Chapter 118: Chapter 118

Chapter 120 Listen to what you have in mind

Elly came out of the warm hug and stood quietly opposite to Alex.

She was moved by his sincere eyes and tone. She refused to dared to nod in agreement.

When she sorted out the words in bewilderment, she didn't know when John was standing behind her.

"Elly, why torture yourself? He really regrets what he has done in the past. I can forgive him and give him a chance." John paused for a few seconds and said slowly. "Think of a complete family with parents and children."

Alex looked at John gratefully, he was trying to convince her according to the situation. "Elly, when you left, Kitten missed you very much. He asked me about his mother every day when he would be home every time. In Kitten's face, can you give me a chance?"

"Elly bit her lower lip and gazed at Alex's sincere eyes.

After she knew the truth, she no longer trusts anyone hundred percent, including Alex. There were so many aspects of him that she didn't know, and even his capricious character she didn't fully understand, which made it difficult for her to be with him.

Elly hesitated to suffer like in a fish hook, and Alex's heart hook hangs high on the test. She dared not rush, dared not to be fool as before, and can only wait for the answer like a fool.

John's hand gently placed on Elly's shoulder, she felt the warmth in the palm of his hand, and her heart was much calmer.

"Listen to what you have in mind. Don't worry about what may or hasn't happened yet. As long as you cherish the present, you will be happy."

Her lips trembled so much that she could not speak. John smiled gently, and the words were simple and comforted her. "Elly, I have missed more than three years, and I'm not wasting three more years to lose my life."

Shocked by John's suggestion, Elly was awakened. Her brain, which used to be cluttered with choices, now seemed to have a fuse, and she nodded under Alex's sincere eyes.

Her cold face was permeated with Alex's joy, just like when the first flower was spring. She made a quick request and seize the opportunity. "I said yes. I'll pick you up tomorrow, Elly."

Has it started yet? John frowned, he was wondering how Alex could lead the story so far.

The joy on Alex's face congealed, and he looked at her with resentment, as if she had just said a terrible question.

"Okay, listen to me." Elly surrendered.

As she looked at the Alex car that disappeared at the end of the road, her mood was a little mixed. She looked forward to and worried that she did not know what she would go through when she returned to Alex.

John was right that she should cherished the present moment, not only Alex, but also Kitten. As she exhaled, Elly turned around and realized that John was staring at her. She asked bluntly, "No question. I remember you and Alex were always tit for tat and never affable. What happened today? Do you really want to help him?"

John smiled and spoke as easily as himself. "Is that not normal? As long as you change your point of view, my point of view will change."

"Don't let yourself mess around again." John said. "All right, Elly, forget it. Let me help you pack."

When he picked up her luggage, Elly thought of the new furniture at home. Alex bought it and didn't have a chance to use it.

At the Hargreaves's house.

Kitten was picked up by Gerald from kindergarten. As soon as he jumped the flute foot into the door, he saw Alex was sitting on the chair with a clever smile.

"Dad, are you sick?" He couldn't take his eyes off and asked curiously.

"No, no." Alex was startled and looked at his son suspiciously.

Eyes climbed into the chair, he touched his forehead and said politely. "Aren't you sick, dad? Why are you laughing so hard? It looks terrible!"

Alex immediately knew his son's new joke, and he carried him into his arms. His worried voice softened him. "I have news for you about mom. Do you want to hear it?"

Kitten was rubbing his chin and when he heard about his mother, he puffed up his face to look at him. "Didn't you forbid me to call my mother?"

Alex was embarrassed and said with a hard face. "I'm sorry! Dad said there was no choice to make me sad. Kitten will forgive me, okay?"

"No, I won't forgive you." He shook his head intently, he bit his lip and his eyes were watery. He didn't burst out until a few minutes later. "You scolded my mother and hit me. You are terrible, so she left and wasn't with you. I won't forgive you."

He watched his son helplessly as he sniffed to prevent hiccups. Alex regretted it. "If Mom forgives you, will she come home at the Hargreaves?"

Gerald was laughed at what he thought. 'He said that only a fool would forgive those who beat and scold themselves.' "Mom won't forgive you, Dad. Don't lie to me." Kitten said. "But mother is very kind, if she forgive you, I will not be angry with you."

Alex decided to deduct Gerald's salary tomorrow, and he smiled on Kitten's innocent face. "You told me father some good news that my mother will come home tomorrow."

"8:30 tomorrow?" Kitten forgot to breathe in amazement. He choked out of breath and his face flushed with tears. "Are you serious? Are you kidding me? She is going back home? You're not leaving me, are you? Dad. Don't lie to me."

As he spoke continuously, Kitten cried with delight. He did not care whether Alex's statement was true or false, as long as she heard that her mother was going home and her mother lived with him again, the joy was so great that he cried pitifully.

Alex couldn't take his eyes off the memorial scene of his son. In the past few years, he failed to cherish him and was lacking in maternal love.

