Aiden POV.

After some few minutes, an old man walked in and I could hear murmurs from the elders but I was silent and couldn't hear what they were saying since all my attention was in the man who walked in since everything that was been discussed was about my mate.

"Your majesty, my king, my elders," he said as he bowed.

"Raise up," I commanded and he did as instructed.

"Josiah, we've heard that you have something to tell about the queen?" dad asked the man and I knew from his sentence that they knew who he was.

"Yes your majesty," he said without looking up.

"Old man, why are you talking while looking at the ground? Or the person who you are talking to is seated on your feet?" Lisa asked making the rest chuckle.

"You bastard," Josiah said.

"Enough, both of you will take your arguments away. Josiah, the last time you walked in here was forty years ago then five years later you decided that you don't want to be part of the council. Tell us what has made you grant us with your presence today after all, you are a busy man," Eliud said while signing the quotation marks in the air making me shake me head.

"Have a seat, Josiah, you are the eldest here," dad said as he gestured the seat which was empty beside Amanda.

"Your seat has always been empty, waiting for you to come back," Amanda said and I finally got the answer to my question of why the seat was never occupied by anyone.

Josiah looked at them after seating down then shook his head at their words.

"Your majesty, I here to tell you about the queen's background but I guess Amanda and the rest who were still eldest during that time have already told you," he said as he looked at me and dad making as nod our heads in agreement.

"Lyannette was the daughter of Selene and Erebus. Even though she wasn't conceived in the right way, she was her mother's favorite daughter cause of her obedience. She was sent to make peace between the werewolves and the lycans. Through her we have the kingdom now and our unity between the lycans and the werewolves. Elias on the other hand was the son of Ares and Aphrodite. After Lyannette finished her mission, her nephew, grandson of Erebus was sent to destroy the works of Selene and also force Lyannette accept her dark side. Elias was sent to help in the war as all creatures turned against werewolves and lycans. As Lyannette and Elia spent time together, they fell in love with each other. They were later attacked making Lyannette lose her child since she was pregnant. Out of anger, Elias awakened his powers and fought beside Lyannette to revenge for the death of their unborn child. After the war was over, Elias begged her mother to grant them with kids and goddess of fertility, Aphrodite, promised him two daughters who will carry the powers of various gods but their strengths of the gifts will vary with their hobbies, ambitions and sufferings. They can do good deeds but also cause harm since their have the dark side in them from their grandfather Erebus. Oizys, the daughter of Erebus and Nyx is the one behind the rogues. She is here to revenge the death of his son. She not only wants to kill Leila but also wipe out the whole of Selene's creations as ordered by his father,"

"So you want to tell that that this more worse than we thought?" Matthew asked making as fall silent.

"In short it is a war between the gods but they have come in earth to fight and hurt us ordinary beings?" Lisa said while faking tears.

"Bitch," Josia said while rolling his eyes. "Elias knew what would happen when he killed the direct lineage of Erebus but was also filled with greed since he wanted to have children of his own. That's why he had a witch to mask their scent and whereabouts. Oizys is just aware that the youngest daughter of Elias is strong cause of what happened when she was born. She believes that she took her father's skills and wants to kidnap and use her to erase Selene's creation before she kills her too. But she doesn't know that is wrong. Elana is more powerful than you all think. Its just that she was told by his father to control all her powers unlike Leila. That is also one of the reason everyone thinks Leila is powerful, just cause her powers have been awakened by her sufferings. Yes, she is but she hasn't been taught to control them, if she is taught, she might be as powerful as Elana. They are both daughters of gods since their parents weren't half-gods."

"They are also gods," Mike murmured.

"Yes, they are gods. They are both goddess of nature. Elana is goddess of war and fertility while Leila is goddess of healing and destruction. If both of them practice well before the next war, they may emerge victorious even without the help of their father. After all, it would be two vs one. But it would be great harm to us if Oizys finds out that Elana also has powers. Most believe that she isn't the daughter of Elias and Lyannette but daughter of Lyannette and a werewolf. So Elana should continue to do what she does on daily basis. She doesn't have to practice since her powers are at maximum but it can be good if reminds herself," he concluded.

"I never knew that Elias was a god," Amanda said.

"Not many people know about who he really is," Josiah said.

The room was filled with silent as everyone was trying to digest what we have been told. I previous thought that I knew a lot about her and even after hearing Mike and Amanda explaining, I was confident that I will be able to help her through. That I would be able to protect her but it seems that I will be the one who will be needing the protection. I felt someone's eyes on me making me look up and I met with Josiah eyes. It was as if he was trying to see through me.

"If they are both gods, why did the moon goddess mate them with ordinary werewolves and lycans?" Eliud asked.

I lowered my head cause I really didn't want to hear the answer since even the thought of it pierces my heart. How I wish I was also a god.

Shaking his head, Josiah said, "Marcus is the son to Concordia and Apollo. He is the god of light and harmony. Since he has already mated with Elana, the darkness which was in her vanished hence she can't be used by the darkness to fight and cause chaos as the god of war. As for the king, I don't know why the moon goddess choose him thus, the darkness in Leila will always be there so you all need to be careful and let her do good to eliminate some of the darkness."

"That's why she is the goddess of destruction, right?" Mike asked.

"Right but that doesn't mean that her being the goddess of destruction will cause destruction and ruin everything. She can cause destruction by destroying the enemies. Just like she did today," Josiah answered.

"You said that Leila needs to practice what is she supposed to practice? Cause I can't get it?" I asked.

"She should learn how to prevent the darkness from overcoming her. Also, you should get some healers to teach her how to control her healing powers and the men who can control the nature. I hope you understand, she should know how to control the four elements of nature, water, fire, air and the earth. They will help in causing destruction when necessary.

The door was pushed open with a great force making at look at the intruder.

"My King, something has happened to Queen Leila."
