Chapter 288 Jealousy and a dress

Elly's eyes were not on Alex' hands. She stared at the clothes on Prosperity's body. She immediately lost her appetite.

Alex helped Prosperity to the door of the restaurant and saw Elly standing near Nicholas. He walked unhappily to her, bowed his head and kissed her forehead. He said fondly. "How long have you been here? Why is everyone standing here?"

"Nicholas and his companion have just arrived and I happened to meet them here." Elly responded to his kiss with a gentle smile. She was usually ashamed to be intimate with Alex outside their house but she didn't know why she dared to let him hug her today.

"Prosperity, what happened to your leg?"

"I had trouble on the road but luckily Alex saw me and I was rescued." Prosperity stood a little askew and smiled sadly. "It's just a sprained ankle. I'm okay."

"If Miss Prosperity doesn't mind, let me check your ankle." Nicholas interrupted. It was like he's saying that he existed.

Prosperity saw his challenging eyes and secretly cursed him in her heart but she calmly shook her head and refused. "Thank you, but no, it will be over tomorrow. Let's go in and don't stand here. Let us not interfere with the business of the restaurant. " Prosperity said.

Elly took the initiative to help Prosperity into the reserved private room. She didn't want any woman to touch Alex, even a friend.

The waiter took turns to bring the food. Prosperity picked up her glass and stood up. Her voice was very soft.

"I'd like to drink this glass of wine to thank Alex and Elly for taking care of me in the past. I don't know what terrible things I should have been through without the two of you."

Elly raised her glass and stared at Prosperity. She saw her turn around and smile at Nicholas, but the light in her eyes was very cold.

"I would also like to thank Dr. Nicholas for his help and encouragement during hospitalization."

Everyone raised their glasses in a different mood.

Nicholas looked at Prosperity and asked slowly. "Does Miss Prosperity still have headaches or nightmares? I know a great psychiatrist, and I can introduce you to someone I know."

Elly never told Alex about Nicholas' visit. She felt that she could understand his doubts about Prosperity. After all, he and Prosperity were close friends once. Although, she knew she would not be able to wrongly accuse her of Nicholas' words alone.

Because of this, Alex' attitude towards Prosperity was very ordinary, but for Nicholas, he would always sharply oppose her.

As she thought of this, Elly glanced at Prosperity who sat opposite her and thought she was too beautiful. A little jealousy rose in her heart and Elly stood up. She asked permission to wash her hands.

"Dr. Nicholas, you are used to autopsies and corpses with a scalpel. You can bring up this matter calmly at the dinner table, but Elly is a weak girl and you are frightening her by saying that." Prosperity looked at Nicholas strangely.

Alex put the freshly peeled shrimp into Elly's bowl, wiped his hands and stood up. "I'll go see her."

Elly put her hands on the sink, looked at the woman in the mirror and sighed. "Since when did you start to be jealous of her? There must be a misunderstanding. Alex won't betray you."

Elly did not get the answer, so she bit her lips and stared at her eyes.

"You are also the mother of a six-year-old child, why not be smarter? You have to trust him."

Elly's monologue was interrupted by a low laughter and she turned her head and looked at the door hurriedly.

Alex stood on the wall with his hands on his chest and the corners of his mouth bent upwards as if he was enjoying an interesting play. "Keep doing what you're doing, don't be shy, treat me like air."

"This is the ladies' room. How dare you come in?" She was so shy that she wanted to dig a hole and bury herself. "You! Get out!"

He quickly blocked her escape route, he forced her to the sink. His hands held her arms.

"If I did not come in and I haven't heard you talk to yourself, how can I enjoy this happiness? Huh?"

Alex groaned in pain and watched helplessly as she stretched her leg into his chin and huddled on his shoulder.

Elly blinked and babbled. "You did something wrong and bullied me."

"What did I do wrong?

"If you can't give me a convincing reason, you won't sleep with me tonight." Elly said.

"Do you have any explanation why you let Prosperity wore that dress tonight?"

Elly took out her cell phone and opened the photo he sent her before he arrived at The Rendezvous place. "You said you had a present for me, and you let another woman wear it?"

Her sarcastic voice was sad and the more she spoke, the more unhappy she became. Her eyes glared, but there was an ominous meaning in Alex eyes. "Are you trying to seduce me?"

"Alex?" Elly didn't have time to be surprised. He gnawed her mouth and didn't release it until it was swollen. He carried her to the sink and kissed her cheek, ear beads and delicate neck with his lips.

"Prosperity lost her handbag on the way here. Because her clothes were torn, I didn't want to take her to the fashion store, so I let her change into that dress. He looked at the red kiss marks on her neck and said in a sinister voice. "All of me belongs to you. What are you jealous of?"

Elly was flattered by his words and her jealous heart returned to normal. "We should go back to our table. If we are away for too long, they will get suspicious."

"What do you suspect?" He lifted her up and tried to lick the corners of her mouth.

Elly hit him hard in the chest. An idea popped in her mind, she suddenly raised her foot and blew into his ear, deliberately whispering seductively. "They will think I ate you in the bathroom."

When she had finished speaking, she giggled and ran out of the toilet. She knew that she would not be able stand these obscene invitations after she spent enough time with Alex.

In the dining table they booked, Prosperity glanced at Nicholas full of malice. "Did you really have to aim at me deliberately in front of Mr. Alex?"

"I don't understand what Ms. Prosperity is talking about." Nicholas swallowed his food and was dismissive of her provocation.

"Your attitude will only put yourself in danger. Remember, my position can help you save your life."

"OK, thank you, Miss Prosperity! But maybe then, you won't have a chance to prove that you're a good person."

Prosperity was angry, She angrily chewed on her food. She vented her anger on the wine glass, poured additional wine herself after finishing the first glass.

"Prosperity, you've just recovered. Don't drink too much." She reminded Prosperity. As soon as Elly returned to the room, she saw that half of the bottle had been washed away. She tried to stop Prosperity.

"Don't worry. I just want to congratulate Dr. Nicholas."

"Congratulations for what?" Elly sat in her chair and asked in surprise.

The one who answered the question was Alex who just pushed the door open. "Congratulations to Dr. Nicholas on the upcoming renovation of the K national repair industry. He would be ready to compete for the position of vice presidency in the hospital at 7:00 pm.

She looked at Alex' happy expression and Prosperity secretly cursed in her heart. That issue was decided only yesterday. Why did the Alex knew? He did it secretly to be on the safe side, and now Prosperity knew his motives.

After dinner, Elly congratulated him heartily. But, the next morning, there was a rumor in the media that Nicholas was going abroad and he was at the risk of being suspended.

It was her assistant. Her assistant showed Elly the news as soon as she arrived in the design room.

Most of the words on the front page were shocking in the eyes of Elly.

Elly, Alex' fiancée grabbed the newspaper with two hands. The gypsy is Dr. Nicholas, who had a crush on Elly since he was a child.
