Amy turned and turned but couldn’t sleep.

“she has tried and make sure that he wont know that she remembered because she did not want things to become awkward between them at all or she wont be able to keep loving him secretly like before” she thought and wonder what he wanted to say about it but she knows that there is a higher chance of him apologizing and telling her it was a mistake and that’s what she hate to hear from him. After about an hour, she fall asleep again.

Maxwell try calling Sonya but she wasn’t picking up, so he called Simon but he also was not answering then he made his way to Simon’s house.

....Simon arrived to the house with Sonya and after they entered, Sonya made her way to the other room. She was so tired and angry with herself she just wanted to lay down and sleep. Simon followed her in.

“aren’t you hungry? Wait for some minute, I will get you something to eat” he said.

“no need. I don’t feel like eating anything. I will just sleep” she replied and lay down. Simon move closer to her and cover her. Then he made to leave but Sonya held him back.

“can you stay here till I fall asleep” she asked more like a plead.

“of course. why are you asking like that?” he answered.

“I just discovered that you are not actually my cousin and everything i've believed is a lie, am just sacred you might also disappear” she reply.

“I will never leave your side. I promise” he said and pet her to sleep. After a while she was sound asleep, Simon stop patting her and watch her sleep.

“I love you” he whispered and kissed her forehead, then he moved to kiss her on the lips but the doorbell stopped him. He stopped for a second and wanted to ignore it but the bell keep ringing and Sonya turned in her sleep. He then stood up and went to open it. He knew who it was and sure enough, it is Maxwell.

“you are here, do you finish all your work?” he asked aggressively.

“yes, where is she?” he asked and wanted to come in. Simon block him and close the door more.

“she is already asleep and its would be better not to wake her” he answered.

“really?” he asked doubtfully.

“then I will just see her” he said but still he did not budge.

“Maxwell! You are here” Sonya suddenly said beside Simon and open the door then ran into Maxwell’s arm. Maxwell was taken aback but still held her and hug her back.

“why are you back late?” she asked and make an angry face.

“sorry, I had a lot to do at work” he apologized.

“thanks for taking care of her. We’ll leave now” Maxwell said and Sonya also wave him bye. They got in to the car and drove. Simon was still on the same spot and stare at nothing in particular.

“how long was she awake?” he wondered before going inside.

Sonya was lost in thought in the car, She keep thinking of it in a different way, but it still feels strange. Back at Simon’s house. She closed her eyes so she could fall asleep fast. When she heard him say I love you, she thought he just said it to comfort her but the tone and way he said it seems different.

“and also, why will he want to kiss her?” she thought.

“no matter how she sees it, he almost kissed her. Why on earth is that? And he couldn’t be comforting her with that” she thought and continue deliberating on it.

“you seems lost, what are you thinking about?” Maxwell asked studying her.

“oh, its nothing. Just random stuff” she answered.

“its does not look like she is thinking about her mother cause she has this confused kind of look, he wonder if its related to her cousin” he thought and focus on driving.

they got to the house and entered.

“have you taken anything?” he asked her.

“no, am not hungry” she said but her stomach betrayed her immediately.

“Mrs smith” he called and the housekeeper came out to meet him immediately.

“I did not hear you coming in. Ma’am, you are also here” she said acknowledging her presence.

“will you like to eat now, I will just heat the food for you” she suggested.

“no, its okay. I will do that myself. You can get off work now” he replied and walk upstairs with Sonya.

“take a shower first then come down to eat” he said to her before entering his room. Sonya stare at his back as he left.

“why did he act like that” she thought and shrugged then entered the other room. She try not to think about the day’s event.She enter the bathroom and it was decorated with a lovely scent and a bath full of petal flowers.

“whoa! I love this” she squealed inside. She pull off her clothes and entered. She stay inside for a long time then feels the pang of hunger so she wash up and came out with a towel wrapped around her. She saw a beautiful gown she did not notice before on the bed and put it on then she walk back downstairs to meet him. Maxwell was at the dinning table when she got there. “come here” he turned and called to her.

