"No no no, you've got to be kidding me!" Sheriff Ruth said racing towards the ward Vera was coming from as the sergeants followed her.

They got there seeing the med lab technician on the pool of her blood, being stabbed at her throat and Masion who's throat was sliced.

She knelt down between them as her body shook.

"Masion" she said soberly placing two of her fingers on his throat to see if she could feel his pulse, but nothing was there.

"Oh my God!" Crane said angrily as he starred at the two lifeless body on the floor.

"This is a damn Police Station! How did the killer know this hidden scientific ward! How did they get past the cops at the front door?! No ceiling was broken! Nothing was broken, the killer walked right through that door and he wasn't spotted?!" Ruth yelled while crying as the Police Officers there kept mute.

"Unless, the person that did this is one of us! I know he or she is amongst us. But I'm gonna let you know!" She said standing up as she wagged her fingers at them angrily, because she doesn't know who to trust again.

"I'm going to find you and burn you alive! I'll drive a fucking stake through your heart!" She yelled as Kate held her.

If there is anything she hates, she hates loosing her Police Officers.

"Sheriff, I'll advice you should stop saying these. Since you know the killer is one of us or they have an inside man. You should be careful in your choice of words else they might make you or your little girl, Elena the next target" Crane warned as she frowned at him.

"I don't care. They shouldn't dare lay their fucking hands on my daughter, not even a single strand of her hair!' She yelled before walking away angrily.

"I'll go get the ambulance" Kate said walking away.

"Seriously Laura, we are not interested about that Liam of a guy" Peter said resting his back on the couch as Elena walked from Bonnie's room, holding her by her hand.

Elena had been busy inside, wearing Bonnie make up because of the date she said she has with Peter.

"Oh my God, Is this Bonnie? She's so beautiful" Laura said in awe as she stared at Elena's hand work on her face.

"Yh, I've always been beautiful, right Peter?" She asked with a smug smile as Peter stuttered.

Eh.. Emm.. Yes, of.. Of course" he said.

"Are you ready for the date?" She asked him as he became totally lost.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what you are talking about " Peter said confused.

"I hate arguments you know" she said as she walked towards him, she selected a voice record and increased it' volume to the hearing everyone.

She recorded as Peter made the promise to her when they were leaving Fay's house.

"Oh my God!" Peter said as Laura and Elena laughed.

Elena glanced over at Alex who still seem not happy at all.

She studied him for a while and walked to where he was sitting down and sat beside him

"Hey Alex" she said nudging him as he looked up at her.

"Hey" he said calmly.

"Is anything the matter? You know I've been observing you lately and you've been cold ever since we return from the mission. I know I'm not your favorite person because we are always in one fight or the other. I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry for whatever wrong I've done against you and to also say, I do miss your smiles. You know you should smile allot, because your smile looks good on you" she said making him surprise. (This story is written by Naomi Innocent)

"That last line, where did you learn that

from?" He asked perplexed.

"Oh, Bonnie always tell me that when I'm sad" she said smiling as they both glanced towards her who was jumping at Peter.

"What is it?" She asked as he shrugged.

"No, that word is just strange and familiar" he said without stating more as Elena shrugged.

"Yh, anyways. Just smile" she added.

"Yh, thanks" he said with a faux smile.

"So can we go now?" Bonnie whined at Peter who groaned out of frustration.

"Come on Bonnie, can we do it some other time please?" He complained making her arch her brow at him.

"A promise is a promise and it's not meant to be broken" she said smiling at him as Alex stared at her.

For once, he was seeing his sister as something else.

"i know I made a promise and I'm not gonna break it. It's just that, I'm tired, we just returned from a mission few hours ago and tomorrow is our science project, I just need rest please" he stated as she breathed down.

"That's my man, I'll reconsider. So, tomorrow then" she said happily.

"Don't call me that!" He whined as she giggled while she walked upstairs to takeoff her clothes.

"Damn, this beautiful makeover would seriously be in vain?"

"So guys, as I was saying about Liam, his dad was the city's Doctor at Mystic Hollow Hospital from 2001-2006, he got retired by Mayor Bellos order and had to move to his wife's hometown" she stated.

"Why would the mayor retire someone that's not due for retirement?" Peter asked as Laura shrugged not knowing what to say.

