Chapter 126: Chapter 126
Third POV.
“Lyannette gave birth?” he asked in disbelief.
“Yes sir. She has two daughters, Elana and Leila but they have lived all their lives on the land,” the servant answered as she looked up to see the expression on his face.
“I have granddaughters? My precious girl has two daughters? Why have I never heard of it?” he asked himself as he still found it unbelievable.
The servant was one of Selene’s trusted messengers thus she knew more than everyone else.
“I don’t know. Although my Lord didn’t want you to know, didn’t you send your daughter to earth to always keep an eye on Lyannette? Didn’t she tell you?’ she asked as she pretended to be curious.
As expected, Erebus' eyes turned cold.
“Oizys! Why did she dare keep this from me? Has she forgotten who her father is?” he asked angrily.
Lyannette had just arrived at the mansion. Just as she was about to walk through the front door, she saw her mother and stepfather fighting some warriors, making her frown.
Although she had followed them because she was afraid they might be in danger, that was because they didn’t go with any servants and bodyguards as they are supposed to.
She had been worried that they might encounter danger on their way. She had come to her father so that he could help her find out where they had gotten because she knew that they didn’t go on the land.
She then decided to go to them as she knew that her father’s guards couldn’t attack her but at the same time, she wondered why her father had asked his people to fight them. Didn’t he love mom?
Upon taking a closer look, she realised that it wasn’t her father’s guards but her father’s wife guards. This made her eyes darken and be cold. She opted not to go close to them as she wanted to teach the woman who wanted to kill her mother a lesson.
She hid her aura and herself before walking towards the back door but she wasn’t so lucky.
“You can’t go in, we have to inform our Lord before you do,” a man guarding the door said, making her speechless as she wondered since when did she need permission to get into her father’s mansion.
“Who do you think you are? Do I need permission to go into my father’s house?” She asked coldly as she wished she could just kill him.
“I am sorry but that’s the order from above. Even the other’s have to ask for his permission or be summoned so that they can go in,” another guard answered as he was started to get irritated but he knew how strong Erebus kids were thus he didn’t dare show his indifference as he didn’t want to lose his life
She had always heard that her other step-siblings couldn’t just go in his house and that they lived with their mother in a different mansion but she never believed it. Now hearing the guards words, she was speechless but she was pleased by her father inwardly.
“Are you crazy? Do I look like I am them? Get out of my way if you don't want to die,” she said coldly as a murderous aura covered her body making the guards choke as it was too strong.
They felt that something was wrong and they lifted their heads.
When they saw who it was, they felt chills on their spines not only because of what Erebus might do to them but also the coldness in Lyannette’s eyes.
“Princess, I didn’t know it was you. I am sorry, hope you forgive me,” the first guard said as he kneeled down immediately with his head lowered.
“Yes it is our fault for not recognising you earlier. Hope you forgive us,” the other said as he bowed.
Lyannette looked at the second and wondered why he was saying us instead of him like the other but she didn’t want to deal with them as her mother’s life was more precious to than theirs.
“Get out of my way if you don’t want me to tell him that you were prohibiting me from going in,” Lyannette said, making them open the door quickly.
After she left, they sighed in relief as they had just escaped a narrow death.
Everyone knows how precious she is. Even talking rudely at her would lead one to his grave cause she was always protected and loved dearly.
Lyannette walked in and ran to her father when he saw him.
“Dad,” she shouted, attracting everyone’s attention.
Some people held their breaths as they knew that no one would walk in without Erebus approval. They were now waiting to see how Erebus will deal with her as he has always been cold even to his children.
“Lyannette, my dear. What are you doing here?” Erebus asked immediately if he saw her but he was still in shock.
This shocked everyone as they weren’t expecting such a reaction from him but upon hearing her name, they quickly understood.
Although Selene hated him, she had allowed her daughter to acknowledge him as long she didn’t go to live with him.
“Dad, mom,’ she said as tears escaped her eyes.
“Come down my dear and tell me what’s happening,” he said as he patted her back.
Lyannette calmed herself and looked at him.
“Dad, mom and dad have been ambushed outside,” she said in a low tone but he still heard her.
Although he was clearly displeased with her calling Endymion ‘dad’ he didn’t say anything cause to him, his daughter should be loved and cared for by everyone.
He was also glad that Endymion loved and cared about her as if she was his own daughter. This was one of the reasons he tried staying out of that family. To him, he was satisfied that Selene gave birth to his kid.
“What do you mean ambushed? None of my warriors can attack your mother, they know the punishment if they do so. No one is allowed to lay a hand on either you and your mom,’ He said angrily as he couldn’t believe there was someone who had the guts.
The servant chuckled and said, “If that’s the case then you should punish Oizys cause she laid her hands on Lyannette and that’s why she is back here.”
Erebus averted his gaze from his daughter and looked at the servant with questioning eyes. He could tell what she was trying to say but he didn’t want to admit it thus he wanted to hear it.
“Dad, please don’t pay her attention now. Mom is in danger. I saw the guards, they are your wife’s personal guards and from their moves, it is evident that they want to kill mom,” Lyannette said, shocking him and everyone.
The wife was in the midst but she had been taking some steps back as she had been trying to escape when she saw Lyannette as she felt something would happen to her but luck wasn’t on her side.
Immediately Erebus heard Lyannette’s words, he looked in the direction where his wife was previously seated.
Seeing her trying to escape, he knew that everything Lyannette had said was true.
“Capture her while some of you go outside and get everyone who is trying to harm my beloved woman,” he said coldly.
“No! You can’t do this! Erebus told them to let me go,” his wife shouted as the guards caught her by force.
“Help you? Don’t you know the consequences of your actions?” Erebus asked coldly as he couldn’t believe that she had the guts to plead for mercy.
“She is just a slut that is good at seducing other people’s husbands,” she shouted crazily.
Both Erebus and Lyannette's eyes turned cold as soon as they heard her words.
Lyanntte vanished in the air before standing in front of the woman and slapping her.
“You better remember your place. I don’t understand why you haven’t divorced this woman yet!” she said the last sentence as she looked at Erebus coldly.
“Oh, or are you afraid of her family?” she asked with a devious smile on her face.
“Nonsense! I am not!” Erebus answered immediately as he knew she was mad and was blaming him for everything that was happening to her mother.
“Good. Then you should divorce her then kill her if you want me to continue acknowledging you as my father,” she said in a serious tone.
Erebus' eyes darken and looked at his wife coldly.
“You want my daughter to hate me? Dream on. Lock her up, I will deal with her later,” he said to the guards, seriously making Lyannette smile as she expected that from him and he didn’t let her down.
“Erebus, do you know what you have caused? My granddaughter is in your daughter’s hands. You better tell her to release her or if anything happens to her, I will kill all of you!”
