves, my lost yesterday was a surprise, because I was stupidly unable to find my way back. It isn't a trap of someone else, can you reconsider the firing of Adela? " Having heard the voice, Alex realized who it was, he silently raised his head to listen to her.
