Chapter 221: Chapter 221
Chapter 223 Good aunt, I will forgive you
Kitten jumped up. He hid behind the sofa, poked out his face, and looked at Emily with vigilance.
Elly was shocked and came over to Kitten to ask. "Baby, what's the matter with you? Why don't you say hello to Aunt Emily?"
He heard his mother's voice, he suddenly realized that he gathered his fear into his heart. He ran to Elly safely, and stretched out his hands to protect her. "Don't hurt my mom! What is the witch aunt doing here? I told our neighbor Mr. Geno that I will borrow their dog to bite the enemy."
Elly and Emily was surprised by what Kitten just said.
Elly sat down, pulled him into her arms and said at hand. "Kitten, Aunt Emily is not a witch. I was not hurt. You misunderstood Aunt Emily. Aunt Emily is my sister. Don't hate your aunt."
Kitten frowned at his mother and refused to accept what she said.
Emily looked at Kitten complicatedly. He was no longer the little child in her hand, but now he was taller than before, his face was a little childish, and his voice was full of thorns. She approached cautiously, squatted down and asked carefully.
"Is Kitten afraid of his aunt?"
The baby's mouth was soft before he whispered, "In order to protect my mother, I'm no longer afraid."
"I won't hurt your Mama Elly, I promise." Emily smiled from ear to ear. She used to be cruel to his child, and her remorse was sincere.
"Oh, honey, I want to apologize to you. In the past, I didn't get along well with you because I was mean that I hurt you. I'm sorry, I was wrong. I hope you give me a chance to correct my mistakes."
Kitten solemnly apologized to Emily. He turned around and saw Elly was smiling and nodding in encouragement. He frowned, as he was thinking of the truth.
"If you obediently don't hurt my mother, I will try my best to forgive you. This wound in my heart, I will forget it just don't hurt my mom." Kitten stretched out his two small arm that had a long scars above it. "It doesn't hurt anymore. I'm a man who won't pick a weak girl. Good aunt, I'll forgive you."
Elly held her son in her arms and kissed his forehead. She was avoiding the scar on his hand.
Emily wiped his tears and always promised to change.
"What happened in the past, is in the past, but the scar is still there." Even if Kitten grew up year after year, the memory of a witch aunt in his childhood was still an undeniable fact.
Emily can only find her favor step by step. She sat on the carpet and played cars with Kitten.
Elly looked at the two them with a smile, and then she decided to go out and call Alex.
"Don't you blame me for taking her back to the house?" After she explained the situation of Emily in detail, Elly asked nervously.
"I am the head of the Hargreaves's house, and I will arrange everything at home." Alex was satisfied with her question. "I'll call Peter. If he knew his wife was being treated as a servant, he would arrange it himself."
"No! Peter doesn't know what Ms. Minda did to Emily behind his back. It's none of our business. Let Emily make it clear for herself and let him find out for himself."
Elly had some malicious hindrance in her heart. 'You think Peter can't take care of his wife. He needs to be punished."
Alex was persuaded by her to agree to her arrangement. He hung up and worked overtime until the evening.
Under the arrangement of Elly, Emily moved into the Hargreaves family, and the family treated her with great respect and courtesy. This makes Emily felt that she was a guest, no more than that.
Alex had just finished his work in the middle of the night, and when he got back to Hargreaves's house, only the housekeeper Geno was awake.
"Would you like a midnight snack, sir?" Housekeeper Geno was concerned about Alex's health.
"No, you go and have a rest." Alex shook his head and went to the living room that surprised the housekeeper.
"Are you sleeping in the living room tonight?"
"I'm afraid the noise will wake Elly." Alex made a silent gesture and asked in a low voice. "Did she eat a lot this dinner today? What are the symptoms of her morning sickness? Was Kitten naughty earlier?
Housekeeper Geno reported the problem in detail and was secretly glad that Elly had a good husband.
When she woke up the next morning, Elly was surprised to find that no one around her was holding her to sleep as usual. Downstairs, she saw his coat hanged on the shelf and asked the housekeeper in surprise. "Did he come home late night?
"Well, the boss was afraid of disturbing your sleep, so he went to sleep in the living room."
As soon as the housekeeper Geno finished his words, Alex walked haggard down the stairs with a tired expression indicating that he did not have a good rest last night.
"When time did you get home? Are you busy at work? Is there anything I can do to help?" Elly came over and looked at him sadly. She always wanted to wait for him to come home and sleep beside her to bed at night, but she couldn't sleep well because she was pregnant.
Alex walked up until the last step, he put his hands behind her, gently put his arms around her waist. He bowed his head and kissed her forehead, eyelids and her pointed nose. He bite his bored lips, and then answered. "I'm afraid of scaring our girls."
She pushed his hand away and touch her belly and opened her lips and said, "Who said it was a girl? I want a boy."
"I want a lovely princess like you. If Kitten likes his younger sister, we will have another child next year and it will be a boy." Alex caress her cheek and continued to kiss her lips.
His words made her face blushed and turned shyly, but he stubbornly violated her lips and deepened his kiss.
Housekeeper Geno started to leave, because of what he saw, the two pigeons started to get intimate.
When Emily walked out of the room, she saw that scene, which made her blushed. She stopped for a few seconds, and did not come forward and break into the door.
Emily was seen by Elly as soon as she turned her waist, she was surrounded Alex. So she pushed him away and hit him in his arms. "Emily, you are awake. Have breakfast with us."
