Elly closed her eyes because of dizziness, and her body became weak, Alex help her to lay down. He looked at her sadly, and his face was pale as if there was no blood. He felt the pain tore his body. His body was already weak and didn't able to bear it like a man.

"Your hand is trembling into your belly, you should lie down and rest because you are overworked." Elly held his hand carefully and put it on her belly, and that touched he felt a cold all over his body.

Because of the anaesthesia, Elly could not feel her lower abdomen, but she sensed a death in her heart that made her miserable and burst into tears.

"My son..." Finally, the sound of hiccups came out of her throat. Elly put her head down, and hugged Alex stomach and cried silently.

Alex's shirt got wet because of Elly's tears. Her shoulders trembled with remorse, her heart ached with pain, and her voice became weak.

"It's my fault, I didn't protect our baby. I'm sorry. Sorry"

Alex was so miserable by her sad voice that he took her in his arms and coaxed her. "It's not your fault, Elly."

He was no different from her in the pain of losing a child, but now Elly was his top priority. Her tears make her broke his heart.

"Our baby don't have any fate with us. Don't blame yourself. In the future, you and I will have more healthy and lovely children. If she hears you crying, she would worry about leaving."

She looked up at him with hope in her eyes. "Our baby will come back to us, won't she? She's going to be my baby again, isn't she?"

She was shocked by the commotion outside.

Emily knelt straight down in front of the door, she was pale, and she was pushing the nurse's hand. "I will kneel here until she wakes up, every hour thank you for your concern."

"Emily what are you doing?" Emily heard a familiar voice, she immediately turned around and was ecstatic. "Elly, are you awake?"

"Nurse, what happened to her?" Elly asked anxiously.

The nurse lifted Emily's body and she already knew it why she fell without examination. "Her blood pressure is low."

"Her blood pressure is perfectly normal, why does her blood pressure drop?"

The nurse turned her eyes over Alex's cold face and his weak wife, Elly was held in his arms, and then sincerely said the fair words.

"Although I don't know what she did wrong, she knelt here all day without eating or drinking. She really sincerely apologized. Stop torturing her."

Alex put her on the bed, and removed her slippers. He stuffed her legs into the blanket and poured a warm water and gave it her hand. All the acts of care were natural, and to her shame, she acted so arrogantly and she was opinionated. After all, he didn't know the truth when she fell down the stairs, and Emily knelt down because she thought it was her fault.

After a moment of silence, Emily took the initiative to speak. "I'm sorry! I shouldn't blame you for something ridiculous. Don't be angry at me."

Alex shook his head. "I'm not angry."

"Alex, your kind and weak character has not changed for so many years. I know you always forgive me." Her moaning laughter resounded throughout the room. "Alex, even if you make me pay, the woman in your heart will defend me." Emily said to herself.

"Alex will be mine sooner or later." She said to herself.
