Chapter 38: Chapter 38
Yvonne POV
Dave brought all the information regarding Natasha Wilbur to me, we had decided to meet up at the café we normally met. I opened the file with curiosity as I went through what was in it, but was disappointed since there was nothing I didn't already know that was in here.
I look up at Dave who was busy sipping his coffee and ogling at me with those big eyes of his. "Is this all you can find about her?" I lifted the file he had given me. "I know about everything here. I know that she is a popular musician and wealthy one at that, I know that her family is also wealthy and I know all about her music career. I need something new."
He chuckled and I glared at him, already knowing that he was up to something now. "You have to pay me for the next file, this is the most entertaining." He curled up his lips and sipped his coffee. "It is also important information." His eyes wobble in amusement.
I was curious and angry at the same time, Dave was too greedy and he loves doing this all the time, just to get extra money off me. "What information?" I asked with gritted teeth.
"You have to pay me four million dollars for this information." His lips curled up in a smile.
"I have no such money to give you!" I barked and luckily we were the only ones in the café so no eyes stared at us.
Dave ran his hands across his hair and got up with a smile. "Then I take it that you are not interested." He flashed me a smile and I looked at him begrudgingly. "You know how to reach me if you want it." He chuckled as he left the café.
I was so angry that all I could do was to knock off the cups on the table, that information must be what I need, and the only way I could get it was either to kill him or give him the money, but where do I get that much money from.
Russeli's POV.
I went out to get some materials I will need for the upcoming music with Dominic. I disguise myself in order not to draw much attention, whereas I need to talk about this walk since lately my mind has been filled up and I need some time to clear my troubled heart.
To me everyone around me was lying, my father and Yvonne who had been by my side and not to mention anything about the maid must have known what happened in the past, she must have kept it all hidden and she was sure to be the number one cause of it all.
I knew I shouldn't accuse her wrongly since I knew nothing about it yet, but I knew she also had something to do with it all. As of now, the only person that wasn't lying to me was Dominic.
I passed by a glass store and stopped when my eyes spotted something, Dominic noticed this and turned to me. "Russeli, what is wrong?" He asked me and I pointed without looking at him.
"That, it looks familiar." I swallowed hard as my head started to spin.
"You mean that glass music globe that has stars in it?" Dominic asked me as he looked at what I had just pointed out."
"Yes." I walked into the store and I knew Dominic tagged along. I bought the box and walked out of the store, I looked up at Dominic who had his eyes like me curiously waiting for me to explain my reason for buying this. "Dominic, I remember buying this for Malinda and I called her my star."
I placed my hands on my head as a flashback of me singing that music with Malinda came to my memory. "Russeli," Dominic called out as he held my shoulder to keep me steady.
I looked into his eyes. "That music was not dedicated to Yvonne." Tears rolled down my cheek as I looked down at the globe I was holding in my hands. "I dedicated that song to Malinda Kristen, she was my star."
My head buzzed as many flashbacks of Malinda came rushing into my memory, all the laughter, all the smiles, all the tears she had cried and even at the yard when she made a promise with me, they all came back like a rushing flood and I looked up at Dominic.
I held his hand and my eyes bored into his. "I now know Dominic, I have to find her, I have to find Malinda Kristen."
Yvonne's POV.
I was too curious to know the information Dave was keeping from me so I had to sell off a few of my things and also ask my dad for money, making up excuses why I needed it.
I handed the money to Dave and demanded he tell me about it all. "You are one curious soul, to have complied so easily." He said with a chuckle and it irritates me to the bones.
"Tell me immediately!" I shouted and he flinched, raising his hands in surrender, he looked at me with a now serious gaze.
"Okay." He sat up and looked over his shoulder, before leaning close to the table. "Natasha Wilbur was born here in Korea."
My eyes dilated as I looked at him in shock. "Korea?" I was curious to know more so I waited for him to continue. Originally, Natasha has parents that were from America. How can she be from Korea? If this is true, then my suspicion was right.
"Yes, and she grew up in an orphanage home after her parents died," Dave said as he handed me a document and I flipped through it without hesitation. "Her real name is Malinda Kristen."
My eyes looked at the profile name and my eyes grew wide. "Malinda Kristen." I mouthed. "How can that be?" I looked at the picture and my brow snapped together.
