Chapter 103: Chapter 103
Chapter 105 Emily's wound
A few days later, Elly was busy taking care of Mr. Russel and Emily in the hospital.
Mr. Russel suffered a skin trauma and had a mild heart attack due to anger. He rested according to the course of treatment that the doctor prescribed. Emily's wound took a longer time to heal.
When she saw that Mr. Russel came to Emily's ward in person, Elly hurriedly pulled a chair for him. "Dad, please have a seat if you wanted to visit Emily, why didn't you call me?"
Mr. Russel sat down and was satisfied with her attitude. "You've been working hard lately and you haven't eaten, have you? Go downstairs and get something to eat. I'm her to accompany your sister."
"It's okay. I'm not hungry." Elly said hurriedly. She was not used to calling her family kindly. According to Emily, their father was furious when she quarreled with her family in the past. Elly didn't want to repeat what happened in the past, so she had to obey. "Dad, don't be mad. I'm going to have my dinner now."
The door of the ward closed, and Mr. Russel looked at Emily, her eyes were closed. The kindness on his face quickly disappeared.
"Okay, stop pretending. Show it to someone else not me."
Emily opened her eyes and there was a sober look in it, not the eyes of those who had just fallen asleep. "I'm a patient. I don't care about girls at all".
Emily expressed her dissatisfaction with Mr. Russel when he ruthlessly exposed her. "Don't you know your daughter?"
Emily smiled, sat up quickly and straightened her hair. Smooth movements were different from people who had just undergone stab surgery.
"The line tenant had just called and was asking to be paid. They said the blood bag hidden in you wasn't part of the plan. The person who stabbed you was obsessed with murder and asked for extra treatment."
Emily kept her cold expression and said contemptuously. "I'm not that stupid to bet with my life. Even if it's compulsory, you have to learn to choose to achieve your goals without hurting yourself. I told them not to take another penny. I haven't tried the bearded man who dared to slap me in the face."
Mr. Russel believed his daughter's decision and asked something important. "Do you think this plan can win Elly's kindness and trust?"
"We can rest assured that she is too stupid. Elly is an emotional person, strong in appearance, but kind and weak in heart."
Emily knew Elly and confidently mastered her absolute trust. She giggled. She is the easiest person to master and control.
Mr. Russel was still a little worried and specifically told her. You shouldn't have let her talk to Alex on the phone. He is like a sinister man and we are not sure if he knows that our tricks have been arranged by us. The hospital is not safe either. Don't expose the loopholes that will lead to the failure of the plan."
"Don't worry!" Emily sat down and said arrogantly. "With Elly's character after amnesia, she stubbornly believes in her own judgment, which is good for us. We saved her life so she wouldn't do anything bad about us. Even if Alex discovers what we did Elly would not believe him.
Mr. Russel and Emily looked at each other, they both have the same cunning eyes and are satisfied with the current situation.
In the evening, Elly stayed in the hospital and listened to Emily as she told her many stories about her sister's childhood. It's a pity that Elly doesn't remember the memories of the past.
The telephone rang and it saved Elly from the tense atmosphere. Emily looked at the phone curiously.
As she looked at the names of the people on her screen, Elly's smile slowly disappeared.
The name Kitten appeared.
Only then did Elly understood the meaning of silence. Emily was waiting for her choice. She hung up without hesitation.
Elly's decision was in line with Emily's expectations and the corners of her mouth showed satisfaction. Although she pretended not to know anything and asked with a smile. "Who was it? Why didn't you answer?"
"No, no one." Elly smiled reluctantly and shook her head gently. "This was an advertising phone. You don't need to answer it."
The phone continued to call after the explanation, this time it is the fixed phone number of the Hagreaves family. Elly frowned. She was surprised at the persistence of Kitten and had a bad feeling in her heart.
Finally, because she was worried and uneasy, she smiled and apologized to Emily. "I'm going out to answer the phone."
She stood outside the hospital hall, Elly took a deep breath to adjust her mood and connected the phone. "Didn't I say no more contact? Are you in so much trouble?"
"Mom."
A faint cry suddenly sounded, it made Elly's heart tense.
"Kitten? I didn't mean to scold you, don't be afraid." Elly hurriedly withdrew her words, but it was too late. She explained in remorse in bewilderment.
The sound of hiccups were heard through the other end of the line and the immature voice echoed. "Mom said you wouldn't leave me, oh. Please stop fighting with Dad. I'm so scared. I want my mother."
Every word felt like a knife to her heart and Elly began to find it difficult to breathe because she lied. "Kitten, mom won't fight with dad anymore. Don't cry, baby."
No four-year-old believed her explanation and Kitten quickly refuted her statement. "No, you should call Dad's phone. Don't be mad, call Dad."
Kitten's cries made her anxious and she began to blame Alex. He must had let him make a phone call. "Where's your dad?"
"He was drunk and he fell asleep." He was drunk every night and he even threw up in my room. Mr. Gerald was the one wo took care of Dad. Mom, go home. If you were at home, I knew that Dad won't drink anymore."
After she listened to Kitten's plea, Elly almost agreed, but due to the current situation, she needed to consider a lot of things. She cannot be emotional.
Elly said cruelly. "Good boy, listen to your father. I'll see you later."
She hurriedly turned off her phone and dared not say more, for fear that she would start to cry. In the middle of the hospital corridor, Elly clenched her cell phone, bowed her head and stood alone.
At the Hagreaves family home, after Secretary Gerald cleaned the drunken Alex. He laid his master to bed for a rest. He immediately saw Housekeeper Geno who stood outside the hall waiting.
"Is he all right?" Housekeeper Geno looked at the closed door behind Secretary Gerald and asked.
"I would like to thank Housekeeper Geno for his thoughtfulness. If Mr. Geno really cares about Boss Alex, you shouldn't let him drink too much every night."
Secretary Geralds's tone was unfriendly and full of irony.
Housekeeper Geno heard his voice and asked, "Do we have any misunderstanding?"
"Does Housekeeper Geno have a problem? Secretary Geno asked calmly.
"Do you think I approached him on purpose?"