When he learned that Elly was going home, Kitten was excited and fell asleep tired in the morning. Alex looked at the smile on his son face in his sleep, He was also infected with the mood.

If possible, He hope Kitten would always be so happy.

Early the next morning, the bedroom door was opened, Alex awakened because of that, a small figure rushed into the room, jumped onto the bed and shouted. "How long are you going to sleep? Let's go fetch mom, or I'll run away."

Alex was often grumpy if dozed off, but this was his son, he can't play a bad role. Over time, he sat up and watched Kitten dance on the mat. He needed a little bit of energy from his son.

"Do you need to wake me up at this time?"

He knew the time before even he was just four years old. He followed his father's fingers to look at the watch on the wall. It was 5: 00 in the morning, the window was not fully lifted up yet.

"You have to get up early and take a shower, and then pick her up. Don't let your smelly body goes with wind, mother will hate you. Don't come home with regret."

Alex's had dark face, he slipped out of bed, threw it at the door, and dropped the sound of orders. Alex came down to urge Mr. Geno to prepare breakfast. He remembered to clean up. The smoke stinks.

Alex looked at the ashtray filled of cigarette butts. He won't admit the insomnia man because he missed someone and burned two packs of cigarettes just to smell smoke in the room instead of taking a puff.

He was under control. Alex sneezed and rushed into the bathroom.

As soon as he sat down at the table, Alex told Kitten, just like adults teach children. "I'm busy going to kindergarten today. Dad, go to pick her up. Don't maltreat her, remember?"

Alex smiled from ear to ear, sat up straight, and spoke to Kitten as seriously as two men. "She's your mom. You'll like it. Kids don't snot as cleanly as you do, so go to the nursery."

Kitten was dumbfounded. "Mom abandoned you and didn't stay with me, not because you fight her last time? The handsome guy on TV is right. If you don't make your woman happy, you don't deserve to be a man."

Alex took a deep breath to contain his anger. Before he opened his mouth and yelled, he put his briefcase on his shoulder, stuck his tongue at him, and rushed to the door.

He hurriedly processed breakfast and wanted to take Elly home as soon as possible. Only she could cure the leprechaun and watch a lousy romance film on TV all day.

At the appointed time, Alex drove himself to pick up Elly. He called her and the driver parked his car in front of the house.

"How's the luggage going?"

Elly glanced at the two boxes under her feet and nodded. She left the clothes Alex had bought to her, so she had little luggage.

"Just a moment. I'll be right there." Alex wanted to take this opportunity to show concern, but she flatly refused.

"No, I'll take it off for you."

Without didn't give him time to object, Elly turned off her cell phone. She was patted on the shoulder, turned around and looked at a bank card in front of her in surprise.

"What's that?"

"Take it. Don't say no."

"But why?"

John smiled at Elly's courage, he took her by the hand, put the card in, and told her kindly. "You and Alex are back together. As your friend's family, you should have a present, right?"

She looked at his eyes while he was talking. He stroked her head and said, "If Alex does something wrong to you, you need to use it to leave or for anything. I will go back abroad and stop taking care of you."

John's affectionate voice moved her to tears and rolled on her smooth check. She held John's hand. She tilted her head, pressed the ribs of her hand to his hand, and squeezed his nose. "Thank you!"

John wiped Elly's tears with his thumb to make it stop. She was emotional, he stroked her forehead. "Elly, let's go, you should take a little slower, Alex downstairs will rush up to check you."

Elly flushed with laughter, bent over in her eyes, and smiled from ear to ear.

Elly's luggage was all in the trunk. John patted Alex on the shoulder and said solemnly. "I believe you this time! Hurt Elly again, and I'll send her to a place you'll never find."

"I won't give you this chance." took John by the hand. He didn't like to get in touch with others. He knew that his current attitude was rather ungrateful, because John had obviously said a lot for him in front of Elly.

As they watched John leave intently, John stood where he was. Sadness and loneliness lingered in his eyes, they would not disappear, but would be buried deep inside.

Time drifted quietly, John picked up the phone and pressed "Sarah". Three rang passed and there was no answer. He hesitated for a few seconds and decided to call for the last time.

The lazy sound of Sarah Olsen, who had not yet woken up, sounded sleepy. "Hello?"

John smiled softly. He remembered it was dawn.

As she recognized the voice of John, it was obvious that Sarah was more sober. "No, what did you call me?"

John's eyes were still soft, but there were so many things difficult to understand that perhaps he could not recognize them.

Under Sarah's expectation, he slowly smiled. "Sarah, thank you for being here at by my side all the time. Thank you for waiting for me. I think I should do my duty as a man. I won't let you down and wait too long."

Sarah listened nervously. She had been deceiving her people, John would come back, unexpectedly. John turned her deception into a reality.

"Sarah, I'll wait for you to come back."
