FLASHBACK

" Is Frederick at home? He refused to take my calls since yesterday" she said to his mom.

"Oh yes, he is. He is in his room. You came quite early. He was about leaving the house"

"Oh, thank my stars" she walked briskly to his room, knocked once, and opened the door. She met Frederick dressing up to go out. She looked at the neatly packed mini back as she shrugged.

"Where are you headed to?" She asked but did not get any response from him.

"Frederick, when will you stop this? I have not done anything wrong to you. Why do you hate me so much" she berated?

"Why can't we have a smooth conversation like normal people?"

"How do you expect we do that when the only thing you do is speak ill of my girlfriend?" He barked as she scoffed.

"What I am doing is for your own good. That girl is not good for you. And I have proof"

"I do not need it. Stay away from me and Ruth. I have warned her severally, but she would not listen. I am very shocked she does not know what you really are"

"See who is talking! What I am doing is for your own interest and good. I am trying to look out for you but you are so adamant. Well, listen to the conversation we had about you" she took her phone and played a voice record.

It was the conversation they had the other day she visited their house, the record was just Ruth's voice that was heard and she was saying Federick was full of himself and that she dislikes him.

'When did you record that?" He asked, interested now.

"So, you do believe me now?"

"I ask you a question, please respond to me."

"A few days ago." She lied as he took the phone from her hand and plated the record again.

END OF FLASHBACK

"I did not meet Ruth at the Cottage as we planned because of that. I fell into depression and drank, just a little bit, Emily fixed the drink for me. I do not know why or how, but I think I was drunk, I woke up the next morning and saw myself sleeping next to Emily in my room, we were both naked and it looks like we had sex" Frederick concluded as they all faced Emily.

"What? Why are you guys staring at me like that?" Emily asked, arching her brow at them.

"Do not make me point the gun at you before you start spilling. Seems you are the villain here, you have a lot to tell us, and make sure you say nothing but the truth" Elena said as she frowned.

"I did not do anything wrong, and I have nothing to say" she lied.

"Then why the hell did your dad meet with Mr. Bellos huh?" Laura barked at her.

"Will you kids stop yelling at me?" She yelled back at them.

"Just talk mom!" Sarah yelled at her almost tearing up now.

She gave Sarah a long horrid look before she opened her mouth and spoke.

"Before that day my dad met with Mr. Bellos, I have been disturbing him constantly that I wanted Frederick to marry me. I could not bear seeing both of them together and whenever I say something bad about Ruth to Frederick, he never listens, rather he yelled at me. And I loved him so much. But the feeling was not mutual, he loved Ruth rather, and that tape was recorded when Ruth and Frederick had not started dating, that was when I was still poisoning her mind that he was an arrogant jerk that wants her as a fling"

FLASHBACK

"What are you saying you can not help me get married to Frederick huh? I want him and that is all that matters!' Emily yelled at her dad.

"And what if he does not love you the same? We can not force him to get married to you, just because you love him. What about his opinion? Does it not matter? Emily, please stop pestering my life. I have lots of things to think of" Her dad warned.

"So, you are seriously not going to help me? You are going to turn your back at me right?" Her dad dropped the newspaper he holding and raised his brow at her.

"What do you expect me to do, Emily? I can not force him to get married to you" She smiled and nodded her head.

"Ok then, how about I tell mom you are having an affair with the neighbor next door huh? Just watch as your reputation and this family gets ruined and trust me... " she didn't finish her speech as her dad gagged her mouth with his palms.

"Shhhhhh! What if your mom hears you? Just stop ok? What do you think you are doing?" Her dad said frustrated as he scratched his hair.

"The ball is in your court dad" she folded her arms and stared at him, watching him uncomfortably shuffle his leg.

"Ok, Fine! I will do what you ask! Don't just spill! Do not tell your mom please" Her dad said as she smiled.

"Great! We have a deal as long as you do what I ask"

"That was how I got my dad to do it and I know he does not like me that much, up till date," she said.

"Yes, your dad actually hates you" Frederick added.

"I did not ask of your opinion. Stay shut till you are asked to talk" Elene told him as he scowled at her. Then she turned to Emily and nodded at her, indicating that she should continue.

"And that night Frederick got drunk. It was all planned out. I drugged him and made him sleep with me. Even as we were having sex, he was calling me Ruth. Stupid right? My dad gave me a little container of blood which I poured on the duvet so he would think I was a virgin. The next morning he woke up next to me, he was freaked out, I knew I was gradually succeeding because Ruth had whispered to me earlier that she would be leaving soon with Frederick but she did not tell me where they were eloping to, that was why I had to act fast" she said and frowned at all the eyes staring at her.

"As I planned with my dad and Mr. Bellos. He came into the room, saw the bed stained with blood, and me crying, he was so furious that Frederick agreed that our wedding should be fixed the next day since he defiled me already"

"There is something you guys are still skipping out. I do not know why, I think Mr. Gilbert's death was framed" Peter said and folded his arms.

"Yes, me too. I have a feeling about that" Liam added. He had been listening attentively too.

"What happened to my granddad?" Elena asked.

And as for Gilbert, my dad said they should talk things out because he came to the reception ground, shouting and ranting. My dad offered him a drink which he poisoned" Emily added.

FLASHBACK

"Hey! Mr. Bellos! We need to talk" he called out as people at the reception ground focused on him.

Emily frowned on seeing this.

"I do not like this, what is he doing here? This old drunk" she muttered to herself.

"Why not? Come, let us go talk. We do not want to disturb the guests" Mr. Brohms held the glass cup and smirked.

"Sure, we need to talk this out," Mr. Bellos said as the three men moved to a corner.

