Third POV.

“Dad?” Elana asked as she couldn’t believe it.

Although it has been a long time since she saw her father, she couldn’t still recognise his voice anytime she heard it.

She turned around and looked at the man who was at the entrance.

If one didn’t know, they would mistake Josiah for being older than the other man because the man still looked young.

“Yes it is me, my dear child,” Elias said with a smile on his face when he hurriedly walked towards his eldest daughter.

Elana forgot how the others always saw her, ran towards her father and jumped into his arms.

“Dad. Why did you leave us?” she asked in a whisper as she cried.

She poured all the grievances she had suffered and she had endured cause she didn’t want either Marcus and Leila to know on her father’s shoulder.

“I am sorry dear but I have always had an eye on you guys,” Elias said as he patted her back as a way to soothe her.

Hearing this, Elana stopped crying and looked at her father with anger in her eyes.

“Always had an eye on us, huh? Are you serious?” she asked angrily as she couldn’t believe him.

“Yes I am serious. Do you think if I wasn’t saying the truth I would have sent Josiah here to always help you anytime you want?” Elias asked as he frowned as he couldn’t understand why she was so angry when he had tried his best to keep them safe.

“Is Josiah our father? Would he have given us the fatherly love and attention we needed from you?” Elana asked as she shouted at him.

“But wasn’t I there for you when you were young?” Elias asked, making Elana chuckle as she shook her head.

“Just me, not Leila! If you are a good father as you claim then you wouldn't have left us alone or wouldn’t have done nothing when Leila was suffering! She is your daughter yet you behave as if she isn’t!” Elana told him, piercing his heart.

“Do you know that if you came back at least when mom died my sister wouldn’t have suffered the way she did? You didn’t even come to see mom at her last minute. You claim you have always watched over us from where you were but if it is really true then you would have done something to prevent mom from dying!”

His eyes were now filled with sadness as he looked at her.

“Do you think I wanted to leave?” Elias asked her in a low tone but everyone heard it.

Elana let out a loud sarcastic laugh when she heard that and looked at him as if she was looking at a joke.

“What? Are you going to say that you were forced to leave?” she asked with a mocking smile on her face.

Elias felt as if his heart had been pierced into pieces when he saw his daughter behaving and talking to him like that. He let out a deep sigh and could get rid of the emotions running on his eyes before looking up to her.

“Yes but not the way you are thinking. Like being threatened to leave cause if it is that, I would have gladly killed that person,” he said coldly as his eyes flushed indicating how serious he was about that.

“What do you mean? Why don’t you explain then I will be the judge not you?” Elana asked as she looked at him with seriousness as she felt that there was a story behind his leaving.

“When you were a kid, there was a day we went to hunt deep in the forest. I remember that you fell in a trap which we thought at that time it was a trap to trap wild animals,” he said, making Elana remember that day.

She cried as it was so painful and seeing her blood black in color scared her to the point she fainted as she thought she had been poisoned and she was going to die. After waking up, she was told that her blood had always been a mixture of black and red.

“Since you were bleeding at that time, there were traces of your blood left in the trap and because I tried getting you out of it I was also injured and some of my blood was on the trap too. Oizys was the one who had set the trap as she had been told by one of her spies that we were going to the forest for hunting. She later got hold of both my blood since you have darkness in you, most of the times when black blood is shed off, it doesn’t dry up like the rest. Instead when it mixes with air, it becomes a sort of wind making a black ghost puppet. As for her, she also has black blood. I don’t know how she did it but with my blood on her hands, she was always able to tell where we were,” Elias explained, shocking everyone.

“How?” Elana asked as she found it hard to believe it.

“I don’t know how she did it but cause she is your aunt, she would use my blood to sense whether there is any other black blood around me. When I was near a person with black blood, my whereabouts would be exposed,” he added but he made everyone confused.

“If I am alone, she is unable to find out where I am and where my family is. But when I am with you guys, she could use your aunt-niece relationship to find us,” he added but Elana’s eyes were still full of curiosity.

“How?” she asked as she found it unbelievable for something like that to happen.

“When she placed her black blood near my blood, it was like saying its your blood near my blood as all it matters is black blood. Apart from that side, if I am really near a black blood in reality, the black blood will fly away to find the other black blood. When the black blood finds your blood or Leila’s or your mom’s, Oizys finds out where we are,” he explained and Elana finally understood it.

“I decided to go away so that she can’t use my blood to sense where you are. In all those past years, she was unable to find me or you cause she couldn’t use the black blood that she had placed near my blood as there was no any black blood around me,” he said.

“Is that something we can do?” Elana asked as she felt she didn’t know many things about darkness.

“Yes but when you are strong enough,” Elias replied, making Elana frown.

“Aren’t I strong enough?” She asked, making Elias shake his head.

“No! Your body and fighting skills make you strong but your darkness is on level twelve. If you want to know how to do that, you need to reach level twenty and above,” Elias explained to her.

“You said I made a black ghost puppet, where is it?” Elana asked as she knew that puppets are darkness taking human forms and they can fight as long as they are well trained.

“It was taken by Oizys during that time. I found out about it later on. She has been teaching it skills and how to fight and it's currently a pro. Cause it was taught by Oizys, it only obeys her but if it sees you and both you and Oizys asks it something, it will do what you tell it instead of listening to Oizys,” he said with a smile on his face as to him, Oizys was helping them out.

“Why?”

“When it gets closer to you, it will feel a connection with you. Also, since it is a part of Elaine, it will do what Elaine would have done. Although Oizys is like its boss. You are it and it is you. It is like a piece of Elaine is out. Do you understand? Elias said, making Elana nod her head as she understood and smiled brilliantly as she couldn’t wait for the puppet Oizys worked so hard on to betray her!

“Elana, Amaya and Leila are in trouble. They are asking us to led the lycans to ambush the rogues and Oizys.”