“maybe its because he just showered but he looks more sexy and tempting tonight” she thought as she move closer to where he is. Maxwell held out a seat for her and help her sit.

“did the bath help you relax?” he asked as he dish out the food.

“yeah, thanks” He specially ask Mrs Smith to prepare a lot of her favourite foods including chicken. He finished serving and sat down beside her.

“eat, they are all your favourite” he said and pick up the spoon for her.

“I thought you were going to feed me” she said jokingly

“if you want that I will” he replied.

“no, am just joking” she said and collect the spoon from him to start eating.

“I love eating chicken because its my mum's best food. After she died, i continue to eat it until it became something I love so much. But it turn out I was just deceiving myself. She does not even see me as her daughter” she said more to herself than Maxwell. Maxwell push the chicken back and place another dish in front of her.

“no mother hates her child. Am sure she also misses you” he said to comfort her.

“I know right” she replied and smiled sadly, then she continue eating.

“you are not going to ask any question?” he asked.

“you mean about how you find out all of this? I don’t want to know for now. I just want to go somewhere to have fun and relax” she answered.

“you are not hungry?”

“I will rather watch you eat” he said with warmly. "Am sorry for leaving earlier there was an emergency at work" he added while Sonya nod at him and smiled.

After she finish eating and they decide to watch a romantic movie.

“don’t you think the female lead is kind of selfish. She knows the other guy likes her and she is already dating someone but she still keep him by her side. If she likes a guy then she should stick to him. Why lead another guy on?” Sonya said complaining for the hundredth time since they start watching the movie.

“and also, why is she always shedding tears instead of fighting for her right? Very foolish. This why I hate romance movies, so lame. Do they have to make the female lead like an idiot who can’t do anything without the male lead help” she complained on and on. Maxwell could not concentrate on the movie at all. He watch her analyse every scene and comment badly about it. “why do you insist on watching it if you hate the movie so much” he asked.

“they are good for relieving stress” she answered not facing him. Sonya wanted to say something again while a kissing scene was shown and she swallowed back her words. Maxwell saw her action and laughed.

“why didn’t you finish your words? Cat got your tongue now” he said making jest of her.

“it not like that” she said and look for what to say to defend herself.

“I just want to obverse, plus they can’t even kiss well at all. They are still learner” she said and regretted it immediately.

“really? I think they are better at kissing than you” he said to provoke her.

“are you kidding? Of course I am” she said to retaliate.

“really? Why do I not believe that? You don’t seems like a very good kisser to me” he said and act like he is recounting their kiss together. Then unexpectedly Sonya kissed him. She put on lips on his for a while then stop.

“that’s to show you how good of a kisser I am” she said after. Maxwell dwell on the lingering feeling of her lips on his before replying her.

“that’s not the right way to do it, let me show you” he said and held her waist to draw her nearer and kissed her. Sonya felt a cold spine run down her back. She wrapped her hand around his neck and also kissed him back. Their kiss was raw and intense. He moved his lips skillfully to her throat and nibbled on it. Then he move his hand down her back and held her more closely. Their kiss was different from the ones before and Sonya felt lost in it. He put his hands inside her dress and explore her, Sonya moan and put on head on his shoulder and inhale his scent. He continue kissing her in different places and start to undress her. “wait” Sonya stopped him with a her hand. He stopped and read her thoughts, then he carried her in a bridal style and headed to the room. He place her on the bed and lay down with her and they continued. He unbuttoned his shirt and continue kissing her. Sonya open her eyes.

“she has not been with a guy before and she is not quite sure if she is ready. Also she always dreamed of giving her first to her husband and on their wedding night also. Maxwell noticed that she was distracted and stopped.

“what is it?” he ask in a low voice.

“am sorry but I don’t think am ready yet” she said apologetically. “he kissed her forehead for a few second. And hug her in his arms.

“okay, let’s sleep” he said and close his eyes. Sonya wanted to check if he is angry or not, but he is not showing any. She close her eyes also and fell asleep quicker than excepted.
