Chapter 30: Chapter 30

After drinking each other’s blood, Sesha collapsed onto Lucien’s chest, who felt suspicious liquids between his legs; his breathing was calm.

He looks at her with a satisfied smile... now, just like with Scarlet, Selene, and Roxana, he feels a deep connection, sensing her emotions.

For a moment, he could feel them all: their emotions, their essence. It was a strange experience... and liberating.

But most importantly, he now feels complete.

Lucien doesn’t know how to describe it, as if all the pieces of his existence had finally come together. The emptiness that had accompanied him since he became a vampire vanishes, replaced by a strange, almost overwhelming fullness.

Suddenly, the sound of chains can be heard.

"Hmm?" He doesn’t know where the sound is coming from, but he feels that something has changed... although he has no idea what. He feels that it’s important. ’What is this? What’s going on?’ His mind is filled with questions.

However, feeling Sesha’s calm breathing on his chest, he decides not to think too much and enjoys the moment. His hand moves like a snake and grabs her butt.

He smiles and closes his eyes, falling fast asleep.

"Lucien," a woman’s voice calls out from the room.

"Five more minutes," Lucien replies, snuggling even closer to Sesha’s body.

"Tsk." Scarlet clicks her tongue; the sight annoys her. She sniffs the air, and her mood only grows worse. "...What’s wrong with me?" she wonders, confused, as if she doesn’t recognize herself.

"Hmm~." Sesha moves lazily and puts one foot on Lucien, placing herself in a very dangerous position.

She looks completely satisfied; Scarlet could see that her skin was glowing. She frowns, even more annoyed, and gives off a heavy, murderous intent.

"!!!" Lucien suddenly opens his eyes, which glow dangerously with an intense blood red color, and assumes a fighting stance; even his body is covered in red lightning bolts.

When he sees Scarlet, his expression relaxes and a smile appears as he senses her emotions... He disappears in flashes of red light and reappears in front of her.

"You..." Scarlet was about to say something, but her mouth was sealed by Lucien’s lips. She didn’t resist and enjoyed the long kiss.

He pulls back, creating a string of saliva between them, and smiles mischievously: "What a unique way to wake me up," he said, his eyes returning to their natural green.

"Hmph!" She snorted, turning her face away; she has no intention of talking about it.

He sighed with a smile; the murderous intent he had felt a moment ago was like death breathing down his neck. "By the way, dear, why did you call me?" he asked. He takes a black suit out of the closet and changes.

"Oh, really?" Scarlet remembered why she had come to the room: "We’re going to Nightingale."

Lucien took a moment to react; a flash appeared in his eyes, and he said, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go."

Before leaving with Scarlet, Lucien gives Sesha a gentle kiss on the cheek, and she smiles contentedly in her sleep.

After that, the two disappear from the room.

"Hmm..." Sesha moved onto the bed with the grace of a cat that had just been fed, letting out a satisfied sigh.

It had been a long time since she had felt so good... or so full. Lucien’s blood was too delicious. "I definitely have to make us do this more often," she murmured half-asleep, with a smile of pure happiness.

She raised her hand, groping for her husband’s muscular chest... but all she touched was a cold sheet.

"Where is my husband?" she asked aloud, hoping Lucien would magically emerge from some corner.

Sesha sighed and fell onto her back. "Ugh... searching for him in this huge castle... how tiresome." Just imagining it made her tired.

But then something sparkled on the dressing table.

A golden light, shining brightly, like a divine treasure.

"Huh?" Her eyes widened. "My handheld console!"

She jumped up and reverently took it in her hands. It was like a sacred artifact... Googlᴇ search novel~fire~net

Until she saw the battery indicator.

Her expression changed instantly. "WHAT?! FIVE PERCENT?! NOOOO!" She screamed as if she had just lost a thousand-year war.

She ran around looking for the charger.

"Where is it, where is it, where is it?!" She checked under the bed, inside the closet, even in the decorative coffin in the corner.

Finally, she found it triumphantly.

"Ha! Nothing stops the Queen of the Night!" ...Until she realized she didn’t know where the plug was.

"... the devil takes me."

Then her eyes lit up with a bright red glow, and with a wave of her hand, everything began to float: cushions, furniture, curtains... everything!

