"After the accident, I was lucky to be treated by Dr. Elliot and sent abroad for treatment. I suffered a head injury and lost my memory, but I escaped death."

Elly outlined the reasons for her facial surgery and name change, and misunderstandings were understated.

"I'm sorry to hear that Dr. Elliot died in a car accident." Mrs. Hargreaves said regretfully, her voice was full of gratitude.

As Elly watched Mrs. Hargreaves scold Alex, she lightened his hand and winked.

Mrs. Hargreaves was staring at him. "I didn't hear the sincerity of what you said."

Kitten looked at the adults curiously. Seeing that everyone were happy, he turned to Elly for help. Alex hesitated and reminded Mrs. Hargreaves in a low voice. "Mom, Kitten is still here."

"That's right, he's here. The more that you have to be honest and set a good example for him."

"I can't prove it this time. I can only compromise and apologize sincerely again. Mom, I was wrong. I shouldn't have lied to you on purpose."

"You're relieved about my wife now, aren't you? When will you go back to dad?" She stopped smiling, waited for the rest to settle down, and then asked questions.

"I've made up my mind. I want to attend your wedding and come back."

"What?" Elly and Alex could not believe, because they were not ready yet.

Mrs. Hargreaves seriously imagined the future. The couple would get married at the end of the month, work hard and give their mother a granddaughter next year. Because she said she's still young and energetic, and could take care of their child.

"Looking for your sister? Are you going to have a sister to play with?" Eyes sat next to Kitten, staring at Elly's tummy to see where the baby was.

Elly had no plan of getting married at that time, and she hesitated to speak. Seeing that she was hesitant, Alex deliberately spoke first. "Mom, it's not that we don't want to get married yet, but this is not the right time to get married."

"What's wrong with getting married next month?" Mrs. Hargreaves disagreed.

"Mom, you know the company is very busy right now. And I don't have the luxury to hang around with you. I'm in a big trouble but remember that I'm old enough to handle things on my own." Mrs. Hargreaves looked at him solemnly as he emphasized every word.

"Look, if you mistreated my daughter-in-law, I'll go back and hit you in the leg." She warned.

"Don't let Elly get away. And don't hurt her."

"There are many people around us, who dared to betray her." Alex looked at Elly as he said those words, looking at her blushed cheeks.

Elly smiled with warmth in her heart.

As the watched Mrs. Hargreaves sat in the car and left the villa gate, Alex put his arm around her shoulder and said jealously. "Well, now you've got the hearts of all the young and old in my family."

As soon as he finished speaking, she punched him lightly in the chest, and her eyes flashed away. "Just kidding!"

"Your face is wrinkled. Are you going to kill your husband?"

As they sent Kitten to school, he asked her happily when they were almost there. "Mom, there's a show at school tomorrow, and I have a part, too. Please come and watch me perform, will you?

"Theater and Drama?" Elly was surprised by the rich activities of the kindergarten.
