Chapter 26: Chapter 26

In a building located several kilometers away from where the battle between the hunters and vampires took place, seven people could be seen wearing black suits that covered their entire bodies and completely black masks that hid their facial expressions.

And facing these individuals was a man wearing black jeans and a black V-neck T-shirt.

"We have to eliminate that vampire; he has broken the rules, he has exposed us." One of the seven masked beings spoke in an unrecognizable tone.

"He must pay; the Vampire King’s rules are absolute. He must be eliminated."

Two masked men agreed to eliminate the newborn vampire Lucien, but the remaining five remained silent, watching the man cautiously.

"Hmm..." the man hummed, his eyes glowing bright red, exuding a heavy murderous intent as he seemed to be thinking about something important.

The two masked men stopped talking and looked at the man suspiciously; they didn’t want to die.

Slowly, he put his hand on his chin and looked at them all with a serious expression: "You’re focused on the wrong place. Scarlet will know what to do. The important thing is to get rid of the traitor Loic."

"But he exposed us..." The masked man couldn’t finish his sentence when he saw the man’s cold face.

"I said Scarlet is in charge. You guys keep looking for that traitor, understood?"

"Yes, Mr. Cedris," replied the masked man quickly, as if he were a soldier obeying his superior.

The man’s eyes stopped shining, and he soon smiled kindly. "Thank you for your hard work. You may leave now."

They were frozen by the man’s sudden changes; it was too chaotic.

"What are you waiting for? Out, out!" he said with disdain.

The seven masked figures awoke from their stupor and quickly disappeared.

Seeing the masked figures disappear, he spoke with a smile:

"To think that the first Vampire King would take that form."

But soon his expression changed to a serious face: "But first I must take care of a few things."

While plans were being hatched in the shadows, elsewhere in the city, the supposed ’Vampire King’ was experiencing a much more earthly drama...

"So this is... my vampire life with my beautiful vampire wives. I really am a very lucky man."

Lucien looks at them with a big, happy smile, which makes them blush, except for Scarlet, who smiles sensually.

He gets up from the luxurious sofa, approaches Sesha and Scarlet, looks them straight in the eyes, smiling. "Follow me," he says, heading for one of the rooms.

"Fufufu~ but how tacky of you, ’Husband,’" Scarlet laughs, her eyes shining dangerously, understanding what he wants: "How can you invite a lady to your room like that?"

"Oh, really? How do I do that?" Lucien looks at her, amused, curious to see what his wife will do.

Suddenly, he feels his whole body go numb... His heart is pounding, his instincts screaming at him to run, but he can’t; he’s paralyzed.

He sees Scarlet get up and approach him sensually with a big smile.

"That’s how you invite a lady." She tries to grab him like a princess, but Lucien bites his tongue and snaps out of his paralysis, covering her body with red rays.

"Oh~" Scarlet smiles and follows Lucien with her gaze, and when he goes to grab her, she disappears, leaving him bewildered.

"Where is she?" Lucien looks around. It’s the first time anyone has been so quick, but before he realizes it, he feels the air leaving his body. ’What the hell?’ he thinks before losing consciousness.

Scarlet reappears, "This is how you carry a lady to her room," she says, lifting her husband’s unconscious body as if he were a princess and walking to one of the rooms.

A heavy silence falls in the living room; it all happened too fast.

"Aren’t you going with them?" asked Roxana, pointing elegantly in the direction Scarlet had taken Lucien.

Sesha, now comfortably stretched out on another sofa with a state-of-the-art portable console, didn’t even look up. "I don’t want a 1,500-year-old vampire watching me drink my husband’s blood," she said calmly, as if she were talking about the weather.

"..." A moment ago, you were naked with him, you shameless woman!? Roxana wanted to shout at her, but she held back. A lady does not lose her composure over a tramp. She just sighed.

Then she glanced sideways at Selene...

Who remained completely frozen, staring into space with the same expression as a traumatized mannequin.

Roxana waved a hand in front of her face. Nothing.

She blinked, sighed, and finally leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Scarlet is going to take Lucien’s virginity."

