"Don't apologize." Alex felt sorry for her apology for no reason. "We are engaged, and you have been the official fiance of Hargreaves as long as you like."

Elly refused to admit that she was moved by his comfort.

The atmosphere became awkward. Time passed very slowly, and there were only two people around as quiet as the world. A gust of wind blew, hovered in the air, as the two people had a heavy breath.

Elly spoke to break the silence, but Alex was the kind of impatient person, he asked. "Why did you go to see Chairman Rome last night? Did Emily force you to do that? Who gave you the right to drink?"

Her silence kept Alex from giving up, and his voice was more serious. He asked her several times. "Emily was not that kind of honest person, she was not as innocent as the outside world says.