Emily had no choice but to go down to the living room.
"Did you sleep well last night?" She was welcome with that question by Elly.
"Good, thanks." Emily's answer was understated, but her eyes deftly avoided Alex's direct gaze. At the bottom of her heart, she wanted to give up that hopeless feelings of her, but when she saw Alex, her heart was still beating, and this reason could not be completely controlled.
Emily knew that Elly was good to her, so she tried her best to treat Alex as friend as much as she could. Although she still loves him deeply, she believes it would be over in the near future.
Emily's change of course was enough to satisfy Alex. He sighed and told Elly that when he took her to work, Emily had really changed.
In Hargreaves's, in the highest floor of the building, Alex's office, Alex carefully examined the documents sent by Secretary Gerald. He put down the last signed paper, he looked at Gerald and saw him staring blankly at some asshole spot in the room. Obviously, his body had been abandoned by his soul.
When Alex called for the second time, Gerald was out of his mind. He looked at pushing the bag in front of him. Gerald bowed his head and apologized for his carelessness.
"Is there anything that can embarrass our old secretary?"
Secretary Gerald's effortless nickname, he told the truth. "I wonder, will a man's behavior impress a girl?"
"You should ask me first before you sit and think alone." Alex said in an arrogant tone. "But anyway, I have two children and I have more experience being married than being single men."
Gerald's mouth twitched and bowed his head for advice. After all, the thickness of his boss's face was incomparable.
Under Alex's grand idea, Linda's workload was reduced because of rumors that afternoon. When she didn't come to the company early, she received a call from Secretary Gerald.
"What happened?"
"Looked out of the window."
"Why?" Linda turned to look out of the window and asked hurriedly. "What's new besides clouds?"
"Go to the window and look down."
She frowned at the command, but she went to the window with doubt and poked her head out of curiosity. "The scene in front of you will schock you."
Gerald stood in the middle of a red heart, with a bouquet of rose in his hand. He was surrounded by a little girl about six or seven years old, with the shadow of hearts that was hanging under the red rose on his hands and feet.
The surroundings were surrounded by crowded people on the pedestrians, and they were taking pictures with their mobile phones. Before she could panic, she observe what he was wearing, a serious black suit and he was holding a microphone with loudspeaker.
"Linda, I love you!"
Linda's heart beat faster, her voice trembled as she spoke. She said hoarsely to her mobile phone. "You will kill me. What's this?"
Secretary Gerald did not answer her, he raised his voice proudly and pressed every word. "Linda, I love you! Linda, I love you."
There were more people, as they watched Gerald in the street. Gerald stood in the center, he was sweating, but his skills did not change his face in front of the people, and his voice did not tremble or stumble, but became more and more intense and terrible.
Linda begged him on the phone. "If you don't stop, I'll kill you."
However, Gerald put his phone in a bag and said to her that he was "completely deaf".
'Creak.' A loud noise panicked the whole audience, and balloons with roses flew into the air one by one, so that the romantic atmosphere was pushed to the best part. Cheered from people that surrounded Gerald and the balloons continuously flew through the sky.
Linda couldn't take her eyes off the sunny rose balloon. Her face was red and her heart was beating faster.
The little girl, that dressed in a white princess dress after releasing the balloon, she was picked up by a motorcade. The rose reflects the shape of the heart and was taken directly to the house where Linda lives by and there had a large number of people. The crowd quickly vanished.
Linda bit her lip and watched Gerald wave to her, then rushed into the door of the house.
After a while, the tiny doorbell rang. Although she didn't want to, Linda opened the door.
"Linda, I'll be responsible for you." Gerald took out a red rose with a ribbon tied to the butterfly's wings.
"No need."
Gerald took her by the hand, put the flowers in, and forced her to grab it. His voice was straight and firm. "Well, then you have to take care of my life."
Linda was afraid to throw the flowers out, when she noticed that behind Gerald, the whole corridor in front of the door was filled with red rose petals. She stammered.
"Do you have so much money and didn't know where place to spend it? Why are you doing this? And you hired a white dress fairy to make rose balloons."
"There are a total of 5201314 flowers that you wasted." Gerald interrupted her, to say it simply. "I love you all my life."
Linda felt the shock, she was holding flowers in her hand.
"I assure you, I only love you in this life. Make me happy every day. Linda, give me a chance to get into your heart, okay?"
Her eyes flushed with emotion and she insisted on not letting her tears fall. She had a smile on her face. "I can get this far. Do I refuse you to be the mistress of evil?"
Gerald was happy to hint to her that he would lift her up and walk around in the middle of red rose petals. Linda's laughter resounded through the hall.
Both of them knew that Linda had already accepted Gerald. What she was waiting for was only a confession of love, and there was no need to shine as brilliantly as she did today.
After the same day, with the assistance of Secretary Gerald, the tide of public opinion quickly subsided, and a lot of unsalable work began to start. Linda quickly continued to contribute to the cause.
Since she learned to fall in love, Linda's personality had changed a lot. She was no longer so cold and strict, and the artists and personal assistants under her management had felt it.
"Ms. Linda was becoming gentler to everyone. Was it because she misses them so much that she knew how to cherish it?" Said by the employee
"Maybe public opinion won't let her go in the end?"
"I think because of someone's heroic confession."
They were talking behind Linda's back, they didn't realize that she had laughed more recently than before.
Immersed in love, Linda did not realize the danger of squinting eyes at her.
