Author's POV

"Eric!"

Angela's heart quivers as she runs toward Eric in dread as her soul is going out of her body at this moment to see him wounded and unconsciously bleeding like this in front of her eye.

Her anger, her hate, her frustration everything vanished at this moment and all she could see now is the man she fell in love with without knowing and now seeing him unconscious giving her so much pain that even her breathing turned out hard to watch him. Her forehead turned sweaty, her heart beating violently against her chest.

The love she wanted to hide started showing in the form of tears which started to flow nonstop. While she immediately bent down to take his head on her lap with trembling hands and tried to call out his name so desperately.

"Eric! Eric!" Her one hand moved on his cheeks. While she could watch, the blood was everywhere.

"Open your eyes!" Her voice shattered almost while her tears fell on his face. She was completely panicked to let him open his eyes but there was no movement at all. She desperately tried to call him but everything was in vain. Her whole body shook to see him not responding to her. While she moves her finger to check on his breathing. And to her pray, he is slowly breathing. She bent to check on his heartbeat and there is still a slow heartbeat. This all gave her hope and strength to immediately look around to see if any car or any people showed up to help him.

But all she saw was an empty road.

She shiveringly made Eric lie on the ground while she stood up and started shouting…

"HELP!"

"HELP!"

"If anyone could hear my voice! Please help me!"

Her tears came out while she couldn't see any person or car at all. She felt terrified and went toward Eric's back. While taking his head on her lap.

"Eric, p-please stay s-strong! I'll s-save you!"

Her voice shook while she tried to check on Eric's suit jacket if she could find a phone to call. And to her prayer, she finds his phone immediately and the last number he called is guards.

She immediately called them and told them that Eric got into a car accident and she needed help.

Within a few minutes, guards come with a driver.

They saw a shocking view where Angela is wiping the blood from Eric's forehead from her ripping dress.

They immediately rushed towards them. While seeing them, Angela finally smiled with hope. Now she can save Eric.

"You all came! Please save my Eric!" She mumbled between sobs.

"Madam! Please move out! We need to rush to the hospital!"

Angela immediately moved from Eric while two men and a driver helped Eric to settle in the back seat while Angela sat beside him and adjusted his injured head on her thighs. She prays to God with a panicked heart not to happen anything wrong with Eric.

The car ran at full speed towards the hospital.

In the middle of the road, guards called the hospital and informed them about the accident, so they could arrange everything as soon as they arrived there.

Within a fifteen minutes fast drive, they went to the hospital. Where doctors, nurses, and ward boys are already ready with everything.

When they entered the hospital the ward boys and doctors rushed to take out Eric from the back seat and placed him in a wheeled bed. Angela was seeing everything with tears while her whole clothes were drenched in blood to come here.

Anyone could realize the accident is big enough to take somebody's life. But Eric is still breathing which gets a doctor to do everything fast to save his life.

"Doctor please save him!" Angela looked at the doctors with begging eyes.

"We will try to do everything to save him! Please be relaxed, Mam!" The doctor responded while he ordered ward boys to go directly towards the emergency room with Eric.

Angela's one hand always grabbed his hands until he entered the emergency room with doctors and she finally let go of his hand with sorrow.

She was desperately looking at the emergency room with redder eyes as she remembered how he himself came in front of the truck to save her! Without even thinking about his own life. She should be in his place if he didn't come at the right moment to push her.

"Why do you need to jump, to save me?" She mumbled between her breaths. While her every breath praying for his recovery.

She thought she could run away from him. But now she feels like a fool. She can't do that, now she knows that better.

Her soul almost shattered whenever she thought about Eric lying on the ground between the pull of blood.

Suddenly the emergency door opened and one nurse came out in a rush.

Angela wanted to ask about Eric's condition, so she immediately rushed to her and held her arm to stop him.

"Sister, how is he?" Her voice was shaking with nervousness.

The nurse was in a hurry so she instantly responded, "Mam, His condition is not good! Now let me go, we are still in the middle of the procedure!"

Angela's eyes widen in shock and she loses her grip on her while the nurse immediately runs to bring some stuff and comes back in a rush to lock the door again behind her.

"No! Nothing is going to happen to him!" Angela mumbled with panic.

"He is going to be well! He is strong! I know! I know…" She feels in turmoil while mumbling these words again and again.

"Eric…please don't disappear! Please stay alive for me!" Her voice turned out whispered while her tears started running non-stop. She was completely scared to lose him at this moment. While breathing turned out too hard for her with every passing second. She doesn't know what to do anymore.

"If I didn't run like that! It's not happened to him! He never got into an accident because of me!"

She started to blame herself as her hands rushed on her scalp to feel suffocating with this hard realization.

No matter how much she tried to hate him but deep inside her heart already started beating for him.

And this moment, she suddenly remembered their happy love moment where he smiled brightly and confessed his love to her.

"Eric!" She screamed out with pain.
