"We will talk about that later. For now, go and enjoy the party" Elena ordered.

Bonnie stared at her weirdly as she breathed down.

"You need a break, Elena. You are falling apart. Mere looking at your face, I could see the fear and worry in it. Just brace yourself" Bonnie told her before walking back to her classmates

Elena pondered on what Bonnie told her, placing her both hands in her back pocket, she walked outside the cottage.

She walked to the backyard and saw Laura, Peter, Alex, Sarah, Fay, Edward, and Liam sitting on a mat. Drinking champagne and having grilled cheese.

She watched as they talked and laugh, observing Sarah, she seem happy. Taking a deep breath, she called out to them.

"Hey guys," she said before walking up to them.

"Oh! Elena! You are here already" Alex said smiling. She got to where they sat and settled down too.

"Welcome, Elena! Remember me? The guy you left to die out here" Liam teased as Laura planted a kiss on his cheek. Elena rolled her eyes at that.

"Well, you are alive in one piece! Do not let me inform the cops about you" they laughed at this but Liam did not find ur funny.

"Hey, Elena," Fay said munching on the cheese.

"Elena! What took you so long?" Laura asked.

"There was a situation I had to take Care of at the prison station," she said cutting a slice from the cheese.

"What situation?" Sarah asked as Elena smiled nervously.

"It is nothing, I have taken care of it already" she muttered.

"Uhmmm... Sarah... Did you get any vision lately?" Elena asked as the guys just stared at her weirdly.

"Nope... Why asking?" Sarah gave her a quizzical look.

"Ahmm. Just asking. Wanted to make sure no one is about to die for now... Hahaha... You know?" Elena said nervously as she took lots of cheese in her mouth.

"Ok... I see. I have not gotten any vision yet" Elena nods.

(Hmm, this is weird) she thought.

"So.. What are you guys doing out here. And why isn't Bonnie here?" Elena asked drinking from the rubber cups.

"Sarah is shy amongst lots of people. She is the total opposite of you, an introvert, you know. So it is her birthday, we decided to make her happy by staying here with her" Laura said shoving a piece of cheese in Liam's mouth.

"Hmm... Ok. And Bonnie?" Elena asked as Alex sighed.

"Her classmates attended the birthday too. she said she can not just leave them. She has to keep them company" Alex replied.

"You know sometimes I wonder how a kid could be so intelligent like Bonnie," Fay said as the freaks gave each other a look because they know who the real Bonnie is now.

"Yh, me too" Laura chipped in

"So... Who else saw Bryan?" Elena asked shifting her butt to where Sarah was seated.

"I did. That guy can't just get over you" Laura said

"Who the hell is Bryan?" Edward asked.

"Her ex" Peter shrugged.

They continued that way till they went in to cut the cake. Their classmates were surprised Sarah could talk now, but no one dared ask her why she did not talk for 17 years.

The party was over, Elena drove them home, some of the guests decided to sleep at the cottage.

They got to the Bellos mansion as they talked about how fun the party was.

Fay, Edward, and Liam had gone and it was remaining just the Freaks.

Elena sat on the couch, deep in thought while Bonnie handled the remote to the TV.

"Back to earth Elena!" Laura said snapping her fingers at her face.

"I have been talking to you for ages but you are not responding! What are you thinking of? Are you alright" Laura asked sitting next to her as she blinked her eyes rapidly.

"Nothing... Of course nothing" she said sitting up.

"Ok, this is getting serious. You have been acting weird since you came to the party, what is wrong?" Peter asked as the Freaks gathered around her. Sarah sat next to her too.

"Nope. It is actually when she returned from the emergency call. What's up to Elena? I can tell you are so worried about something" Bonnie said walking up to them after dropping the remote.

"Come on... You can talk to us. We are not just friends. But family now" Alex told her as she breathed down.

"Ok.. " she said thinking of how to break the news, especially to Sarah.

"It is Emily Bellos," she said and stopped, staring at Sarah who wore a worried expression.

"Ruth killed her. Our mom killed her. That is why I was called" she finally broke the iceberg as her friends exclaimed.

"What?! " Peter yelled.

"How did that happen?" Laura added as they all averted their gaze at Sarah, who was in shock, and flickers of tears were dropping from her eyes now as she tried to digest the news.