"So, Liam is back to Mystic Hollow and news has it that his dad passed away last month" Laura said.

"Who is he staying with in Mystic Hollow? Does he have any relatives here?" Elena asked though not interested

"He doesn't and I don't know who he's staying with" She responded.

"Hmm, strange" she said and stood up.

"So guys, tomorrow is the science fair, I'm going over to Sarah's so we would finalize the project" Elena said taking her bag from the couch.

"Yh, I and Alex would do ours here" Laura said looking at a downcasted Alex as Elena walked out of the house.

"I guess I'll go over to Sophia's place then" Peter said too standing up.

Elena alighted at the Mayor's mansion and was welcomed in because she was a regular visitor now.

She greeted the guards there and smiled at Agent Zoe who nodded and smiled back.

She got into the sitting room and saw a strange boy there, staring at the TV while holding Mystic Hollow magazine as she wondered what he was actually doing.

Is he seeing the TV or reading the magazine? She thought as the noise she made with her feet made him avert his attention towards her.

He tried to recall where he saw her as she opened her mouth in shock staring at him.

Seems Mr. And Mrs. Bellos were absent from home.

"Hey, you're the girl from school right?" He asked recalling her face as Elena couldn't contain her shock.

"Oh my God" She said staring at Chris Liam.

Sarah opened her door from up the stairs and watched them from inside.

"What? Are you surprised to see me here? I actually live here with the mayors" he said with a smirk curled round his lips.

"Oh my God" she muttered to herself.

Sarah came out from behind the door as Elena glanced up at her.

Sarah watched the both of them as Elena nodded and walked towards Sarah upstairs.

Sarah left the door open as she walked to the mini time machine which she had bulit completely.

Elena closed the door behind her as she sat on Sarah's bed.

Sarah seemed preparing to go somewhere as she handed a book she wrote to Elena with the time machine.

"Why giving me the time machine?" She asked staring at the book and she could not understand what she wrote in the book.

"I guess I'll need a little help from Bonnie" she muttered to herself as Sarah dressed up, taking her spectacle from her little box.

Unknown to Elena, the book Sarah wrote to her was titled, ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE TIME MACHINE.

Sarah knew she can't talk to defend the project and Elena have to do it, that was why she handed the project and the defence to her.

They'll have to meet at school tomorrow for the science fair.

"Seems you're living" Elena said standing up from the bed as Sarah handed a box to her which she kept the time machine.

She tied a scarf around her neck as she carried her drawing book and journal.

"Ok, I'll be on my way too" Elena said as she and Sarah walked out of the room while Sarah locked the door.

They got to the living room and it was empty, Liam was gone.

They both went outside as Elena left for Alex's house so Bonnie would decipher whatever Sarah wrote.

Sarah stood outside her mansion as agent Zoe pleaded with her to allow them go with her as escorts, Sarah shook her head negatively and wrote on the ground.

"I'd be back shortly"

With that, she left the gate, heading to Mystic Hollow cemetery. she has two gravestones to drop flowers on.

AT SCHOOL, THE SCIENCE FAIR.

The students of MYSTIC HOLLOW HIGH SCHOOL in the 12th grade were all tensed because of the science fair that was holding that day.

They were all in twos except Elena who has been looking for Sarah and it seemed the science fair would start anytime soon.

"Hey Elena, what you still doing here? The bell has been rung, all the science masters are waiting for us at the lab already" Laura who held their project with Alex standing beside her said.

"Yes, I know. I'm looking for Sarah, have you seen her today?" She asked worried as they both shook their heads.

"Nope" Laura said while Alex just gave a negative sign with his head.

"We'll be on our way now" Laura said as she and Alex walked away.

Elena stayed there for a while before walking towards the lab, she saw Sophia and Peter with Sophia holding their project.

She greeted them as they responded.

"Have you seen Sarah?" She asked him.

"I've not seen her since today" he said as the warning bell rang for the last time.

"Come on let's go!" Sophia said dragging Peter away as Elena just stood there motionless.

"Where are you Sarah?" She muttered to herself as she walked to the lab too.

The 14 physics masters were seated in a row without Mr. Adams being an exception.

The trophy to be won was on the big table that had their papers and bottled water.

There was a stage where each student have to come and defend their project, they've been calling names and they are at the number 4 set.
