Chapter 12: Chapter 12

Primrose tried to calm herself down so she wouldn't think about Joel anymore. She took off her clothes and flushed, lying down in the large bathtub. The warm steam hovering around her made her mind gradually relax, freely enjoying this relaxing feeling. Primrose finally regained her focus and washed herself clean, until she was wrapped in a long towel and wanted to put on clothes when she realized something vital.

She forgot to take her clothes into the bathroom.

Primrose mentally rubbed her head, silently admiring that she was really so mesmerized by the beauty that made her slow thinking become so absent-minded. After taking a deep breath, she opened the bathroom door slightly, slowly peering out to see if Joel had returned to his room.

"Primrose, are you looking for this?"

From the moment Joel laid down on the bed, he got up, got bored, walked around Primrose's bedroom, and came across her clothes neatly arranged on the table. Joel smiled and sat down on the chair next to him, casually leaning back, waiting for Primrose to finish bathing.

At this point, Joel had achieved his goal and, of course, quickly got up, and put the clothes in front of the bathroom door, in sight of her. His clothes were neat now, but Primrose was only wrapped in a thin towel, which was a bad situation no matter what.

"Ah, thank you."

Primrose timidly just stretched out his arm to accept the clothes, but I didn't expect that Joel would not want to let her go so easily. He pulled her hand slightly, causing Primrose to lose momentum. Taking a step forward, a slender figure appeared. appeared in his sight. Because of her lack of balance, the towel on Primrose's body also tended to slip down, causing her to hastily grab it, her eyes flickering with panic.

"May I interpret this as seduction? Deliberately forgetting clothes and intentionally appearing in front of me like this?"

While Primrose wanted to turn around and run away, Joel grabbed her waist and approached from behind, his lips pressing against her sensitive earlobe, whispering. At this time, Primrose's face was already as red as a tomato, and she was only biting her lip shyly, without any strength to refute.

"No, I'm really going to forget clothes. Don't misunderstand."

"But I misunderstood, what should I do?"

Joel's arm stroked Primrose's thin shoulder, the warmth of his hand making Primrose shiver slightly.

"I've seen everything about your sister, I've seen her without clothes, now what are you embarrassed about?"

Primrose's reaction made Joel laugh, the little girl, who had always been arrogant to him, now blushed, trembled slightly, and slightly bowed her head, making people want to trample her.

Joel's arm continued to move on Primrose's shoulder, reaching forward to grab Primrose's hand holding the towel, stroking it lightly, making Primrose so scared that he almost let go. While Primrose closed her eyes in fear, hearing a light laugh like a silver bell, Joel slowly moved away from her.

"Okay, stop teasing me, put on some clothes before it gets cold."

The righteous Joel coughed, and after Primrose hurried away, he took a deep breath. Originally, he just wanted to scare Primrose, but just now he almost couldn't help himself. The rose from Primrose's shower gel floating in the air, the soft and smooth skin, the glimmering figure hidden behind the towel, and the feminine timidity all attracted Joel to do a few things. which is not very indecent to Primrose.

Fortunately, he stopped in time, otherwise, Joel was not sure what he would do. After thinking about it, Joel also quickly returned to his room, where he still wanted to find an excuse to sleep with Primrose in the same bed today, but if he wanted to continue, the person who would suffer would, of course, be him.

A few days later, the relationship between Primrose and Joel was also considered stable. Every day, Joel still works hard to drive Primrose to work, sometimes showing up with a bouquet of flowers carefully wrapped in ribbons.

Today is the 10th anniversary of Primrose, and everyone decided to gather together at an expensive restaurant. Primrose, of course, also happily agreed to go with her colleague, conveniently sending a text message to Joel saying that he didn't need to pick her up today.

After finishing work, she originally wanted to take a taxi to go to the rendezvous with Nancy, but in the middle of the road, she was stopped by her male colleague Devis.

"Primrose, do you want to go restaurant with me?"

Normally, Primrose and Devis' relationship in the company is quite good. Devis is the head of Primrose's department, when she first joined the company, she helped her a lot, and the two are also relatively close. So for now, Primrose agreed without hesitation. She wanted to drag Nancy with her, but she didn't expect Nancy to cover her mouth and smile and say that her boyfriend would come to pick her up now.

"Since when is it? But you don't say anything to me. Nancy, do you still consider me a friend?"

