Sitting in the garden VR was reading a newspaper. His eyes were stuck on those black alphabets but his mind was stuck somewhere else. He was thinking about all the chaos that was created by his arrival. It's been two weeks since he started living with Orni. Since his arrival nothing was going right in Orni's house.

Though Orni and the boys were acting pretty normal with VR Orni's parents were extremely upset and angry with Orni. Shivansh also came to know about VR and since then he stopped talking to Orni. Shivansh knew that VR will try to meet Neela so he threatened Orni if VR meets Neela then Shivansh will cut all of his ties with Orni.

VR was becoming impatient to meet Neela but Orni convinced him that once Shivansh calm down they will go to meet Neela. Orni knew that today or tomorrow her parents and Shivansh will accept her decision. It was just a matter of time.

VR's concentration was broken by a presence behind him. He turned his head behind thinking that the person might be Roman or Rion but it was someone else. VR was surprised to see a young girl whose age wouldn't be more than 20 standing there having a confused expression on her face. She was wearing ripped jeans along with a tank top. Her black curly hair was tied in a half bun. The girl wasn't just pretty, she was looking like some kind of Angel. VR wondered who was she. He concluded she might be Roman or Rion's friend but something poked inside him. She was looking familiar to him. Just looking at her eyes he felt a sudden connection with this unknown girl. He didn't know why he felt like that.

" Umm.... where is Orni Aunty and everyone?" The girl questioned VR.

He answered blinking his eyes," They have gone to the temple."

Well, VR also wanted to go to the temple for prayer but Srilekha didn't like him going with them for something holy. To respect her, VR stepped back and didn't go to the temple with others.

" Oh," the girl sighed. " By the way, who are you? I never saw you in this house. Are you Orni Aunty's relative?" the girl sounded curious.

VR answered chuckling," I am Roman and Rion's father."

The girl became baffled after hearing VR. Her eyes turned round like potatoes. She couldn't believe what she heard.

" Roman and Rion's father?" the girl asked again and in response, VR nodded his head.

The girl mumbled confusingly," I thought their father is dead."

" By the way, who are you? Are you Roman and Rion's friends?" VR asked curiously.

The girl answered letting out an awkward smile," I am their sister actually. Not blood related though."

The word sister shook something inside VR. He asked hurriedly," And, your name?"

" Neela. Neela Raichand," the girl answered.

VR stumbled backwards after hearing her. He couldn't believe his ears. He again took a good look at her and the moment he realized that this girl was none other than his little pumpkin, he burst into sobbing.

" Pumpkin!" VR whispered with teary eyes.

Neela became confused after seeing VR's crying face. She blinked her eyes repeatedly to understand what just happened. She wondered if she said something offensive.

" My daughter," VR pulled Neela into a tight hug.

Neela got scared by VR's weird behaviour. She pushed him away from her and looked at him angrily. She felt him as a mentally unstable man.

" What the hell are you doing?" Neela shouted at him.

VR said in an emotional voice," You may not remember me. But, I swear I missed you every single day, child."

" It's me. Your daddy," VR said making Neela lose her patience.

She started doubting him. What if he broke into Orni's house intending to steal? Since he got caught, that's why he started acting weirdly and told her that he is Roman and Rion's father.

" Tell me what's your intention? Otherwise, I will call the police," Neela threatened. VR shook his head in denial.

VR tried to convince Neela that he knew her since she was a child but Neela didn't believe him. Getting pissed off by his words she almost called the police but thankfully Orni arrived on time with Roman and Rion. The moment Neela's eyes caught Orni she ran into her.

" Aunty, who is this madman?" Neela pointed her finger at VR. " At first, he claimed to be Roman and Rion's father and now he is claiming that he is my Daddy! Who is this insane person?" Neela asked Orni in one go.

Orni took a long breath before opening her mouth," He is saying the truth."

Neela looked at Orni with disbelief while Orni added," You don't know a lot of things, Neela. Your mother and father haven't shared a lot of things with you."

After that, Orni told Neela about Niyati and VR. She didn't go with details though Neela understood a lot of things. She wasn't a child anymore. She couldn't believe her ears after hearing everything.

" It was him who take care of you and your mother when there was no one for you guys," Orni said looking at VR with gentle eyes. " It's such an irony that I ended up with your father Shivnash Raichand while your mother ended up with Roman and Rion's father. Both of them took care of us in their own way," Orni let out a smile of irony.

Neela was dumbfounded after hearing everything. She had no idea how she should react but she knew that she has a lot of questions to ask her parents.