"If the plug doesn’t come to me... I’ll go to the plug!" she declared with the dignity of a shōnen heroine.

She finally plugged in the charger, let out a triumphant sigh, and threw herself back onto the bed, settling herself among the floating sheets.

She turned on the console.

"Time to pray... Blasphemous, my sweet redemption."

After a few hours, Sesha was still lying on the bed, with the handheld console glued to her face, and an expression of absolute concentration.

Until she noticed something strange. On the screen, just behind the final boss, two motionless shadows were reflected.

Sesha blinked. "Hmm?"

She looked up and saw, indeed, the faces of Selene and Roxana standing by the bed, watching her with neutral expressions... too neutral.

"Hello~" she greeted cheerfully, waving a hand without taking her eyes off the console.

Selene didn’t react. She just took a step forward, her icy aura making the air heavy.

"Where is my darling?" she asked in a voice so serious that even the furniture trembled slightly. She could smell him... in the air, on the sheets... and on Sesha.

"Tsk." She clicked her lips, annoyed. Her mood soured instantly, and her eyes turned into two black holes, spinning as if searching for something to kill.

Sesha slowly looked up. "Hmm, I don’t know, when I woke up, he wasn’t beside me anymore." She said in such a carefree tone that it was an insult to the gravity of the situation.

Sesha almost dropped the console when she heard the crackling sound: it was the sound of the floor cracking under Selene’s feet. "..." The blue-haired vampire stood still as a statue, smiling nervously.

Roxana, for her part, sighed with the elegance of someone accustomed to witnessing chaos. She rubbed the bridge of her nose and said wearily, "It’s getting worse and worse."

She looked at Sesha with resignation. "At least you have an idea of where to find him, right?"

Sesha rolled her eyes lazily, as if she had been asked to solve a quantum equation at three in the morning. "Yes, yes... it must be in that place," she said wearily.

"Where?" Selene asked impatiently, her fangs barely visible.

At that moment, the temperature dropped dramatically. Steam came out of their mouths, and the air seemed to freeze.

Sesha let out a long, dramatic sigh and finally said in a calm voice, as she dropped the console onto the bed:

Selene narrowed her eyes, her icy aura intensified, and suddenly everything disappeared as if it had never been there in the first place, and a radiant smile appeared on her lips:

"Perfect... then I’ll catch up with my darling~."

Roxana crossed her arms, resigned. "Ever since she met darling, she’s changed drastically. Ugh..."

She remembers that Selene wasn’t like that before; she was much colder... Although that could have just been a facade, because she hadn’t found a husband before.

Sesha shrugs and speaks while changing clothes: "I just hope that attitude doesn’t bother Lucien... because if you bother him, well, I don’t even want to imagine it."

Vampire World, Nightingale.

A dark city stretched out before him, its Gothic architecture evoking the somber elegance of the Victorian era. Hidden danger seemed to lurk around every corner, as if the shadows themselves were watching hungrily.

It was a city born for vampires.

Lucien looked up. Two moons reigned in the sky: one silver and serene, the other smaller, tinged with a deep red that bathed the rooftops in a bloody glow.

"Welcome to the City of the Crimson Moon," he heard a man’s voice say.

He looked down and asked, "Who are you?"

"Me? My name is Walter," he replied, but suddenly another voice added:

"What are you doing standing there? Follow me. If you get lost, you could wake up dead somewhere unknown."

"Heh~ You’re saying this city is that dangerous." Lucien smiles, amused.

"Of course, if it weren’t for me, they would have kidnapped you already." Scarlet bares all her sharp teeth, letting out a heavy, murderous intent.

All the female vampires who have been watching Lucien from the shadows fled in fear, not wanting to die at the hands of that madwoman.

Faced with this, instead of being frightened, he smiled broadly, looked around, and thought that this place was very interesting.

"Sigh, did my husband acquire suicidal tendencies when he became a vampire?" Scarlet shook her head, but the smile on her face had not disappeared.

"By the way, where are we going?" he asked.

"We’re going to my territory," Scarlet replied, and a carriage pulled by a Friesian horse stopped in front of her, and the coachman was Walter.

They climb into the carriage, and it begins to move along the cobbled streets.