"She strangled her. Ruth should be dead by now by the gas chambers"

"Are you guys alright? I am so sorry" Laura hugged Elena and Sarah.

"But how did that happen without Sarah getting a vision? We would have been able to prevent this" Alex said as Elena shook her head in frustration.

"That was what I have been trying to decipher," she said sadly.

"This is strange" Peter confessed.

"It is easy. (She folded her arms) Do you know nature is all about giving and take? So that nature would not upset the balance" Bonnie stated as they stared at her.

"Ok, what are you talking about? We are kinda befuddled right now" Alex said digging his eyes deep into Bonnie's.

"Sarah was mute and was a psychic, now she talks, the gift is gone. She has to choose between the both of them. To stay mute and be a psychic, or to talk and lose the gift" Bonnie added as they gave her a quizzical look.

"That is why she did not see her mom's death coming" Bonnie added.

"Ok... This is weird and creepy. How would one just lose his/her ability just like that?" Laura asked with a puzzled look now as they all stared at Bonnie, waiting for her to explain more.

"Like I said earlier. This life is all about balance. Like equilibrium, you all did chemistry in school huh?" She asked folding her arms.

They kept giving her a straight face as she rolled her eyes.

"Ok... Sarah... When did you last see a vision?" Bonnie asked as she sniffed.

"Umm The last vision I saw... Was about Jeffrey Logan.. " she replied with a stutter as she tried to wipe her tears.

"Ok... After Jeffrey Logan, Sheriff Ruth tried killing Peter at the fire camp night. She also killed a kid on Nicholas's birthday. Did you get any of these visions?" Bonnie asked as she sniffed and shook her head sideways.

"The people that died at the mall and the grill, that your mom massacre, did you get any vision about them?" She further interrogated but Sarah shook her head again.

Alex wanted to open his mouth to say something but Elena stopped him by touching his arm, she wanted Bonnie to continue, she wanna know where the little girl was driving.

"After Jeffrey Logan's incident. You were almost killed, so, you had to go to 2033 with the time machine. When you got there, there was a big war in Mystic Hollow. Or should I say this town was gone? Then, you started trying to communicate with Elena. You called out to her and she could hear you because she was your other half. When you talked, that was when nature took their gift. Trust me, you can not cheat nature" Bonnie finished as the Freaks saw from this angle now.

"Wow... This is creepy" Peter said looking at Elena.

"Like your grandpa Laura, he is blind physically, but his supernatural eyes are open. The day he starts seeing physically, that is the day he would lose his gift" Bonnie stated.

"And you Elena... You are brave and very fearful, but you can overcome fear. Even though it comes knocking at your door. You see, being the fearful and brave same time, isn't it contradicting? And Elena, your will is stronger than your fears. That is what keeps you going. You best complete Sarah. Like, same people with different abilities. Like you, the extrovert and Sarah the introvert" Bonnie continued and turned to Laura.

"You Laura, you are not strong but you are very smart. You have a very high standard IQ," she later turn to Alex and Peter.

"You both already know your gifts. Gifts don't mean you have to be magical like Merlin or Harry Potter. Some gifts are more magical than magic itself. What keeps us flourishing is because we are together. Our love kept blossoming when we are one" Bonnie finished and walked back to the TV.

"And you... What's your gift?" Sarah asked. Bonnie smiled without turning to face her.

"Just as you can't predict or see your death but could see others. That is how I am not permitted to know about my past life. You know, I always have Deja vu. Almost everything in Mystic Hollow looks familiar to me. Like the Waterfall. Peter's house, the Diner he took me to, and your school" she sighed and turned to face them now.

"Well, as the saying goes. Without tragedy, you can't have comedy" she shrugged as Alex's phone buzzed.

They all darted their gazes to him, he brought out the phone from his pocket, it was a call from his dad.

Hey dad" he said and excused himself to a corner.

"Sarah... " Laura called, Sarah sobbed as Elena hugged her.

"It is ok... Everything's ok. I know how much Emily loves you and you love her too" Elena stated.

"It started with them, and it jas ended with them. We have to welcome Mystic Hollow to a new era and look ahead to a brighter future"

"The council would gather and a day would be fixed for their funeral"

"I will be fine" Sarah muttered.
