Chapter 29: Chapter 29
Lucien followed Scarlet along with the five vampires into the castle.
And the view did not disappoint: it was just as one imagines a vampire’s castle to be, with antique chandeliers, torches embedded in the walls, and, in the corners where the light did not reach, sleeping bats could be seen.
Suddenly, his eyes glowed crimson and his world turned blood red. The walls disappeared before his eyes and he saw all the vampires in the castle... there were more than 100 of them!
"Scarlet, why are there so many vampires here?" he asked directly, curious.
"Hmm?" Scarlet looked at him and pointed to a spot: "Can you see them?"
"Heh~" She smiled, pleased. Lucien shouldn’t be able to see them; those vampires were trained to hide their presence. That he could see them was a big surprise. ’My husband is full of surprises... plus, he has great potential.’ She licked her lips sensually.
"They are responsible for protecting this place," she finally replied, in a disinterested tone.
"I see..." His vision returned to normal. He was curious, but realizing that Scarlet had no intention of explaining further, he decided to simply enjoy the surroundings.
It’s not every day you get to walk inside a castle as old as this one.
As he climbed the stairs, a vampire bumped into him.
"Damn! Look where I’m going..." The vampire was about to say something, but he swallowed his words when he met Lucien’s gaze: "Y-You...! What the hell are you?" He pointed at him with a trembling finger, as if he had encountered Satan himself.
"???" Lucien looked at the vampire, confused. ’What is he talking about?’ He couldn’t help but sigh; he had just arrived in Romania and already found himself in this situation.
The vampire, still trembling, looked at Scarlet. "What the hell are you carrying for Nightingale?" he asked, looking her in the eyes.
"What on earth are you talking about, Zyren?" Scarlet let out a long sigh, tired. "He’s still as crazy as ever."
Zyren had unkempt white hair, wore a rather faded old suit, as if the color had disappeared, and was about 5’9" tall.
"HAHAHAHA! Interesting, interesting! And to think I would encounter something ... a being as unique as you." His laughter turned maniacal as his body decomposed into a swarm of bats, and he pointed at Lucien: "You... will speak with God."
And as the last bats vanished, the echo of their laughter hung in the air, like a curse.
"Can someone tell me what just happened?" Lucien asked aloud; it had all been too sudden.
"Ignore him, he’s just a crazy vampire," Scarlet said, continuing up the stairs.
"It seems like you know him," Lucien stood beside her.
"Yes, I know him... I think it was 800 years ago when I met him, and he told me I was going to marry him and have a child," she said in a neutral tone.
"Oh, and what did you do to him?"
"I beat him up. How could a piece of trash like him tell me I would marry him?" Scarlet snorted, annoyed: "Because if that were true, I’d be married to a lunatic now, not you."
At the time, she didn’t think much of it; it was just the ramblings of a madman, but... ’How has that guy been alive for so long?’ she thought for a brief moment before ignoring it.
Lucien didn’t think much of it either, but one thing stuck in his mind... ’I’ll talk to God...’ That left him pensive.
After going upstairs, they arrive at a hallway full of old doors, and one of the vampires guiding them opens one of them and says:
"This is your room, Lady Scarlet."
The room was like something out of a movie about royalty in the Middle Ages: a large king-size bed, thick black curtains, a dressing table made of mahogany wood.
Lucien felt as if he had traveled back in time for a few moments, but he wasn’t sleepy enough to stay and admire it, so he lay down on the comfortable king-size bed.
And before falling asleep, he muttered:
"Ha, as if I’m going to talk to God."
Meanwhile, in New York.
Selene is packing her things to leave for Romania. She had already tied up some loose ends, but according to information she received from her subordinates, Loic had some kind of confrontation and, from the residual energy, it was clear that he had been attacked by the Inquisition.
"To think that the traitor would also be betrayed," she snorted with disdain and finished packing to reunite with her darling. Follow current novels on NoveIFire.net
Now she just has to wait for nightfall to travel to Romania to reunite with her darling; she hasn’t seen him in more than a few hours and is already beginning to get impatient.
