Author's POV

"Talk to your mom!"

"She called you last night...but…"

"You need to talk in front of me and don't try to tell her the truth or you know what can I do…"

Eric's words made her feel angry, after last night's incident.

She felt too much hurt because of him as she thought after saying sorry to her, he will change his mind and let her go the next morning but no he just ignored the last night's matter and came with a phone only to tell her this.

"Eric, you are truly a double face…"

Angela didn't want to talk to him more as she just coldly snatched the phone from him to call her mom, she wanted to talk to her so much right now. She felt so tired going these up and down movements every day with Eric. The hectic and helpless days.

She immediately dialed her mom's number which the next moment was immediately picked up by her mom.

"Hello, Angela!"

"Mom…" Angela's eyes turned red when she heard her mom's voice. After two days of misery.

"Angela, how are you baby? After going to Ella's house, you forget about your mom? Huh?" Angela looked at Eric who was just standing in front of her wrapping his arms around his chest while his gaze fixed on her face without any expression on his top. As she finally responded to her mom.

"Sorry, mom, Ella told me to stay with her as we met after so long...and I couldn't deny her...as I also needed the change…"

As soon as she said that line, Eric's eyes bored on her while she avoided him to listen to her mom's glad tone from another side.

"I know sweetheart...and I'm happy to see you moving in your life. You stay happy, this is all me and your dad need..."

"I know Mom! And I'm also trying to do the same...move on to my new life, forgetting my bad past and experience..." She looked at Eric in his eyes while she spoke those words.

Eric didn't flinch to hear her, as he didn't feel anything.

"I hope you will be happy from now on…" her mom's words made her weakly smile while her tears came out and she wiped them instantly with her hands.

"Thank you mom…and I miss you so much…" Her words made her mom laugh happily.

"I miss you too…" her mom replied.

Angela doesn't want to talk further, so she finally disconnects the call.

Eric watched her calmly as he wasn't ready to talk with her now. He is upset about his own actions and feels guilty saying something for now.

"You think doing this, you can let me stay with you...then you are wrong…" She gave the phone back to him which he take immediately and was ready to leave but she again opened her mouth and said," What about Ella? Mom thinks I'm living with her...don't you think she will catch my lie and finally reach you?"

Eric stopped in his way and turned to look at her.

"You don't need to worry about that… I already made them believe that you are safe…"

He said before leaving her alone and locking the door from outside.

Angela greeted her teeth as she lose her last hope, her phone. She can't say anything even when she'd talk to her mom…

"Damn Eric!" She cussed him while feeling too angry.

Eric looked at Angela's phone screen and texted Ella that 'She is now outside of the city and wanted to be alone, so if her mom asked about her, just told her she's with her and enjoying her days.'

After texting that, he put the phone back in his pocket and moved toward the kitchen.

He wanted to make breakfast for her, as he did in the past days when they were together.

How much he adored those days inside his heart, but one mistake...one big mistake took all his happiness and made Angela far from him.

As soon as he reach the kitchen, the chef and servants fell silent and greeted him immediately.

"Good morning, Sir!" Everyone bowed while Eric ignore them and ordered in a cold tone, "You all can leave now and do other work! I need the kitchen empty right now!"

Hearing him, everyone immediately stop doing their work whatever they were busy with and left the kitchen hurriedly to let Eric do whatever he wanted.

Eric looked around the kitchen cupboard and took out the pasta to boil it in the pan.

He is going to cook white sauce pasta for Angela, as she liked it.

As soon as pasta was prepared he decorated it while his mind filled with past memories of their honeymoon where they shared pasta from the same plates and ate whole pasta from each other's mouths. That lovely moment always made his heart flutter.

He comes out of the kitchen with a pasta plate in his hand while his eyes go to one of the maids who is busy wiping the table with a small cloth in her hand. Later he orders her to come toward him.

The maid nervously comes as everyone is scared of him these days, they don't understand what made their master so change in nature while his and Angela's beautiful love relationship turned bitter suddenly.

But they all hope it got better and madam comes back to their master to make him happy again.

"Y-Yes, Sir..."

The maid looked on the floor while she immediately stood in front of Eric.

"You took this plate to Angela and told her to finish this dish before I come to her room again!" He forwarded the tray in front of her.

The maid immediately take the tray in her hands while nodding and replied in a shaky voice," Y-Yes Sir!"

She left him, as she moved to the master bedroom.

Eric looked at the maid as she vanished.

While he moved to the leather couch and took out his phone from his suit jacket and dialed Jack's number on his phone to know the latest news about the office.

"Hello, Boss!" Jack immediately takes the call.

"How was the work going?" He directly asked.

"Boss, everything is balanced but there is going to be a meeting next week which you need to attend and for that, you need to go to H city for two days."

"Alright, let me know when I need to go!" Eric replied while Jack replied yes and cut the call finally.