"I do not have much time. My little girl, Ruth, is having a baby for Frederick" he dropped the bombshell immediately.

The other men exchanged surprised glances at each other as Mr. Brohms excused himself and left both men.

Mr. Brohms went to Emily and whispered something to her ears, she shone her eyes in shock and stood up.

"What is it?" Frederick asked as he observed the frowned expression on her face.

"Oh, it is nothing, I will be back" she gave a faux smile.

"I have to check out something" with that, she left with her dad.

When they were in a conceded area, she spoke.

"What do you mean she is pregnant for Frederick?" She barked.

"I do not know. But that is the news her father came with just now. I suspect he might create trouble if he does not get to Frederick"

Emily paced up and down the place with her right thumb placed in between her teeth.

"If Frederick finds out she is pregnant, he would want a divorce. I can not afford to lose him now I just got him. It is not even up to 10 hours since we got married. We have to do something"

"What do you suggest we do? I know Gilbert, he would not rest until he gets to him"

"Then we do not have an option. We have to end him"

"What? I do not understand you" Mr. Brohms said, not want to believe that he was hearing.

"He has to die!" She said as her dad flinched.

"Are you crazy? I will not take part in this."

"Dad!"

"Do not call me! I have been doing all your bidding, but this? Count me out of it. I am not getting myself involved in a murder rap"

"We will look at it like I am the one that did it. His blood will be on my hands, not you. Just do it. Poison him and throw him in the pool, the news would be that he got drunk and fell into the pool and got drowned! No one will suspect"

"I am still not interested"

She hated her father for being scared as she folded her arms.

"You have to do this, Frederick would start looking for me soon. You have no choice dad. If you do not do this last task, I will tell mom about you and Mrs. James. You know what would happen if mom files for a divorce, you would lose everything you have ever worked for" with that, she stormed and left her father dumbfounded.

He walked to Mr. Bellos and Gilbert still discussing as he smiled.

"I have told Frederick, he said he would see you in a second. While we wait, why don't I fix us a drink?" He smiled.

"That would be alright," Mr. Bellos said giving him a look as to be earned a wink from him.

"I can not drink, please. I am working on quitting the bottle" Gilbert said.

"It would be just a shot. You do not have to be worried about anything"

"Well, if you say so" Mr. Brohms left and returned in 30 minutes with a tray.

He gave each and everyone their drink as they started sipping.

Mr. Bellos stood up and said wanted to use the restroom and would be back. Then he left them.

Mr. Brohms watched Gilbert died as he tossed him inside the pool. Then he walked out of that area, on his way, he met Mr. Bellos as he blocked his path.

"What's up?" Bellos asked.

"He is drunk! He said he would be hitting the road" Brohms lied.

"Oh, such a pity" with that, they both walked back to where people were.

"In a few hours time, he was spotted in the pool by a couple. The rest, you know it all" she finalized.

"And you guys painted it that he got drunk and drowned! You actually killed him" Ruth yelled at her as Alex held her down.

"Your dad was just too stubborn," Emily said as Ruth bit her lower lip in pain.

"You were the main enemy Emily. I can not believe you kept all these from me for 18 years!"Frederick hurled at her.

" This was not enough and you went on with a massacre!" Alex was astonished.

"You do not understand how important Sarah is to me, Sometimes I feel nature is trying to pay me back that is why I could only give birth once and gave birth to Sarah 8 months instead of 9 months, I can never conceive again," Emily said facing down.

"That was why you were so furious when you thought she was dead" Peter added.

"Sarah is not our daughter! Nature sure dealt with you. You became barren after you lost your child during childbirth. How would you be in labor just 8 months?" Frederick said as everyone got stoned.

"What do you mean by that?" Emily asked crying as Ruth wiped her tears.

"You should have asked why I never liked Sarah and I did not take her death seriously. And why I retired Liam's dad from the hospital at that early age and after his death, I took his son in" Frederick said as Alex stood up from his squatting position.

"Why don't you start spilling you old fool. And also tell them why you tried to cut my tongue when I was 6" Sarah barked at him.

FLASHBACK (AT THE HOSPITAL)

Frederick paced around the hall as his thought was shattered, he quickly spotted the doctor walking towards him.

"Doctor Liam, how is my wife doing?" Frederick asked as he came out from the ward with his nurses.

"Leave us," he told the nurses as they left, then he looked up at Frederick.

"Mr. Bellos, it is very dangerous for your wife to be at labor in just an eight-month pregnancy. We could have lost both of them. The child died but we managed to save your wife and we had to remove her fallopian tube. She can not conceive again" Doc Liam said as Frederick scratched his hair.

"My wife might kill herself if she hears her baby is dead and she can not conceive anymore," he said disturbed.

"I am sorry for your loss," Doc Liam said and made to leave as he held him back.

"Is there any way you can help me, please? You have to. I will pay you thrice your salary" he pleaded as Doc Liam kept mute and thought about it for a while. this story is written by naomi innocent.

Liam breathed down and adjusted his spectacle.

"There is this lady that just gave birth to non-identical twins, two girls. She is presently in a coma and we can take one of her babies" Doc Liam suggested. ( This story is written by Naomi Innocent. )

"The lady happened to be Ruth and we took one of her twins which was Sarah" he added.

"Oh my God!" Sarah screamed as she and Elena stared at each other.

"This is... Is... Oh my God" Emily cried as Laura covered her mouth with her hand.

"What if I tell you that the good news I wanted to tell you that night was that, I was pregnant with your baby," Ruth said as she let the tears flow down her cheek.

"That's why my dad went to the reception ground to confront your parents"

"I just said that," Emily said with sobs and it seemed she was in shock.
