Chapter 46 The one who my dad and I love

The sound of shoes treading on the living room floor, Emily lifted her head from her teacup and saw Alex came close to her with his dark face.

Alex said in a cold way. "You went to my company?"

"Ah, yeah." Emily answered gently, did not hide anything. "I met your little deputy secretary, and I asked her for some drinks, like coffee."

Alex frowned and was shocked because Emily said the truth. "What did you say to Elly?"

After Elly left the room, Alex felt something strange. Especially when Elly talked about Alex's girlfriend. Leon secretary had investigated. He showed Alex the camera in the company's lobby. The camera record clearly showed that Emily blocked Elly's way and they left together.

Emily had prepared already. She said with a sweet voice and a sad

face. "The scandal of you and your little deputy secretary has spread.

I don't want this thing to demolish your reputation. I'm doing the thing that a careful girlfriend would do to protect her boyfriend."

Emily's cup of tea fell and was left broken on the ground.

Alex came closer, his hands held Emily's chin, said angrily. "Who gives

you the right to do things for my reputation?"

Emily cried because of the pain. However, it could not stop her from saying the evil words "It is pointless for you to protect her. You are not her type.

She loves a man with a warm heart."

Alex became angrier with a grungy face. Emily didn't care about

that face. "Elly will leave you soon. If I help John Elliot with the medical

problems, she will leave for sure."

Emily screamed loudly. "She has chosen John Elliot. A man with nothing. She would rather choose a man with nothing than you, do you still want to protect her? The woman that hates you the most?"

With his evil eyes, Alex grabbed Emily's hair and pulled it. He

came closer and made it clear. "That's my thing. It's none of your business."

Alex didn't care about Emily's pain. He threw Emily on the sofa and left.

Alex suddenly saw a shadow quickly ran back to its room, Alex

frowned, went to Kitten's room. He opened the door, looked around the room. There's no one. "Kitten?"

No one answered. Alex pretended to close the door. Right after that.

shyly voice appeared "Kitten isn't here."

Alex tried not to laugh, then he went inside "Not sleeping this time yet?"

Kitten climbed up, hugged his crocodile plushy, said faithfully "You said you hate liars. Especially kids."

Alex's eyes became gentle, he touched his son's head." What have you heard?"

Realized that he won't be punished for hearing others, Kitten bit his lips, then replied. "Dad, I'm sorry, I know I should not have been standing there hearing you two..."

"You are a good boy; you know your mistake. I won't punish you for that."

"You will love me if I'm a good boy?" Knowing there will be no punishment, Kitten said louder.

"Of course, I will, and I always do."

"Then, do you like Auntie Emily?"

Alex laughed, flicked his son's forehead.  He didn't realize he smiled more than before. "Why are you asking this? Is something happening?"

"I saw it. You two always have fights and arguments. You definitely do not like her."

"It's an adult stuff, it's complicated. You will understand when you grow up."

Kitten hated that part the most, "understand when you grow up." He asked. "If both of us do not like Auntie Emily, why don't you find another Auntie for me? Someone that we both love?"

"Oh, an amazing idea, son. I will consider it." A woman went on Alex's heart. Alex looked down, what dangerous eyes! He knew he needed more pushes.

The next day, Elly was awakened by the ringing of the phone. As soon as she saw the name flashing on the screen, Elly immediately sat up and answered the phone in a sullen voice.

"Yes, President Hargreaves?"

Alex said in a serious way, of course on purpose. "You forgot the company's picnic today? Are you still sleeping? At this time? What a lazy girl!"

She muttered in disgust. "I didn't register. I am not going. Haven't you received the list yet, President Hargreaves?"

"I'm down here. I'm at your hotel."

He blocked Elly; Alex ordered. "Get down now!"

"I'm not going!"

"If you won't listen to your boss, I will have your salary deducted."

Alex stopped at a bakery. He threw the wallet. Elly caught it. He commanded. "Hurry up and buy some cakes. They are already waiting."

Elly said nothing and left the car. 5 minutes later, she came back with two boxes of cake. She didn't realize Alex looked at her with his loving eyes while she paid attention to those sweets."

In his memory about Madeline, she loved this bakery. Alex believed that habits and tastes are the things that never change in a person.

"I do not like this cake." Alex gave Elly his box. Elly pouted to accept the cake, in a cunning laugh. These two cakes she chose was according to her preferences. Making him starve was Elly's plan for waking her up so early.

Alex drove straight to the campsite, did not return to the company and be gathered with everyone. Anyway, he did not come to pick her up to let her sit with others on a common bus.

There were many gazes on Elly as she got off from Alex's car. She cried silently, thinking that she could never explain this.

The car was parked in the suburbs with beautiful scenery and fresh air. After everyone decided on a picnic spot, they went fishing and sightseeing.

As soon as they arrived, Elly immediately threw away her bad-tempered boss, and she mixed up with everyone. She still has not forgotten her promise to Emily which is to stay away from Alex.

She was very enthusiastic to help colleagues who were preparing for the picnic. People also gradually opened their hearts to Elly.

Seeing her integrate very quickly, Alex tried to hold back his mouth that wanted to raise it into a smile, and continued to be noble, indifferently sitting on the large rock in the distance.

"Elly, can you take me some woods? I think we do not have enough." Her colleague - Adela asked Elly.