She wants to drink his blood!
She wants to kiss him!
She urgently needs her dose of vitamin L!
And most importantly: to consummate the marriage!
With a big smile on her lips, Selene lies down on the bed imagining how Lucien will completely destroy her.
At the top of a skyscraper, Roxana sits with a cold expression, attending a virtual meeting with one of her clients.
Her mind is not on the call at this moment... but on Lucien, her husband, to whom she has been married for less than a month, and with whom she feels deeply connected.
It was a strange feeling... but it wasn’t bad at all; on the contrary, she was fascinated by it.
’I should thank Selene for the idea of turning him into a vampire, even though it wasn’t what we expected.’ She smiles amusedly, but she wants to see him right away, although first she has to take care of her company’s business.
She ends the call with the client, leans back in her chair, and remembers how she found her servants dead... and how weak she is right now to face a group of hunters.
"Let’s just buy the tickets to go see my husband. I don’t want to spend another second in this office." She sighs, opens her laptop, and buys the first-class tickets.
Lucien was still at the castle, bored. He had gone out to explore the city of Sibiu, which is in the Transylvania region, and was enchanted; the whole atmosphere was different from that of New York.
But what saddened him most was that he couldn’t sample the local cuisine, because now he was a vampire and could only drink blood.
It was truly unfortunate: "I won’t be able to taste the culinary delights... although I will be able to taste the blood of their wives."
But now... he was very bored. He thought that once he arrived he would train or at least read about vampire society, but it was quite the opposite. Scarlet hadn’t seen her for a day.
"I want to drink the blood of my wives." He collapsed onto the bed.
"Oh~ Well then, I can help you with that." A woman’s calm and provocative voice was heard in the room.
Lucien had already recognized her by her scent and was smiling. Standing up, he saw the beautiful woman with dark blue hair and a figure that would be the envy of all models, with E-cup breasts, smiling sensually at him. She was wearing provocative blue lace lingerie that highlighted her beautiful figure.
"If it’s from a beautiful vampire like you, I won’t refuse," he flashed a mischievous smile.
Sesha climbed onto the bed, moved closer to him, and kissed him.
Their tongues played with each other for a few minutes, then she stopped kissing him and licked her lips sensually.
"...You’re quite daring," he commented with a slight smile.
She smiled sweetly: "You’re wrong, honey."
"Mmm?" He looked at her curiously.
"I just enjoy what’s mine," she said, placing her hand on his chest and caressing it.
She gave Lucien a seductive smile, sat up a little, and began to crawl around him. As she began to crawl , he could see her two white rabbits, soft and fluffy.
Lucien looked into Sesha’s eyes and, seeing her seductive expression, couldn’t help but be captivated by the image; she was so beautiful.
She looked like a succubus trying to seduce him.
Slowly, she climbed back onto his lap, sat on his crotch, gently wrapped her arms around his chest, and rested her head on his chest.
When she did that, he could feel her two breasts against his chest. He swallowed dryly, holding himself back from jumping on Sesha.
Lucien leaned down and kissed her, starting at her forehead and moving down her nose, her cheeks, and finally her lips.
"Hmm~" Sesha let out a provocative sound and gave herself over to the kiss, wrapping her arms around Lucien’s neck as she eagerly returned his affection.
"Darling~" she murmured against Lucien’s lips.
She intensified the kiss, pouring all her pent-up desires into him.
As they kissed, Lucien’s hands roamed her body, caressing the soft curves he had been admiring moments before.
Sesha shuddered under his touch, a low, pleasurable moan escaping her throat when he found particularly sensitive spots.
Suddenly, Lucien felt fangs sink into his collarbone.
He shuddered as he felt his blood being sucked, and his grip on her tightened involuntarily.
Lucien’s fangs lengthened and sank into Sesha’s collarbone, and he began to drink her blood, which had a unique taste he couldn’t quite describe.
"Ahh~!" She arched her back, letting out a sensual moan that only turned Lucien on even more.
