Chapter 106: Chapter 106

Chapter 108 there is a dispute in the hospital

Early the next morning, Alex woke up with a headache and rushed into his temples. He felt every nerve in his head hurt badly. His head seemed to have been split in half.

Seated by the bed with his head down and his sullen hair in his hand, Alex recalled last night's words and deeds. He regretted that he wanted to bite his tongue.

Had it not been for the wine's ability to control him and make his mind drowsy, he would have buried those words deep in his heart and never spoke like a poor man.

'Maybe you hate me now.'

Alex muttered to himself, his eyes were glued to the sleeping figure beside him. His face was covered with dry tears, his pillow was wet, his mouth flashed away, his eyes were swollen and his cheeks were moist all night.

'I was wrong. I shouldn't have dragged you into an adult's quarrel.'

He remembered when he spanked his son last night, Alex knew it was wrong to spank the child. When he looked at him, his eyes became very gentle.

Down to the living room, Secretary Gerald was curling up on the sofa to sleep. Alex was surprised to find that he slept in the living room because he doesn't sleep there when he usually spend the night at his home.

"Gerald!" He kicked on the couch and yell.

At his third call, Gerald was startled. Lying on the couch, he fell and rolled to the floor, picked himself up and scratched his head. He saw Alex stood by, he turned his eyes to understand what had happened. He crouched on the chair and asked questions with long eyebrows. "Alex, what's wrong?"

He can't blame himself for belittling his superior's calm attitude, Alex sat opposite, calmly asked. "Why don't you go back to the bedroom? Did you sleep here all night?"

"Turning over, I took Elly back to the hospital, then sat here thinking about something and overslept."

After hearing Elly's name, Alex became silent, looked down, and did not say a word.

"I sat in the living room because I'm afraid you're going to cry all night, you were drunk again, and no one coaxed you. It was hard to sleep over last night, and I was so tired that I slept on the sofa." Gerald said cleverly to see whether Alex's mood would be good or bad.

"All in all, I think you were very tough and bossy towards Elly last night. There are many reasons why she left you. She can't control the overall situation, and Elly has her own sufferings."

Alex's face changed when it came to what happened last night.

"It's too much about what I said last night, isn't it?"

Secretary Gerald nodded, and he made an objective analysis. "I might have hurt your feelings, but they were all sincere, and I don't think that's a bad thing. It's okay to say it, but you don't have to tip to think about it alone."

"Even so, I regret being so drunk that I lost my mind. Alcoholism, brain eating, speech and behavior out of control."

Alex's sad expression made Gerald unable to help persuading. "Don't be too sad, you two take this opportunity to think about it. If you decide to completely stop drinking, I am very supportive."

A week later, Emily was discharged from the hospital. Elly asked for a leave from the company and came to pick her up in the morning.

"Will your regular rest time not affect your work?" Emily feels guilty.

Elly took the luggage in Emily's hand and went to the door of the hospital. The discharge procedures have been completed. "Let's go."

Sometimes, coincidentally, when you lose your guard.

Just at the gate of the hospital, they bumped into Alex and Secretary Gerald who just got out of the car. The four people stopped to look at each other, forming distinct opposites.

"Why were you discharged so fast? I thought you were going to be in the hospital for two months." Emily heard the sarcastic remarks, but Alex's eyes were particularly fixed on Elly.

There was a lot of mockery in Alex's words, and Emily was dismissive. She smiled and answered with her head up. "Considering Mr. Alex's expectations, death has not yet taken my life, and you are waiting for my death to calculate past debts."

"Become debt-ridden?" Alex glared and looked at Emily with disdain. He slowly stepped his feet and approached. "Yes, you have some debts to settle."

Emily was nervous, waiting for him to get close to her.

Walking slowly towards Emily, Alex stood in front of Elly at close range. He didn't care about the hateful gaze of Emily, just like a tiger that would ambush him and apologized directly to Elly.

"Elly, I was wrong that night. I drank too much, and the alcohol blurred my mind and my head was not clear. Please forget what I said. I'm sorry to upset you!"

Elly was startled. She didn't expect Alex to apologize to her publicly in front of many people, especially in front of Emily.

"You don't have to do this! Whether what you said is right or wrong, hurt or heartbroken, everything happened when you are drunk. I won't play tricks with drunk people."

"If you have time, we can now go home and play with Kitten. He's looking forward to see you." That was Alex's plan.

Elly understood his strategy and kept her mouth shut. "I'll find time to visit Kitten."

"Alex, you and my sister are already divorced. Don't you think it's funny that you keep pestering like this?" Standing beside him, Emily couldn't help but laugh, her voice was sour and reminded the two of them of their current relationship.

Elly was the first to be ashamed. Fortunately, Secretary Gerald made a speech in time to rescue him.

"Miss Emily thought too much. We went to the hospital because an important partner had a car accident. We went to see a patient."

"Oh, really?" Emily deliberately elongated her voice. She looked at Elly with affectionate eyes and then gave her an analysis.

"Do you understand what I mean? Alex's willingness to pretend to please people is still useful, including those who were hospitalized in a car accident, or just didn't die. All he cares about is for his interests."

Emily's obscenity was so obvious that although Elly's brain was slow, she knew exactly what she was trying to say.

Gerald, Alex is very kind to me, because I am still very valuable to him. But when I don't do any good, he won't care about me as much as he treats you. Even if you got stabbed with a knife, even if there was no love, he wouldn't ask any questions. He's a demon, impersonal."

Alex didn't care about Emily's words. He instinctively looked at Elly's face and replied arrogantly. "Yes, I always live for a purpose, especially when I have a good eye for people. I know very well who should be around and who should stay away. That kind of cunning person, I don't need to bluff."

The conversation between the two seemed like starting a war, and Secretary Gerald and Elly stood awkwardly.

Elly's felt sadder. Gerald realized that he was in a dilemma and urged Alex to keep moving. "General Manager, let's go in.. There is no need for nonsense and a waste of time."

Alex was frightened for a second. Reminded by his subordinate, he knew he was in such a hurry that he wanted Elly to see Emily's face and even ignored her feelings.

He immediately stopped talking, returned to his usual calm, and said coldly to Secretary Gerald. "You're right. Let's go."

Alex was bossy in front of Emily and it did not give her much help.

It was not until Alex and Secretary Gerald disappeared that Elly's hanging heart fell, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

Emily followed Alex's back in a low voice. "What is he proud of? He's just a blood-sucking businessman. When he undermines cooperation and uses means to let other companies go bankrupt, where is his conscience that he dare to come forward to teach people?"

Elly was silent. Alex was not like Emily's cursing words, but he was the reason for Russel's fiasco, and she was not qualified to refute her words.

"Please stop speaking ill to others behind their back." Elly urged. "Come on, Dad is still waiting at home."

In the elevator of the hospital, Secretary Gerald sighed helplessly. "All in all, why are you arguing with Emily? She deliberately sabotaged your humbleness in front of Elly. The more you speak ill to her, the more painful it is for Elly."

Alex knew, so the voice became more annoying.

When Alex saw Emily's fake snake face, he immediately thought of the crime she had committed against Elly. "I couldn't wait to tear up her mask, so I am so excited."

It doesn't make sense for him to be angry. Elly didn't believe him, and he would only force her away. In Elly's view, by blocking the knife, Emily completely restored her confidence.
