"babe let's call it a day cause I'm already tired of this place." I told him.

"okay sweetie let's get going." he waited for me and i arranged my things.

We were getting ready to move out of the office when we heard a knock on the door and Carlton opened it.

"ohh hey there guys...i see you are set to leave." Carlos asked as he got inside.

"yes bro...so what are you doing here at this time??" Carlton asked him.

"well Carol told me that you are resigning so i came right away and good enough i caught up with you guys." he said.

"ohh Jeez that girl loves gossiping!!! but anyways she told you the truth and starting from next month am going to be working with my wife." Carlton said and he held my hand after looking me straight in the eyes.

"ohhh okay that's good but how were you able to convince our boss cause he loves you so much he can't just let you go like that??" Carlos asked.

"yah it wasn't that easy but just know that i somehow managed to convince him and he finally accepted to let me go." he told him.

"okay then i wish you all the best here in this company as well." Carlos said while looking at me with a smile.

I don't know if Carlton saw it cause if he did,then he will get in big trouble for looking at me like that.

"let's go now please." i told Carlton.

He opened the door and we moved out of the office and after locking it,we went to the parking lot to meet our car.

"uhm guys drive safely,i will be on my way as well." Carlos wished us.

"okay then..safe journey too and please don't forget tomorrow we are having a meeting very early in the morning so don't be late." Carlton told him.

"worry not bro." he replied him.

He first set off in his car then we also got into ours and we left the company.

"what would you like to eat?? i can prepare something light once we reach at home." i asked him.

"what!!? no sweetie,you don't have to go through all that when we are both coming from work!! let's just get something from the restaurant before we reach home." he said.

"but i actually don't mind cooking for you." I told him.

"that's so sweet of you my love but in this scenario where by we are both coming from work,we shall always buy food from the restaurant." he got my hand and pecked it at the back then he stared at me before putting his focus back on the road.

We reached the restaurant then after parking the car,we got out and moved inside the restaurant but my eyes landed on this one girl i didn't like from the start.

"Ohh hey guys...please don't tell me you are stalking me??!!" she asked us while moving in our direction and if she didn't see us,I l was about to tell babe to get out of the restaurant immediately before she sees us but too bad now.

"no i think it's just a coincidence cause we are also here to get some food." Carlton replied her.

"ohh is that so?? but why do you spend money on this food when you got yourself a wife huh!!? if she can't cook,there are a number of tutorials on YouTube which can truly help her to become a better cook." she said it out loud and everyone was looking at us now.

"uhm excuse me Carol but you have no right to talk about my wife like that and whether she knows how to cook or not,that's totally none of your business okay?? so back off." Carlton told her.

"haha ohh Carlton you never change!! you are always protective over your things and i love you for that." she said while touching on his coat.

Ohh God can't this stupid girl stop flirting with my man already?? i was now fuming with anger and thank God Carlton noticed it then he was like.

"sweetie i think we go to the next restaurant." he held my hand and we turned to move out but Carol was like,

"Carlton trust me when i say that these guys cook your favorite meal in an amazing way you will never find anywhere else."she said.

This girl is something else!! so she basically just wanted to let me know that she knows my husband's favorite dish?? wow so lame...I looked back at her and she was smirking and she should be thankful that we are in a restaurant and i wouldn't want to create a scene in here.

"babe don't mind her please...let's just leave." Carlton put his hand around my waist and we moved out of the restaurant.

We went to the next restaurant around and we bought our food but i was still thinking about that Carol girl.

"Sweetie according to your face you are still bothered by Carol right??" he asked me.

"of course i am...like what is she trying to prove huh?? she is really provoking me but she is soon getting what she is looking for from me...i also run out of patience especially when someone is being so annoying just like her." I replied him.

"ohh baby don't give her attention please cause that is exactly what she is looking for so don't give it to her...in that case she will eventually give up." he pecked me on the cheek to calm me down.

"okay if you say so but if we happen to meet again and she talks trash,then am going to play along cause i can't just keep quiet all the time...i just met her today but she is already ruining my life eishh!!." I told him.

He rubbed my cheek with his thumb and when we reached home,we moved inside the house.