" I need to go," Neela stormed outside after giving VR an emotional glare.

When Neela left, Roman asked VR," Are you ok, Dad?" He rested one of his hands on VR's shoulder.

" I am fine," VR answered shortly. Orni came forward because she knew that he wasn't ok.

She ordered the boys to leave them alone. They obliged him silently. Once they left, Orni hugged VR tightly to console him. She patted his back gently.

" It's ok. I am here for you," Orni said.

VR's voice cracked," She didn't recognize me. You don't know how much I love her. I never looked differently at her and the boys."

" Give her some time, love," Orni said patting his back.

When it was a festive night in the whole city due to Navaratri, there was no excitement or celebration in the Patel household and it wasn't needed to describe why was that. Orni's parents were already upset about her decision and now Shivansh has joined them also.

A few moments ago Shivansh arrived with his family to meet Orni's parents. Shivansh did not want to bring Neela with him but she insisted to come here.

" Shiv, do something. I can't see my daughter with him," Srilekha said clicking her tongue with annoyance.

Shivansh answered shaking his head," I am still wondering what he did that Orni accepted him just like that."

" I don't know when she will use her brain properly," he added and Sanjay agreed with him.

Sanjay mumbled," She will never grow up."

" Her innocent and forgiving nature is the root of all problems," Sanjay said having a disappointed expression.

Niyati was listening to everyone but didn't say anything. But, finally, she decided to open her mouth.

" If Orni finds happiness in VR then we have nothing to do except accept VR. We want to see her happy but in the meantime, we are hurting her by our ignorance. She is not a child. Whatever she has decided, she might have decided after thinking about a lot of things. It's her life. Let her decide," Niyati said catching everyone's attention. " I understand that we can't accept VR but we should not ignore Orni for him," Niyati said looking at Shivansh who was looking extremely annoyed.

While Shivansh was talking to Orni's parents, Neela was talking to VR and Orni. Neela was still in her shocked state after knowing VR's relationship with Niyati.

" You used to call me Daddy," VR smiled holding Neela's hand.

Since Neela couldn't recall anything about her childhood she could not relate to the emotions of VR. However, something moved inside her looking at VR's affectionate eyes.

" Can I hug you pumpkin? Just once," VR requested Neela who looked at Orni with questioning eyes.

Orni smiled at Neela," He is like your father."

Neela agreed and VR pulled her into his chest. His vision got blurry with tears. He recalled how he used to cuddle with Neela. How she used to call him Daddy with her broken language. He recalled how he used to spend his time with Neela.

It was a simple hug for Neela because she doesn't remember anything but for VR it was peace. After a long time, he felt actual peace holding his daughter in his arms. Breaking the hug he kissed Neela's forehead.

" Though I don't remember anything about you, I feel that you are a genuine person. A good human being," Neela said smiling at VR.

VR smiled," Can I request you something?"

" Yes," Neela answered.

VR requested her," Can you call me Daddy for once?" His eyes sparked with emotions. He was continuously searching for his little Neela in her.

Neela hesitated at first but looking at VR's emotional eyes she called," Daddy."

A happy tear rolled down VR's eyes. Orni grabbed his hand to support him emotionally. Orni knows VR's emotional attachment to Neela.

VR placed his hand on Neela's head," May Lord Shiva always protect you from every evil eye."

Neela responded with a genuine smile to his blessing. She can't believe the person whom she couldn't even remember loves her so much. She wished she could recall everything about VR and her relationship.

Their emotional conversation was interrupted by Shivansh and Niyati. The annoyed expression on Shivansh's face and the angry yet upset expression on Niyati's face were indicating that the discussion didn't go well. No one actually cared about Niyati's opinion including Shivansh. That's why she was angry.

" Stay away from my daughter," Shivansh yelled at VR startling everyone.

Sparing an angry twisted glare at VR, Shivansh dragged Neela outside. He also glared at Orni who seemed troubled to see her brother this angry. Niyati followed Shivansh silently. VR expected her to talk to him but she did not. He wondered if Orni can forgive him then why can't the others?

VR looked beside him and saw Orni shedding silent tears. Pulling her into his arms he rubbed her back," Everything will be alright, Angel."

" They abandoned me," Orni cried.

VR answered stroking her hair with soft hands," There is a difference between abundance and anger. They are just angry. Nothing else."

Orni closed her eyes in peace after hearing his words. She just hopes her parents and Shivansh start talking to her again.