"WHAT!?" Selene jumped up, her eyes glowing blood red: "That mummy won’t get my darling’s first time!"

Roxana watched her storm off in a rage; her lifeless expression said it all. Then she snapped her fingers, remembered something important, and muttered, "Oh, right... I haven’t been to work for days."

She took out her phone as if it were the most natural thing in the world, dialed a number, and, as the phone rang, added with a sigh:

"I hope my company’s stock hasn’t fallen too much..."

Shortly after, Selene returned to the living room and sat down on the sofa with an extremely cold expression that could freeze hell itself.

Roxana and Sesha looked at her, but decided not to say anything and continued with what they were doing.

"Perfect... the nuisance is gone," Scarlet murmured with a satisfied smile. Then she tilted her head, letting her red hair fall over her shoulder. "How long do you plan to pretend to be asleep, dear?"

Lucien slowly opened one eye, feigning laziness. "Was it necessary to hit me so hard?" he asked with a weary sigh.

"Fufufu~ That was your fault," Scarlet replied with a mischievous gleam in her eyes. Her cold fingers brushed his cheek with such a delicate caress that it made his skin tingle.

"My fault?" Lucien snorted, smiling incredulously. "Just because I didn’t let myself be carried around like a princess?" His hand slid down to Scarlet’s waist, pulling her closer naturally.

For a moment, the air between them became thick, charged with desire and danger.

Lucien had to restrain himself from throwing himself at her neck and tasting that blood that called to him like a forbidden melody.

Scarlet’s mature sensuality was driving him wild. And deep down, he knew it: he was an absurdly lucky man...

He looked into Scarlet’s eyes, and seeing her seductive expression, he couldn’t help but be captivated by the sight; she was so beautiful.

Slowly, she climbs onto Lucien’s lap, sits on his crotch, gently wraps her arms around his chest, and rests her head on his chest.

When she did that, he could feel her chest.

He could feel her steady breathing. As soon as she moved away a little and looked at me, he could see that her eyes were red as blood.

Lucien leaned over her, his fangs lengthening as his gaze fixed on those provocative collarbones. He was about to sink them into her skin when Scarlet stopped him with a single finger on her lips.

"Did you think you would drink my blood so easily, dear~?" she said with a mischievous smile, her voice as soft as a caress. She rose gracefully.

Lucien frowned, reluctant to accept this. A burst of red lightning shot through his body as he lunged toward her, determined to catch her. But Scarlet moved with grace and effortlessly dodged him, laughing with delicious mockery.

Unwilling to give up, Lucien increased the power of his lightning bolts. A thin line of blood formed on his lips from the pressure, but he still couldn’t touch her.

In the room, crimson flashes lit up the walls and curtains. For several minutes, only the electric hum and Scarlet’s amused laughter could be heard.

Finally, Lucien collapsed exhausted onto the bed, drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. Scarlet, on the other hand, remained standing, impeccable, not a drop of sweat on her immaculate skin.

Scarlet leaned over him. A satisfied smile curved her lips before she moved closer to his ear.

"As a reward for your efforts... I will allow you to taste my blood, dear."

Lucien immediately understood the game. With the strength he had left, he pulled her toward him and sank his fangs into her neck.

"Ahh~" Scarlet’s moan was soft, almost musical, as her expression shifted between pleasure and hunger. Her eyes, glowing like embers, narrowed before she responded: her lips parted on his skin, and Lucien felt the burning bite that took his breath away.

Their breaths intertwined. Every sip, every touch, ignited the air between them.

Lucien held her tightly, his arms wrapping around her waist as if afraid of losing her, and his instincts guided him: his lips descended to Scarlet’s collarbone, where he bit again.

After a few minutes of sucking her blood, Lucien felt a deep connection with Scarlet. He could sense her emotions, just as he had with Roxana and Selene, and he knew it was because of the ritual.

"Scarlet, do you know why that hunter called me son of the devil?" he asked.

She looks at Lucien with a slight smile on her face:

"Who knows? I’m quite old, you know?"

Lucien froze; he hadn’t expected her to respond like that.