Primrose leaned close to Nancy's ear and bellowed, two people so close that Nancy had a boyfriend and did not inform her, indeed angry enough.

"It's a long story, I'll tell you later. The subject is the doctor I met last time, personality is fine."

Because she was afraid that Devis was still around, Primrose only glared at Nancy and then slowly walked out with him. Two people walking side by side, sometimes tilting their heads to talk intimately, are at first glance very harmonious. Unbeknownst to Primrose, this scene was captured by her caring husband.

Joel was gripping his phone so tightly that his veins were blue. He had just received a text message from Primrose saying no, he was worried about leaving the meeting and running, wanting to take her to the party. Unexpectedly, she was already happily standing next to another man and getting into his car, which didn't need his intervention.

Joel was so angry that he burst into laughter, his fists constantly clenched.

He saw the familiar figure of Primrose sitting in the other man's car, driving away quickly. Obviously, he didn't want to argue with Primrose right now.

As for Primrose, after getting into Devis car, the two only talked about a few work-related issues. Very quickly, at the meeting point, Devis gallantly stepped down to open the car door for Primrose, she also politely said thank you.

Today everyone is sitting by department, of course, Primrose, Devis, Nancy, and a few other colleagues are at the same table. Primrose sits between Devis and Nancy, suddenly receiving a text from Joel.

"Where is your company's party, I'll come pick you up later."

After returning home, Joel was still not committed, worried, and quickly sent a message. He had refrained from questioning Primrose earlier when he saw her getting intimate with another man, but that didn't mean he didn't care.

Primrose sent Joel the location, casually telling him to come pick her up in two hours. After the party, people usually invite each other to karaoke or to a famous bar in the city, Primrose normally would follow, but today she was not very interested.

Perhaps this afternoon she was busy playing games, so she didn't take a nap, and now she has a bit of a headache.

The company's so-called party is when they go to a famous restaurant together, and the owner of the company pays all the related costs directly. At the beginning of the party, the directors said a few words about the development of the company, thanked everyone for their efforts, and then the whole room raised a glass of wine.

Primrose was also happy to drink, she hadn't drank for a long time, so she was very refreshed, just finished one glass and poured another, drinking happily. The initial bitter taste spreads to the tip of the tongue and is extremely stimulating.

"Primrose, eat this shrimp."

Devis peeled a shrimp and placed it in the Primrose bowl and smiled. Primrose put down the phone, surprised to say thank you.

"Devis, I also want to eat shrimp."

Nancy next to her also teased, and Devis also smiled gently, peeling another shrimp for Nancy. Although Primrose didn't detect anything out of the ordinary, Nancy's intuition was so sharp that she frowned slightly. It seems that Devis' feelings for Primrose are not normal, she must be more careful with his every move.

Everyone was drinking and talking to each other, and soon everyone was drunk. Devis tilted her head to look at Primrose beside her, seeing her face as red as a peach blossom, her beautiful long eyelashes drooping, her rosy lips slightly curled up, and sparkling with water from just drinking. He licked his lips, perhaps stimulated by the yeast, and leaned slightly to talk to Primrose.

"Primrose, how do you feel about me?"

Nancy, sitting next to her, immediately sat up straight, listening attentively to the movement next to her. And the insider, Primrose, who was dreamingly pouring himself a drink, didn't notice that the phone was vibrating and answered honestly.

"The young man who became the head of the department proved to be very talented, tall, and handsome, and his personality was also very sociable. Be a good man."

Hearing her innocent reply, Devis laughed, leaned close to her face, and whispered.

"Really? What does Primrose think about office love?"

Devis suddenly asked an unrelated question, and the dreamy Primrose was no longer able to explain the situation. Only Nancy next to him was extremely worried. That wouldn't be the situation.

Primrose was married, but because she was initially forced to marry, she was very dissatisfied with this marriage. Aside from Nancy and a few other close friends, all assumed that Primrose was single, as were her colleagues in the company.

Devis is not here; do you want to directly borrow wine to confess here? Nancy shivered.

"It's normal, sincere love is fine."

Primrose poured himself another glass of wine, and now that Devis was energized, he cleared his throat and continued.

"So if I pursue you, will you agree?"

"You are not allowed."

A low, cold voice rang out, and right after that, Devis's arm that was about to rest on Primrose's shoulder was mercilessly shoved away.
