Chapter 21: Chapter 21

Leila POV.

I heard Elana calling me but I couldn't see anything no matter what I tried.

The darkness surrounded me making it difficult to see anything or even know where I am. Thinking about what happened when I was healing Elana, I could tell the darkness had got up with me as I was healing her. I couldn't comprehend whether I successfully healed but I really want to believe that she is already healed and that she is the one who is calling me and that I am not dreaming.

"Hahahaha, your sister really got some nerves, does she think that I will let you go?" a voice said sarcastically making me look around. "You are so stupid. Are you looking for me? Hahahaha."

"Who are you?" I asked as I couldn't see anything no matter how much I tried, making me frustrated.

"Don't ask me stupid questions. You are me and I am you," it said coldly, making me shiver in fear before confusion hit me at his words.

"What are you saying? How can you be me and you aren't my wolf?" I said.

"Don't remind me about that bitch at all. I have already drugged her. She will be sleeping for a very long long time. She thought that she could defeat me. Hahahaha, what a loser!"

"You are so lucky I was weak. You are the big loser here. How could you be an idiot to wait till I am weak?" I asked, trying to annoy it so that I can know why I am.

"Bitch, if I am weak, so are you. I already told you that you are me and I am you. If you don't want to believe me then suit yourself," It said and I could feel it rolling its eyes.

"Then where are we?" I asked calmly, hoping that it would be convinced that I believed it.

"Can't you guess?" It asked sharply.

"No sherlock. How can I know where I am when I can't see anything?" I asked as I rolled my eyes.

"Never knew that you were so dumb," it said.

"Hei asshole, you better watch out what you are saying cause I will kick your ass and lock you if you continue talking nonsense here," I said angrily. "You better let me go."

"Or what? What can you do when you seem like a blind woman now?" It asked with a chuckle.

I closed my eyes since I knew that we will just continue arguing and I am so tired. I relaxed myself and shut out the darkness. I later could feel some movements and panics.

"Hei, what are you doing?" it asked nervously and I wondered why.

“Keep quiet and don't distract me," I mumbled before falling asleep.

"I am just tired and I want to get some rest. If you know what's good for you you better keep

"Leila, can you hear me?" I heard Elana's voice making me look around and search for her.

"Leila can you hear me?" she said once more and I rolled my eyes in return.

"Geez, I heard you. Can you stop making noise for me?" I said as I sat down under a tree.

"Leila, that's good. Listen to me, you are in danger and you better get out of there," she said, making me more confused.

"Danger? How can I be in danger while I am all by myself here?" I asked since I was confused.

"No, you aren't. The darkness is roaming beside you," she said and I sighed.

"No she isn't. I can't see her. She is gone after I told her that I want to rest," I told her with a smile on my face.

"Shit Leila. What have you done?" Elana asked loudly making me close my ears since I was afraid that her yell might destroy my eardrums.

"What wrong have I done? By the way Elana, where are you? I am bored here. Come keep me company. This place is so peaceful unlike in the pack," I said as I looked around to see whether I would see where she was hiding.

"I don't know where your darkness has taken you so you better defeat it and come back to us," she said.

"That thing? It can't do anything to me. It is just so stubborn and arrogant but it can't defeat me," I said with a laugh.

"Don't dare treat it like a friend Leila. It might harm you," she said, making me shake my head in disagreement.

"It can't, I am it and it's me."

"Gosh Leila, you better wake up right now. Aiden is so worried about you," she said and I stopped what I was doing.

"Aiden," I whispered before looking at my surroundings.

My heart started beating faster before I woke up from the dream and found myself in the cell full of darkness.

"You are awake so fast," it said, making me take a few steps backwards.

"I want to go back to my family while you stay in your place," I said.

"Hahahaha, that won't happen. I will take your place while you take mine," it said and I could feel it smiling.

"No, that's impossible. I will be giving you access to the outside world when there is war," I said hoping it will be more convincing.

"As much as it sounds convincing, I know that you are just saying that so that I can let you go," It said, making me sigh in disappointment.

"Hei, how can you not trust me when we are the same person? We need to trust each other. You shouldn't trust the outsiders. You should trust me alone," I said.

"Look who's talking. You trust your sister and your mate more than you trust me! I am sure that Elana has talked negatively about me. While Aiden, they are using him to make you get rid of me," it said in a low tone and I could detect sadness in the voice.

"I do trust them, yes. You can't blame me for that. Yes, she said bad things about you but didn't I defend you? No? I am sure you heard our conversation," I said and I heard it chuckling.

"Fine you won but that doesn't mean that they won't help you get rid of me forever," It said.

"You are the darkness of destruction. How can I get rid of you when you could be of help to me if I am attacked again? Like today?" I asked. "I promise to find ways to keep you without their knowledge."

"I won't fall for your lies! That's how Elana got rid of her darkness," it said, making me get desperate.

"That's Elana not me! Haven't we said we should trust each other and not listen to what other people tell us to solve our differences?" I asked.
